ibnjarir: Abeg make una go sitdown jor....protesting for nothing, what is name change? Big deal!! Abeg help me ask dem oh.wuna skul fees go increase ne?abi

So it is right for the Nigerian police to attack students? The way people think in this country is so pathetic. If the school name is changed, they have the right to protest. Its a brand that is being changed and with the way Nigeria education is going in the world, its something to protect.

Students should be careful during this protest and I think the president should have consulted widely before it even an online opinion poll should have been used.

See the type of animals in human skin we have in this country.

under what guise and in what way can any sensible human justify attacking students and teargassing them IN THEIR ROOMS, not on the road, not in open air protest grounds IN THEIR ROOMS!

even if it were to be on the road outside during protests, does that make it right?
[/size]

so why do you ever complain about the military rule? why?

people went on protest in america over wall street issues. How many of the people who occupied wall street had their money in the hands of the brokers on wall street? do you know how many days they spent protesting, OBSTRUCTING BUILDINGS AND PEOPLE? were they tear gassed?

You people will surely get what you deserve in this country, mark my words you will.

and this ones are supposed to be educated?

this is why they say people get the leaders they deserve. animals will be ruled by animals

We can't leave the school: the Dsa's message was later modified that we can stay and if u read yesterday's punch ASUU chairman Dr. Ogbinaka said the decision was hasty and lectures would resume on monday....but that's beside the point.
@ filebe : where are u guys?

CuteXclaim: I don't seem 2 understand why the students of UNILAG(MAULAG)are protesting simply because of a change in the name of the school. How does that affect their academics, their tuition, their accomodation or their chances of getting a job in the labour market. Though, Mr Jona did not know what next to do, even if it was a miscalculated political agenda, so be it dat was his own loss.Let those students go home to their parents before one or two will become a corpse from the hands of those barbarians call themselves POLICE. A word is enof for the wise.
You re talking sense, where are those people who died bc of june 12 today, they are dead and gone without traces,bt govt is immortalizing MKO.If any of the student is shot dead today bc of this protest,UNILAG/MAU,MAULAG remains, nobody wil remember u bc u re known as a martyr, shelve ur strike, half a word is enough for a wise,so they say.
