FamilyOur Daily-devotional - Jesus, Teacher And Savior - 4 April,2020 by Lawrence24(op): 10:04am On Apr 04, 2020
Mark 4:2, 'And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine,'

MARK 4:1-12
The Greek word used here for 'doctrine' means 'teaching' and occurs a total of 30 times in the New Testament. The four gospels refer to Jesus teaching 43 times and preaching 19 times, and six verses refer to Him preaching and teaching in the same verse. This would indicate that Jesus spent twice as much time teaching as He did preaching. Jesus' teaching is the basic building block of making disciples and a stumbling block to the religious.

Why is it that a person who is seeking so hard to please God can be rejected, while a person who has not sought God at all can come into a righteous relationship with Him? This is an important question and its answer is one of the most profound doctrines in scripture. The answer is faith and its object.

The Jews were zealous for the things of God, but their faith was in themselves. They were trusting that they could earn God's favor by their acts of righteousness. On the other hand, the Gentiles had no holiness to trust in. So, when they heard the Gospel message that Jesus paid our debt for us, they readily accepted His 'gift' of salvation, while the religious Jews could not abandon their trust in themselves for salvation.

The same problem exists today. Millions of church people are trying to live holy lives, but they do not have a true faith in Jesus as their Savior. If they were to stand before God and He was to ask them what they had done to deserve salvation, they would immediately start recounting all their acts of holiness such as church attendance, giving receipts, etc. Regardless of how good our actions are compared to others, they always come short of the perfect standard of God. The only response to this kind of question that would grant us entrance to heaven is to say, 'my only claim to salvation is faith in Jesus as my Savior.' Let Him be the object of your faith today. He is all you need.
FamilyOur Daily-singleness Of Heart 1 April, 2020 by Lawrence24(op): 7:48am On Apr 01, 2020
Matthew 12:35, 'A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.'

MATTHEW 12:32-45
Our spirit is definitely a part of our heart, but as seen in 1 Peter 3:4, it is only a part. Sin, iniquity, unbelief, etc., come from the heart but not the born-again spirit. Hebrews 4:12 suggests that spirit and soul are both part of the heart; hence, the scriptures admonish us to believe with all our heart (Acts 8:37), have singleness of heart (Col. 3:22), and tell us our hearts can have two minds or ways of thinking (Jas. 4:cool.

Even Christians still struggle with things like pride and foolishness which Jesus said came out of our heart. It's certain that our born again spirit is not the source of these sins. The heart encompasses more than our spirit.

The English word 'soul' comes from the Greek word 'psuche,' translated 'heart, life, mind, and soul.' The mind is the principle and leading part of the soul, followed by the will and emotions. We could also describe the soul as being the hidden part of all existing beings or what most people would call the personality. The soul is the center of the feelings and emotions, appetites and desires, as well as sense perception and consciousness. The soul may also speak of the totality of a person - his total being or self, a person, and the hidden man or inward man. The soul and the body do not get born again. It is the spirit of man that becomes totally new at salvation. So, although every believer receives the same miraculous spiritual rebirth, the visible results of that inward change will vary from person to person according to how much he renews his mind. The term 'heart' can include all of the inner man - spirit, soul, or any portion thereof. The peace of God will keep your heart at rest in Christ Jesus. Let Him.
FamilyOur Daily-rest And Re-fire- 31 March, 2020 by Lawrence24(op): 10:37am On Mar 31, 2020
Mark 6:31, 'And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.'

MATTHEW 14:13-21; MARK 6:30-44; LUKE 9:10-17; JOHN 6:1-14
Jesus often separated Himself from others so that He could spend time with the Father. Here, we see Jesus calling His disciples apart for rest and leisure. Many zealous Christians have neglected the needs of their physical bodies and have, therefore, cut their ministries short through death or severe illness. Likewise, many have failed to take the time to be still and know God (Ps. 46:10). This will also cut your ministry short through non-effectiveness. One of Satan's deadliest weapons against those involved in ministry is busy-ness. We must balance our time ministering to others with our time of being ministered to by our Father. If the devil can't stop you from 'getting on fire' for God, then he'll try to stop you by getting you 'burned out.'

Remember, the reason Jesus and His disciples were going to this remote place was to get away from the multitude for awhile and rest. This rest was not optional, but rather, a necessity. Jesus and His disciples were taking a much needed vacation. However, the multitude followed them and their vacation ended even before it began. Surely, Jesus and His disciples were just as disappointed as you or I would have been. But instead of anger or bitterness, Jesus was moved with compassion.

