Aitee1: What do u always mean by 'NIS shortlistment'? Shotlist frm whr or are u referring to replacement?
when GEJ cancelled NIS apt test, He said is only the Armed forces (ARMY,NAVY,AIR Force and police) that has the Right to conduct open Recruitment like the one NIS did. So with that, open Recruitment is not sure in ministry of interior, for Example-SSS didn't place Advert. But their Recruitment is ongoing.

Many people here makes me to Rememeber immigration Recruitment 2008, the day of screening the young officer that Brought out the wood for measurement of Height was a very short officer, we were up to 50,000 SSCE,NCE,ND,HND and B.sc after the screening of chest, foot and Height(in my state). We All Ran at thesame time, we were 47 people that survive the Race (SSCE,NCE,ND,HND and B.sc) and they need 150 people in my state that year. To cut the long story short, names came out after 8months for training, my name was not there But the only opportunity I had that time was to Buy one guy Appointment letter and use his document for documentation and in training because the guy got CUSTOMS job within dat 8months. I Refused because it might affect me in future. While am Bringing this whole story is that some people don't knw anytin Abt immigration, But they all Hide But when they see any post they come out to criticize hoping that the info their Helper gave to them is the final. If immigration, civil defence or prisons Release names for training today the few of us that will be lucky will not even Remember to post the info on Nairaland.................

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps [NSCDC] has been properly insulated from internal petty rivalry and competition among staff over succession and promotion matters through the inculcation of strict discipline and the promotion of higher values.
Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Dr. John Ade Abolurin assured that the issue of who takes over as commandant general after his tenure will not generate problems in the NSCDC like it did in other para-military agencies where succession issues become contentious and controversial matters.
Abolurin told newsmen in Abuja that although several young officers have been groomed and trained for managerial responsibilities, the officers are not competing to succeed him stressing that the personnel know that only God will decide who takes over as commandant general when he retires next year.
He disclosed that part of the training availed to officers were leadership courses at home and abroad including participation in management courses at the prestigious Administrative Staff College of Nigeria [ASCON] and courses in several military and intelligence institutions.
The commandant general assured that the managerial staff of the NSCDC will continue to work hard to sustain the laudable work ethics established in the corps as it affects discipline among personnel and ensuring a corruption free corps adding: “We do not want to leave history but we want to leave good legacies behind.”
Dr. Ade Abolurin also gave hope to thousands of volunteers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps dismissed at the formative stages of the agency, who have been fighting unsuccessfully for absorption into the corps.
He said proposals have been put forward to the Ministry of Interior for more funding so that qualified volunteers can be reabsorbed into the agency, saying it was a better alternative to embarking on the recruitment of new people.

Security and Civil Defence Corps, Dr. Ade Abolurin, has been described as a gift to Nigeria by by Ogun State.
The Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro, said this when he paid a courtesy visit on the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, after the commissioning of projects at the College of Security Management, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Moro said based on the achievements of the NSCDC under the leadership of Abolurin, it is confirmed that Ogun State gave the nation a solid gift.
At the commissioning of the projects, Moro said the Civil Defence College for Security Management would refocus and re-address the minds of security agencies and private security guard operators to the dynamics in the security arena, while bringing to their consciousness the need to be proactive in the management of security.
Meanwhile, Abolurin on has said about 150,000 personnel would be required for the 2015 general election.
Abolurin said this in a chat with newsmen in Abeokuta after the commissioning of projects at the College of Security Management, Abeokuta.
He said: “You know we will be complementing other agencies, so that number is the minimum requirement.”
The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, said the NSCDC is now a pride of the nation that should be emulated by other security agencies.
Speaking at the commissioning of the projects also, Amosun said the NSCDC had shown in just a few years of existence that it could deliver on its mandate beyond the expectations of the general public.
The governor therefore pledged to support the service in all ramifications.
Others dignitaries at the event were Oba Kehinde Gbadewole, the paramount ruler of Yewaland in Ogun State; the representatives of the Chief of Army Staff, Chief of Naval Staff and Chief of Air staff; the representative of the Commissioner of Police for Ogun State; and the chairman and members of the House of Representatives Committee on Interior.

