I'm Russian myself.
Some of us are racist but we are not fake. If this girl is with him, it means that she really likes him.

Ola one: Are you pro-EU or pro-Russia? This should be more important in your life right now. BTW, are you on your way to Britain for good already? Ukraine of all countries undecided
He's pro-Nigeria, presumably.

JesusDWay: @Latex Krasniy, thanks for your answers. I however still need answers to the question on Russian education compared to western nations' like the US and UK.

In terms of Christianity, using the times of Tolstoy and any other notable Christian figure in your nation, will you say Russians have better human behaviour than in recent times and if so, why isn't there a consciousness among your younger generation to embrace christian spirituality?

I don't know what morals were back then.
I think that it will take about at least half a century before Christianity restores it's previous influence in the Russian society. There are very few Sunday schools and schools geared toward Christian children in Russia.

About education. I honestly don't know. I'm sure that humanities are better taught in the UK or US. I don't know much about medicine, but I'm inclined to think that it is better in the USA then in Russia.
As for engineering education, I think that some Russian universities are on par with the best American and British technical schools, but only some of them.
What I know for sure is that we don't have ASUU strikes here. We have 24/7 electricity and running water supply, fast internet. Well, this can be said about most of the countries in the world.

JesusDWay: Are the OP's posts getting banned or what? I've not seen a reply from him in a while.
That must be British agents' shenanigans. GB can't stand it when other countries encroach into her traditional sphere of influence.
So, while he is being blocked by MI6, I'll try to answer some of your questions.

JesusDWay: Also, i asked a question about Leo Tolstoy. Someone made a comment about him but i still want something from you. I wanna know what you and other Russians remember and think of him. He was a religious personality, it suggests to me Russia must have had some Christian spiritual impact on its society at some point and if that is so, tell me what you think about the Christian faith. Thank you
Tolstoy's books are compulsory reading in Russian schools. I have only read his 'Hadji Murat' about Russian-Chechen war during the Russian conquest of the Caucasus in 19th century. As for 'War and Peace' - ain't nobody got time for dat!

Some people go to church, these church-goers usually being older women. Not many young people have read the Bible. I think that the absolute majority of Russians don't have deep Christian faith, which may partly stem from Soviet-era state atheism.

No I'm not.
I've been lurking for more then a year and a half. I registered this summer, but I didn't post because of my bad English.
And l don't want to talk too much about myself here, because I don't want to steal the show from some username.

Wow! I was quite surprised to see my compatriot's thread about Russia on the front page of nairaland.com.
I would never have thought that Nigerians (or, more correctly, nairalanders) would be so interested in Russia.