Later on in the evening, Jesus went up into a mountain and prayed until the fourth watch (3 to 6 a.m.). The Lord intends for us to take care of these physical bodies as can be seen by Jesus' actions in taking His disciples aside for rest. But when this purpose was frustrated by the demands of the ministry, Jesus gave priority to the spirit man and stayed up all night praying and getting the spiritual rest He was needing. We should follow His example and always put the needs of the spirit ahead of the needs of the flesh.
FamilyOur Daily-no Peace For The Wicked- 30 March, 2020 by Lawrence24(op): 7:56am On Mar 30, 2020
Luke 9:7, 'Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done by him: and he was perplexed, because that it was said of some that John was risen from the dead.'

MATTHEW 14:1-12: MARK 6:14-29; LUKE 9:7-9
Others may have thought Jesus was John the Baptist risen from the dead, but as can be clearly seen by looking at Matthew's account and especially Mark's record, Herod was convinced of this personally. This illustrates Herod's own conviction of the sin John had rebuked, his guilt and torment over his even greater sin of beheading John, and his fear of John and the God he represented. As revealed in Mark 6:20, Herod once listened to John gladly. It is certain that John was preaching his favorite message of, 'Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.' For Herod to hear him gladly, he must have been under deep conviction from God.

Herod feared his wife and the opinion of others more than he feared God. Herod was not as Festus, who told Paul he was mad for speaking of the resurrection from the dead. Herod knew the truth personally, was exceedingly sorry, and yet chose death - both John the Baptist's and his own spiritual death. Apparently, seen in this instance, Herod lacked peace after his fatal choice.

According to the world's mentality, peace is the absence of problems. However, God's peace is not dependent on circumstances. It is dependent only on God Himself who is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Heb. 13:cool. A Christian can have great peace even in the midst of terrible problems because his faith is in God. 'Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee' (Isa. 26:3). Let His peace rule in your heart today. Trust Him.
FamilyOur Daily-devotional-the Unpardonable Sin- 29 March, 2020 by Lawrence24(op): 4:19pm On Mar 29, 2020
MATTHEW 12:31, 'Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shalt be forgiven unto men: but blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.'

LUKE 12:10; MATTHEW 12:24-31; MARK 3:22-30
The word 'blaspheme' means 'to speak evil of; defame; or revile.' In context, Jesus is saying that blasphemy against the Holy Ghost is attributing the working of the Holy Spirit to the devil. Many people in the Bible did this, including Saul, who became the Apostle Paul. However, we see in 1 Timothy 1:13, that Paul said he received mercy concerning his blaspnemy because he had done it 'ignorantly in unbelief.' Therefore, the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost that Jesus warns about must be the willful reviling of the Holy Ghost with knowledge of what is being done.

This parallels Hebrews 6:4-6, where qualifications are placed on those who can fall away from grace. This passage indicates that only a mature Christian can commit such a thing. Likewise, with blasphemy against the Holy Ghost, rash statements spoken against the Holy Spirit in ignorance or unbelief by those who don't really know what they are doing can be forgiven.

From our human perspective, no clear line can be drawn as to when someone becomes accountable for blasphemies and has committed this unpardonable sin. We can be assured that God knows the hearts of all men and that He will judge righteously concerning this. However, God's Word does show us that when anyone becomes a 'reprobate,' they lose all conviction from God (Rom. 1:28).

Therefore, anyone who is convicted and repentant over having possibly blasphemed the Holy Ghost has not yet reached the place where it is unpardonable or they wouldn't care. Keep your heart tender and sensitive to Him. Listen to His voice speak to you through His Word today.

FamilyWant To Know The Hardest Part About Starting An E-commerce Business In Nigeria? by Lawrence24(op): 3:43pm On Feb 14, 2020
The problem with mini-importation...
Want to know the hardest part about starting an e-commerce business in Nigeria?

I'll tell you - it's knowing what product to sell!

I know a fair number of people who have been burned because they followed someone's advice to buy some products and now they are stuck with those products.

No market research, no audience analysis, nothing.

And then you end up tying down the cash you don't even have. It can get really frustrating at times.

But imagine this for a second...

✓ Imagine... you didn't have to import any product, thereby not tying down your money.