I'm not trying to discouraging anybody, I am also praying for any FG jobs... And I'm believing God something will come up soonest...
Google NSCDC to mobilize 150,000 personnel for 2015 General Elections (2) Google: No succession war in civil defence. (3) Google NSCDC 2012 Replacement to see how many months they use in Releasing names and app letters. (4) Alert for open Recruitment is Advertising, while Alert for secret Recruitment/Replacement is when People start collecting Original App letters. (5) let me use this opportunity to say the two different News I heard on NIS, (1) said a list will come out claiming All the candidates on the list are those injured/family of the Dead, then Advert will be out towards Nov 2014 to clear the Air. (2) No Advert to clear Air But promises of Advert will continue till next year, But list will be out wit thousands of Names claiming is the list of injured/family of the Dead, NIS don't have second Batch of list since the history of NIS But others Have up to two to three Batches. @ Ejikyzazi2007, Am expecting more Questions from u and am Ready to Answer them.

merlina: I swindled job seekers of N403.6m —
Suspect

LAGOS — The employment scammer arrested by
the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps,
NSCDC, for duping job seekers under the guise of
recruitment into the Nigeria Immigration Service,
NIS; Nigeria Customs Service and the NSCDC,
among others, have confessed committing the
crime after defrauding applicants to the tune of
N403,624,992.
A statement by the spokesman for the corps,
Okeh, Emmanuel, yesterday, said: “The suspect,
Mr. Michael Ogun, on whom several documents,
including fake appointment letters of various
services including that of the Central Bank of
Nigeria, CBN, were retrieved from his mobile
phones and laptop, at the time of arrest, admitted
committing the crimes during the interrogation at
the weekend.
“Other details of incriminating things associated
with him include 50 bank accounts with different
names in different banks and over N955,
996,893.50, passed through the accounts as
proceeds from the fake recruitment exercise as
well as other crimes involving money laundry
which he also owned up to.
“Ogun, who earlier denied the allegation and
claimed he was set up, admitted that he was only
trying to put up a defence before the press and
for his family members and friends to see him as
being innocent of the charges against him.
“However, he did not know the extent to which
the case will go. To him, he thought he will just
have his way by denying the offence.”
Impersonator also nabbed
Similarly, the corps was said to have arrested one
Mr. Patrick Thomas for illegal possession of a
firearm in Awka, Anambra State.
According to the state commandant, Mr. Ben
Dikuro, the suspect was arrested at Bridge head,
Onitsha with 25 calibre pistol while parading
himself as a personnel of the corps to extort
money from unsuspecting members of the public.
“Patrick Thomas has never served in the corps
and the public should be aware of such fraudsters
by reporting them to the corps for appropriate
action to avoid denting the image of the service,”
Dakuro said.
In the same vein, CallistusNnebife, a 38-year-old
man from Ebenebe in Awka North and a graduate
of Electrical Engineering was arrested at Amansea
with 26 gallons of adulterated diesel (AGO) meant
to be supplied to a rice and garri processing mill
in Awka.
Nnebife, who admitted his offence, gave an
excuse that he did not know that apart from
operating licence for filling station that peddlers of
petroleum products are also required to obtain
licence. The Commandant General of the corps, Dr. Ade
Abolurin used the opportunity of the arrests to
warn applicants to beware that people with
sinister motives like Michael Ogun are still within
the society parading themselves as employment
agents to deceive desperate job seekers by
promising them recruitment into the corps and
other services.
“Therefore, applicants should note that the corps
is not recruiting, no replacement, whether under
ground, small or above the ground as it is often
being referred to,” Abolurin said.
