Black bullet, energy drink, milk, tramadol....

And I used to know one junior colleague who will mix all four components and gulp it. That was before Tramadol was banned for sale over the counter. Afterwards, he'll literally become horribly spirited and could lift a mountain.

So these guys kidnap to satisfy their cravings..

Drugs don finish Nigerian youths..

And one person was saying here that the kidnappers were killed and some arrested by Amotekun. He even uploaded videos and pictures. Propaganda can't alleviate the problems of Nigeria. Let's stop deceiving ourselves. Very soon, governors will be paying ransome to release their citizens if care is not taken; that's if they didn't even donate money in this case because the people kidnapped are obviously not the rich...

The governor should be made to pay the ransom, not the community or the parents.

The primary duties of the governor is to protect the lives and properties of his people. That is why he collects security votes every month.

Why is he thanking Tinubu by the way?

1. At some point, we got to stop paying these ransoms, then when the kidnappers wake up and see there is no money in it, they would immediately end the business.

Yes, I know I am advocating something that is 'bad' and yes, I probably won't follow my advice if (God forbid) someone close to me, or loved one was kidnapped. But at some point, we got to stop giving these people money. The more money we pay them, the more they will kidnap, the more they will attract more people into the business. When would it stop.?

2. We got to fund our police better, and the police themselves should set up a specialist anti-kidnapping squad. It is time we fought this thing fire for fire. Enough is enough. It is obvious this cannot be fought the current way, we got to change the methods of warfare now.

3. Yes it is bad that we got APC again for another 4 years. But, let us put pressure on them still to lead us well. If dem no hear us, dem go see people's wrath on the streets soon. Also, put pressure on your governor and LG chairman. Not to be grumbling on nairaland we go do am.

Thanks for being honest about the comment highlighted. But you can't blame the victims for actions beyond their limits. A proverb says, if there is life, there is hope. What will the children of the kidnapped victim take you for if they know as their mother, you allowed their father to die prematurely because of a stupid and selfish stand? The Bible says life is more important than resources.

Since clearly, you won’t follow your advice in dire circumstances, the best option is to lay ambush at the point of ransom collection. This is not rocket science!

Most of them voted for Tinubu....

Tinubu has been a terrible disappointment...

And to be honest I do not think that Atiku and Obi could have fared any better.

The way to go is state and community policing....

Am surprised that Tinubu, with all the hype around him, regarding his political sagacity couldn't muster the political will to initiate state policing by lobbying the legislators.
when we talk they always say we're defending one ethnic personality but to be serious I don't expect any from the three major contestants in ty last election

It did work. Kidnapping drastically reduced during that period. Tinubu knew the cashless policy will affect his plans for election rigging so he made noise and the policy was cancelled.

Tinubu and APC are a cancer to this country

The Nigerian police and other security agents are either benefiting from these ransom or they are just bn clueless.

Cash would have been the easiest way to apprehend these miscreants if Nigeria is a working country.

Any kidnapper that demand for cash would have easily given himself out for apprehension if the system is working.
