Fashion / New Age Of Fashion by Lawizacreations: 12:51pm On Sep 22, 2021
To some, fashion is a way of displaying the wonderful life they have chosen to live, whereas to others, it is a transition from an atmosphere of internal feelings to an outer representation of their personality. In any case, fashion is a part of human social endowment and ways of life. You must be able to look glamorous at all times before you can be labeled a fashionista. As a result, the ability to play with the appropriate accessories is very essential.

Where it all began:
Let's begin with the origins of fashion, where it came from, where it is now, and where it is going. Fashion has always been a gift given to humanity by the creator after they discovered they were naked. The first man was inspired to create fashion by weaving leaves together to make a garment for himself.

Humans began to create garments, which were eventually incorporated into their cultural customs and conventions. Years later, as humanity's population grew, a new idea of making clothing out of fabrics was embraced and fully utilized to create a diverse range of appealing clothing. This is accomplished by using specialized procedures to extract conceptual imaginary designs from fabric and combining them to create appealing outfits. Pattern drafting or freehand techniques are the names given to these methods today. Fashion, on the other hand, has grown in popularity as a result of how people accept it and how it has been integrated into society as culture and traditions.

What exactly is the new fashion era about?
Fashion is a fluid phenomenon that evolved as man's civilization progressed and new systems were established. The creation of bulletproof tuxedos that can be worn on important presentation occasions demonstrates how fashion is making in-roads into the military industry. In addition, innovative methods of producing clothing with any textured material suitable for fashion, such as avant-garde and haute couture, were introduced.

This serves as a warning that fashion is progressing beyond what we see today.

Fashion / Get Fashion Ideas From Haute Couture Spring Summer 2019 Full Show by Lawizacreations: 11:29am On May 26, 2021
Haute Couture is a much-misused phrase that actually has very specific rules for qualification. Translated literally, couture is French for dressmaking, while haute means high. These are garments created as one off pieces for a specific client. 19th century Englishman Charles Frederick Worth is considered as the father of Haute Couture and today members are selected by the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture. To qualify as an official Haute Couture house, members must design made-to-order clothes for private clients, with more than one fitting, using an atelier (workshop) that employs at least fifteen fulltime staff.

Fashion / Fashion Tips: Geometry Fashion Design by Lawizacreations: 1:51pm On Apr 02, 2021
Geometry is integral to all forms of design and fashion designers make use of it in decisions regarding shapes, patterns and prints. Angles play a role in determining necklines and hems, for instance, and sophisticated geometrical patterns are very often seen on garments

Fashion designers routinely make use of geometrical implements such as T-squares and rulers, with straight lines being a common sight in contemporary fashion. These include crisp, straight-edged collars and A-line dresses that flare out from the body.

Particularly in prints, checkers, bold zigzags and grids are common. Some designers aim for a disguising of the natural figure with such geometry, often by combining straight-edged garments with grid-like patterning.

Geometrical principles underpin fashion design more generally. For example, garments must be balanced on the body around a central fulcrum. This can be achieved through the use of symmetry or, with greater difficulty (and therefore greater expense), by exploring asymmetrical pattern designs.

Of course, fashion designers also keep in mind the way in which garments will fit on the body and which parts of the body will be drawn attention to while wearing the garment. This is accomplished with a keen knowledge of angles, and the way in which lines come together to create a garment's focal point.

To add more, I believe geometry design and concept as really contributed to the modern days fashion, the dynamism in the way fabric is twisted creates a good impression and outlook.

Education / How To Make A Peter Pan Collar by Lawizacreations: 10:51am On Mar 29, 2021
Chance has it that you probably already own a garment with this timeless feature. Its classic and pretty shape has survived fashion era after fashion era, and never fails to give a piece of clothing that pretty yet elegant look. You’re probably with me on this one? Oh! And in case you’re wondering – the answer is yes! You can indeed draft a peter pan collar for any pattern with a round neckline. Isn’t that great? Now is your chance to learn how to add this gorgeous detail to your future makes or the pieces in your wardrobe that you feel need that extra little touch of delight!

The examples above show that when you draft a Peter Pan collar, you can choose to have it rounded or pointy. The drafting method is exactly the same regardless of the style – flat, from a pattern’s or a block’s neckline! The collar is created from the curved necklines of the front and back pattern pieces of a bodice or dress. One of the most important things to remember when learning how to draft a Peter Pan collar is that, if you are working with a pattern that has seam allowances on it, you’ll need to redraw around your shape and remove the seam allowance. Sometimes I want to produce the thing so quickly that I work with the seam allowances on and I do manage to confuse myself!

So, here we go!

Education / Fashion Career - Should I Become A Couturier Or A Tailor? by Lawizacreations: 10:11am On Mar 26, 2021
Fashion design is a form of art dedicated to the creation of clothing and other lifestyle accessories. Modern fashion design is divided into two basic categories: haute couture and ready-to-wear. The haute couture collection is dedicated to certain customers and is custom-sized to fit these customers exactly. In order to qualify as an haute couture house, a designer has to be part of the Syndical Chamber for Haute Couture and show a new collection twice a year presenting a minimum of 35 different outfits each time.

Ready-to-wear collections are standard-sized, not custom-made, so they are more suitable for large production runs. They are also split into two categories: designer/createur and confection collections. Designer collections have a higher quality and finish as well as a unique design. They often represent a certain philosophy and are created to make a statement rather than for sale. Both ready-to-wear and haute-couture collections are presented on international catwalks.