✓ Imagine... you can simply run a N500 - N1000 advert to test if a product will sell, and if it doesn't sell, you leave it.

✓ Imagine... you can choose to buy a product only when you get orders for it, making sure your cash is not tied down anywhere.

Do you see what I'm getting at? This is the peace of mind called local arbitrage.

Now don't get me wrong; mini importation can be profitable, but only IF you get the right product, at the right time and at the right price. With a very big IF.

It's like waiting for all the stars to align in the sky. It doesn't happen everyday.

So rather than wait for all the conditions to be perfect, and risking your money to import products that you don't even know will sell, start out by buying products in your country or state and sell them online without hassle - start with local arbitrage.

I've got an amazing program to show you today that’ll teach you how to get your own local arbitrage business kicking in 2020 and start an extra stream of income for yourself.

FamilyArbitrage Is One Of The Many Hidden Secrets To Wealth. To Money by Lawrence24(op): 4:26pm On Feb 13, 2020
Your local arbitrage invitation

Arbitrage is one of the many hidden secrets to wealth.

When you can buy low and sell high, and buy low and sell high again, you create a well oiled profit engine. Most people call it a side-hustle.

A very good side hustle that follows this principle and is easy for you to start is called local arbitrage.

Local arbitrage is just like mini-importation, minus the headaches that come with shipping.

In local arbitrage, you simply source products from within the country or state you are in, you sell it for a higher price and you pocket the profits.

This is a very cool side business, because anyone can do it and it requires no real skills in particular.

How it works is very simple:

✓ We go on sites like Jiji and look for a good product that will sell.

✓ We run a test ad on FB and/or IG to see if people will buy the product.

✓ We buy the product and deliver to those who order from us.

✓ We pocket the profits.

For example,

You can get a product for 1,500 naira on and sell on Facebook for 10,000.

After ads and delivery, we are left with a profit margin of 5,000 naira on each product.

Now this business is not without its hurdles as it is pretty difficult to scale, but it can provide you an extra 30-50k per week profit. That amounts to roughly 120k - 200k profit per month!

And you can have this running by the side while you keep doing your main business, or you can even turn it into your main business.

Now you may already know some of the sites where we source these products from (, Konga etc) but what you don't know is the new system in place for sourcing, verifying, getting sales, delivering orders and getting paid without hassles.

In this economy, it is always good to have an extra source of money coming in order to meet up with your expenses. An extra 200k a month can really go a long way.

If you are ready to get started with local arbitrage, I’ve got an amazing offer to show you today.

It’s called the Local Arbitrage WebClass.

In this course, you will learn:

why local arbitrage is the perfect model for starting an e-commerce side hustle.

the difficulties associated with the business (super important) and then how to tackle them one-by-one.

the types of products to look out for and where to find them (the price points to look out for, how to establish contact with the seller etc)

how to set-up the test ads quickly and test for as low as N500. You're going to need a few tools to make this possible. You’ll see how it’s done.

how to get the product and the delivery track to get them in the hands of our buyers as quickly as possible.

Health10 Ways To Control High Blood Pressure Without Medication by Lawrence24(op): 8:39am On Jan 30, 2020
By making these 10 lifestyle changes, you can lower your blood pressure and reduce your risk of heart disease.

By Mayo Clinic Staff
If you've been diagnosed with high blood pressure, you might be worried about taking medication to bring your numbers down.

Lifestyle plays an important role in treating your high blood pressure. If you successfully control your blood pressure with a healthy lifestyle, you might avoid, delay or reduce the need for medication.

Here are 10 lifestyle changes you can make to lower your blood pressure and keep it down.

1. Lose extra pounds and watch your waistline
Blood pressure often increases as weight increases. Being overweight also can cause disrupted breathing while you sleep (sleep apnea), which further raises your blood pressure.

Weight loss is one of the most effective lifestyle changes for controlling blood pressure. Losing even a small amount of weight if you're overweight or obese can help reduce your blood pressure. In general, you may reduce your blood pressure by about 1 millimeter of mercury (mm Hg) with each kilogram (about 2.2 pounds) of weight you lose.

Besides shedding pounds, you generally should also keep an eye on your waistline. Carrying too much weight around your waist can put you at greater risk of high blood pressure.

In general:

Men are at risk if their waist measurement is greater than 40 inches (102 centimeters).
Women are at risk if their waist measurement is greater than 35 inches (89 centimeters).
These numbers vary among ethnic groups. Ask your doctor about a healthy waist measurement for you.

