So I stayed in one of the hotels mentioned here: Semi Ramis on Hawley Street, Obalende. Room is ₦4.5k with A/C

Couldn't sleep, was just singing praises and asking God for favor (I need to stress this part)

Left the hotel around 4.30am, dropped my phone with the hotel receptionist.

Got to Walter Carrington around 4.45am. I was the first person there. I just started gisting with the MOPOL Officers there.

The whole process started around 6am

I was the second on the queue. The lady in front of me went to a white lady, while the Chinese guy called me.

VO: Pass me your i-20 and Intl Passport (no good morning orishirishi)
I passed the docs.

VO: How did you get to know about the school?

Me: My cousin, who is an alumna of the school strongly recommend it and I also checked collegefutureboard and common app to see if the school meets my career goals.

VO: You are 24, why are you just going for your BSC?

Me: Upon graduation from Sec School in 2008, I did an OND in computer science for two years and a compulsory one year internship where I worked as a Data Entry Personnel. Then I went ahead to do an HND in the same course for two years. I later enrolled in computer school for a year and took my SAT in between.

VO: Why are there so many inconsistencies in your story? You just kept skipping programs, you didn't finish any. How am I sure you are going to finish your program?

Me: I did finish. Diplomas are not longer than 2 years and I did two before I went to Computer school?

VO: What's the name of the computer school?

Me: *I just went blank*

VO: What's the name of the computer school?

Me: The computer school is in Lagos.

VO: What is your major?

Me: Information Technology.

VO: How sure am I that you will come back? What will you be doing after the program?

Me: I intend working in a top tech company in Nigeria as a world class software developer, because we have just a few software developers in the country and I want to bridge that gap by becoming a solution provider.

VO: Be honest with me. Did you work at all? Just be honest.

Me: Yes I did, but they were volunteer jobs and I wasn't paid for those gigs so I didn't include it on my DS 160.

VO: Enjoy your stay in the US.

Me: What??

VO: I said Enjoy your stay in the US.

I really benefited from all the transcripts dropped here. At some point I wanted to scream "any Nairalander in the house?" but fear no gree me.

Please and Please try to do a mock interviews before your appointment.

finally the hulla balloo is over, I am not a fan of this show and so from my very neutral stance and subjective point of view, i think the wrong person won, why? he garnered votes and fans because of a biased social system clamoring for mediocrity, claim street, claim rugged and the people are behind you? from a more emphatic point of view, playing the pity card because you are seemingly not so well to do is not the way. The truth is Efe doesn't have one single thing to offer the world and Nigeria apart from "Streetness" . I only hope the opportunities outlives the 25m and he can build on it. As for Bisola, she's made!

I was rushing to my school bus stand to enter the bus before it fills up,then suddenly i hit my left leg against a stone,i now made the sign of the cross and continued my journey,then this girl walked up to me,and asked why i was making the sign of the cross,i replied her "the bible says we should pray at all time".she just laughed and we parted ways....a week later,i went to buy petrol at the station in my street,i had my earpiece stuffed in my ears,enjoying my highlife by osadebe,....i got to the station,bought the fuel,then on my return journey,someone tapped me and said.."oboy person d call u",when i turned,lo and behold,it was same gal i had met in school,i crossed to the other side of the road to meet her,i didn't know she was the one until she helped me recall....she was with plenty bags,and i inquired what she was doing with all those bags,she said she's just returning from Ph,that she saw me when i passed,and called me but i didnt answer her... I apologized,and asked her if she had any goody for me ,she said i should follow her to her house if i needed one....i declined cos i was rushing home to watch UEFA match,and told her i'd come for it another day,after which i collected her number and rushed off.......on friday that week,i went for a friend's birthday party,and slept over,when i was coming back on saturday evening,i met this same girl on the road,and she said i've been reluctant about coming to visit her,that i must follow her to her lodge that nite,i agreed,when we got to her house,it was a self con room,nice,i loved d paintings on her wall,i was admiring the room,while she was packing her cloths she washed earlier inside,after that,the next thing,she started undressing herself,leaving only her panties and bra on,after which she used her towel to cover herself before entering the bathroom,all this while,i just kept my cool,pressing my fone....she finally came out of the bathroom,and layed down on her bed with only her towel,we talked a few more minutes,before i told her that i'd love to take my leave now....when i got home,she sent me a whatsapp message saying i didn't ask her to offer me anything....i need ur opinions here,was she sending me GREEN LITES or was it normal?

BlueMurder: With the alarming number of reports of sleaze, fraud and outright theft coming out of high places on a daily basis, shouldn't we just adopt the Chinese model by wiping culprits out of the face of the earth? If convicted armed robbers can be sentenced to death by hanging, i see no logic in sparing the lives of pen robbers, whose imbecilic greed emasculates and endangers the entire populace. We must get harsher on these criminals. Or what do nairalanders think?

omosexy1: The doctors have no right to embark on a strike action. I wonder why people are blaming Fashola for the actions of insensitive doctors. If the state health ministry has not honour any part of the agreed negotiations, they should take the ministry to court. The court should decide the case. You just don't wake up and because you are aggrieved with your employers, you can tell them to go to hell and embark on a strike action. If there is anybody to blame, I believe it is the state striking doctors, who have decided to abandon their obligations to save lives for selfish reasons.