2. Exercise regularly
Regular physical activity — such as 150 minutes a week, or about 30 minutes most days of the week — can lower your blood pressure by about 5 to 8 mm Hg if you have high blood pressure. It's important to be consistent because if you stop exercising, your blood pressure can rise again.

If you have elevated blood pressure, exercise can help you avoid developing hypertension. If you already have hypertension, regular physical activity can bring your blood pressure down to safer levels.

Some examples of aerobic exercise you may try to lower blood pressure include walking, jogging, cycling, swimming or dancing. You can also try high-intensity interval training, which involves alternating short bursts of intense activity with subsequent recovery periods of lighter activity. Strength training also can help reduce blood pressure. Aim to include strength training exercises at least two days a week. Talk to your doctor about developing an exercise program.

3. Eat a healthy diet
Eating a diet that is rich in whole grains, fruits, vegetables and low-fat dairy products and skimps on saturated fat and cholesterol can lower your blood pressure by up to 11 mm Hg if you have high blood pressure. This eating plan is known as the Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) diet.

It isn't easy to change your eating habits, but with these tips, you can adopt a healthy diet:

Keep a food diary. Writing down what you eat, even for just a week, can shed surprising light on your true eating habits. Monitor what you eat, how much, when and why.
Consider boosting potassium. Potassium can lessen the effects of sodium on blood pressure. The best source of potassium is food, such as fruits and vegetables, rather than supplements. Talk to your doctor about the potassium level that's best for you.
Be a smart shopper. Read food labels when you shop and stick to your healthy-eating plan when you're dining out, too.
4. Reduce sodium in your diet
Even a small reduction in the sodium in your diet can improve your heart health and reduce blood pressure by about 5 to 6 mm Hg if you have high blood pressure.

The effect of sodium intake on blood pressure varies among groups of people. In general, limit sodium to 2,300 milligrams (mg) a day or less. However, a lower sodium intake — 1,500 mg a day or less — is ideal for most adults.

To decrease sodium in your diet, consider these tips:

Read food labels. If possible, choose low-sodium alternatives of the foods and beverages you normally buy.
Eat fewer processed foods. Only a small amount of sodium occurs naturally in foods. Most sodium is added during processing.
Don't add salt. Just 1 level teaspoon of salt has 2,300 mg of sodium. Use herbs or spices to add flavor to your food.
Ease into it. If you don't feel you can drastically reduce the sodium in your diet suddenly, cut back gradually. Your palate will adjust over time.
5. Limit the amount of alcohol you drink
Alcohol can be both good and bad for your health. By drinking alcohol only in moderation — generally one drink a day for women, or two a day for men — you can potentially lower your blood pressure by about 4 mm Hg. One drink equals 12 ounces of beer, five ounces of wine or 1.5 ounces of 80-proof liquor.

But that protective effect is lost if you drink too much alcohol.

Drinking more than moderate amounts of alcohol can actually raise blood pressure by several points. It can also reduce the effectiveness of blood pressure medications.

6. Quit smoking
Each cigarette you smoke increases your blood pressure for many minutes after you finish. Stopping smoking helps your blood pressure return to normal. Quitting smoking can reduce your risk of heart disease and improve your overall health. People who quit smoking may live longer than people who never quit smoking.

7. Cut back on caffeine
The role caffeine plays in blood pressure is still debated. Caffeine can raise blood pressure up to 10 mm Hg in people who rarely consume it. But people who drink coffee regularly may experience little or no effect on their blood pressure.

Although the long-term effects of caffeine on blood pressure aren't clear, it's possible blood pressure may slightly increase.

To see if caffeine raises your blood pressure, check your pressure within 30 minutes of drinking a caffeinated beverage. If your blood pressure increases by 5 to 10 mm Hg, you may be sensitive to the blood pressure raising effects of caffeine. Talk to your doctor about the effects of caffeine on your blood pressure.

8. Reduce your stress
Chronic stress may contribute to high blood pressure. More research is needed to determine the effects of chronic stress on blood pressure. Occasional stress also can contribute to high blood pressure if you react to stress by eating unhealthy food, drinking alcohol or smoking.

Take some time to think about what causes you to feel stressed, such as work, family, finances or illness. Once you know what's causing your stress, consider how you can eliminate or reduce stress.

If you can't eliminate all of your stressors, you can at least cope with them in a healthier way. Try to:

Change your expectations. For example, plan your day and focus on your priorities. Avoid trying to do too much and learn to say no. Understand there are some things you can't change or control, but you can focus on how you react to them.
Focus on issues you can control and make plans to solve them. If you are having an issue at work, try talking to your manager. If you are having a conflict with your kids or spouse, take steps to resolve it.
Avoid stress triggers. Try to avoid triggers when you can. For example, if rush-hour traffic on the way to work causes stress, try leaving earlier in the morning, or take public transportation. Avoid people who cause you stress if possible.
Make time to relax and to do activities you enjoy. Take time each day to sit quietly and breathe deeply. Make time for enjoyable activities or hobbies in your schedule, such as taking a walk, cooking or volunteering.
Practice gratitude. Expressing gratitude to others can help reduce your stress.
9. Monitor your blood pressure at home and see your doctor regularly
Home monitoring can help you keep tabs on your blood pressure, make certain your lifestyle changes are working, and alert you and your doctor to potential health complications. Blood pressure monitors are available widely and without a prescription. Talk to your doctor about home monitoring before you get started.

Regular visits with your doctor are also key to controlling your blood pressure. If your blood pressure is well-controlled, check with your doctor about how often you need to check it. Your doctor may suggest checking it daily or less often. If you're making any changes in your medications or other treatments, your doctor may recommend you check your blood pressure starting two weeks after treatment changes and a week before your next appointment.

10. Get support
Supportive family and friends can help improve your health. They may encourage you to take care of yourself, drive you to the doctor's office or embark on an exercise program with you to keep your blood pressure low.

If you find you need support beyond your family and friends, consider joining a support group. This may put you in touch with people who can give you an emotional or morale boost and who can offer practical tips to cope with your condition.

Thank you guys.

Health10 Best Tricep Exercises & Workouts For Men by Lawrence24(op): 3:16pm On Jan 29, 2020
The best tricep workouts and exercises for men are a surefire way to help get you to the nearest gun show (figuratively speaking, of course). And while bulging triceps aren’t as visible as bulging biceps, don’t take that to mean they’re any less important.

On the contrary, hardcore tricep workouts will build the necessary strength you need to keep pushing yourself in the gym. That’s because triceps take up nearly 60% of your upper arm mass, thereby providing a literal foundation for your continuing muscle growth, definition, and improvement.

To put it another way: your overall upper arm strength is only as good as the strength of your triceps. Furthermore, no fitness freak would really argue with horseshoe triceps, a veritable sign of modern fortitude.

If all this isn’t enough to pivot your focus toward this oft-overlooked muscle group, then you just keep on with bicep workouts and see how far it takes you. Go ahead. We dare you…

Tricep Workout Pointers
Before we dive into the best tricep workouts and exercises for men, allow us to dispense with a few pointers:

Don’t forget to warm-up those muscles before you start in on the harder exercises.
If you’re a beginner, stick with machines before moving onto free weights.
If you’re trying to build mass, start with multi-joint exercises and don’t be afraid to go to failure. Also, be sure to include both arm-overhead and lateral exercises in your tricep workout.
If muscle definition is your goal, start with multi-joint exercises and then work your way toward targeted supersets. Move quickly and don’t be afraid to go to failure.
The lateral head—which is located on the top of your tricep—is the largest of the three heads in your upper arm. If you’re focusing on this area, incorporate exercises during which your arms stay by your sides, such as an overhead grip.

Here are the 10 Best Tricep Exercises for Men
Welcome to muscle country. Population: you. That is, of course, presuming you pick up one or more of the following tricep exercises for men. Combine 6 or 7 to complete a full-blown tricep workout.

Like we said above, beginners should start on the machine before graduating to the bench. Also, maxing out your triceps isn’t necessarily frowned upon so keep pushing yourself once you feel the burn. Here we go:

1. Close-Grip Bench Press
Not only does this tricep exercise work on the targeted area, but it will also improve upon your chest and core. To execute, perform the following steps:

Grab a barbell with an overhand grip, keeping your index fingers on the inside edge of the knurling (i.e. the rough and textural part of the bar)
Slightly arch your back to create minor space between your lower back and the bench.
Life the bar off the rack and hold it above your sternum, keeping your arms completely straight and your elbows tucked at 45-degree angles on either side.
Lower the bar until it lightly touches your body, pause, and then drive through at your feet as you press the bar upward.
For the last set, consider reducing the weight and then increasing the number of reps, pushing yourself to failure.
Sets: 3-4
Reps: 6-8
Rest: 60 seconds between each set

2. Cable Rope Tricep Pushdown
If you’re targeting the triceps, don’t overdo it on the weights when performing this exercise. Here’s how:

Attach a rope to the cable station’s high pulley.
Grab the handle with an overhand grip, keeping your arms bent and your hands shoulder-width apart.
Tuck your upper arms toward your sides.
Keeping your upper arms fixed in place, push the bar down until your elbows are locked.
Return to the starting position and repeat.
Sets: 3
Reps: 10
Rest: 60 seconds between each set

3. Lying Triceps Extension
This exercise is sometimes known as the skullcrusher and that alone should tell you it’s not for beginners. And while there’s more than one way to perform it (over-the-head vs behind-the-head, for instance), elbow extension remains constant.

After you’ve mastered other tricep workouts and exercises, bring this one into the fold. When you’ve become a true master of your upper domain, perform this tricep exercise and a dumbbell chest press as a superset.

Here’s one variant:

Grabbing the inner grip, press an EZ bar over your chest in the overhand grip position.
Extend your arms straight up.
Keeping your elbows tucked in and your arms perpendicular to the floor, gradually lower the bar until it’s just above your forehead by about an inch.
Slowly bring your arms back to the starting position without locking your elbows.
Repeat.
Sets: 3
Reps: 10-12
Rest: 60 seconds between each set

4. Tricep Dips
Here’s another tricep exercise for men who have more experience under their respective belts. It involves using your entire body weight and should be avoided by those with weak shoulders. Start with just 2 sets of 8-10 reps and increase the number of sets and reps as you improve over time. Here we go:

Prop yourself up on the parallel bars, keeping your torso perpendicular to the floor.
Maintaining your original position throughout, bend your knees and cross your ankles.
Lower your body until your shoulder joints are below your elbows or just before you reach that position.
Push back up to the starting position, until your elbows are just short of locked.
Repeat.
Sets: 2
Reps: 8-10
Rest: 60 seconds between each set

5. Diamond Push-Ups
A semi-strenuous alternative to your standard push-up, you can perform this tricep exercise from the comfort of your own home. Here’s how:

Assume the push-up position, but with your hands together in a diamond-like formation (i.e. index fingers and thumbs touching).
Keeping your back straight, lower your chest until it almost touches the floor.
Rise and repeat.
Sets: 3
Reps: 15-20
Rest: 60 seconds between each set

6. Bench Dip
Unlike the tricep dip, this basic workout doesn’t require copious amounts of muscle or experience. Grab a standard workout bench and perform the following steps:

Stand up and face away from the bench, grabbing it with both hands at shoulder-width.
Keeping your legs straight and extended in front of you, slowly lower your body until your arms and forearms are at 90-degree angles.
Push through at the triceps as you lift back to the starting position.
Repeat.
Sets: 3
Reps: 10-12
Rest: 60 seconds between each set

7. One-Arm Overhead Extension
Odds are you’re already doing something like this, making it a fairly simple and approachable tricep exercise. Here’s how to execute:

Sit perfectly upright on a workout bench and grab a dumbbell with one hand.
Holding the dumbbell, lift your arm slightly behind your head with your elbow bent.
Extend your elbow until your arm is straight overhead.
Perform 10 reps with one arm before switching to the other to round out the set.
Sets: 3
Reps: 10-12
Rest: 60 seconds between each set

8. Standard Push-Up
An oldie but goodie, the classic push-up builds strength in your core, chest, and triceps. To crank up that intensity dial, consider bringing in a weight vest. Pardon us while we tell you how to perform an exercise you know all too well:

Keeping your hands beneath your shoulders, your core locked, and your body in a straight line, prop yourself above the floor on your hands and toes.
Lower your body until your chest is just above the ground.
Thrust upward.
Repeat.
Sets: 3
Reps: 15-20
Rest: 60 seconds between each set

9. Standing Overhead Cable Triceps Extension + Straight Arm Cable Pull-Down
In case the title’s not a dead giveaway, you’ll need a cable machine for this tricep exercise, which forms a superset. Let’s get into it:

Attach a rope to the high pulley of the cable station.
Grab the handle and face away from the machine, keeping your hands even with your shoulders.
Fully extend your arm forward in front of your head.
Return to the starting position.
Repeat for 10-12 reps.
Move directly into a straight arm cable pull-down, which involves grabbing the handle from the top pulley, palms facing one another.
Bend 30 degrees forward at the waist, keeping your arms fully extended.
Pull the bar down until your hands are even with your thighs.
Return to the starting position and repeat.
Sets: 3
Reps: 10-12
Rest: Superset

10. 45-Degree Incline Dumbbell Chest Press
Here’s another tricep exercise you might already be performing. This is how to get it done:

Position your workout bench at a 45-degree angle.
Lie back on the bench and lift the dumbells to shoulder height, palms facing outward.
Exhale as you simultaneously press up with both arms.
Lock out your arms and contract your chest before slowly returning to the start position.
Repeat.
Sets: 3
Reps: 10-12
Rest: 60 seconds between each set.

Health10 Practical Tips On Improving Your Memory by Lawrence24(op): 12:16pm On Jan 28, 2020
As long as there’s a scrap of paper to be written on, anything can be remembered. But why rely on writing everything down when there are easy, natural, and sometimes strange ways to improve your memory? These ten practical tips on improving your memory will definitely stimulate your brain.

1. Play brain games.
By the time you’re an adult, you probably have a routine carved out. Get up, go to work, come home, be with family. These habits work because you’ve done them over and over, and they use the same neural pathways in your brain. Shaking up this routine can stimulate your brain so it keeps developing. Find brain teasers, or do sudoku and crossword puzzles in the paper. There are an influx of websites and game cartridges that will help you use your brain in different ways. Brain games don’t have to be on a computer or handheld device! Taking a new way home from work, visiting different places over the weekend, and reading different types of books will also activate lesser-used areas of the brain. Anything that’s new, fun, and challenging will stimulate your brain.

2. Eat brain foods.
Food is fuel for the body, and also fuels the brain! Eating a well-balanced diet will not only improve your memory‒it can reduce your risk of dementia in old age. Eat plenty of omega-3s, which can be found in a variety of fish. If you don’t like seafood, try eating more walnuts, spinach, broccoli, and kidney beans. Eat more fruits and vegetables; they’re packed with antioxidants that protect brain cells from damage.

3. Exercise.
Exercising keeps your body in shape, but it also keeps your brain healthy. Losing weight not only restores your body to how it used to look, it also improves your memory function. Walking six to nine miles a week, especially as you get older, helps preserve your memories. It’s been shown that, after nine years of this type of exercise, you’ll have more brain volume than someone who has led a more sedentary lifestyle.

4. Get enough sleep.
It’s common sense that you need a certain amount of sleep to function every day, but did you know that sleep improves memory? It’s because your brain stays so busy, even while you’re asleep! The brain works on memories, even reorganizing them. Now some of your dreams make a little more sense, right?

5. Chew gum.
A study showed that chewing gum helped individuals stay more focused on a task. They also had improved short-term memory compared with those who didn’t chew gum. Just make sure your chewing doesn’t turn into annoying chomping‒that might disrupt others’ concentration!

6. Manage stress levels.
Stress makes you feel strung out and hectic, but it also negatively impacts your brain. Over time, chronic stress kills brain cells and damages the hippocampus, the section of the brain that forms new memories and stores old ones.

7. Have a healthy iron level.
Iron deficiency can have adverse effects on brain function, including attention and memory issues. Studies have shown that people who have low iron levels and took memory tests took longer to finish these tests, as well as scored significantly lower than people with normal iron levels. Thankfully, taking an iron supplement easily reverses these negative points. In that same study, people who took supplements scored at a normal level just a couple of months later.

8. Clench your right fist.
Sounds crazy simple, right? … Or just crazy. But a study was done showing that individuals who clenched their right fists while learning new material, then clenched their left fist when recalling that material, remembered more than groups who didn’t clench their fists at all.

9. Learn to focus.
Multitasking has always been hailed as a good thing, a trait that makes people more productive. But it’s not. Multitasking actually distracts your brain. Trying to juggle too many tasks at once prevents you from focusing on, and completing, one thing.

10. Sip red wine.
Last but certainly not least! Don’t we always love a doctor-given reason to drink wine? Red wine is rich in resveratrol, which boosts blood flow in the brain and reduces risk of Alzheimer’s disease. Be sure you drink in moderation, since alcohol can kill brain cells. Doctors recommend one glass a day for women, and two for men. If you want to stay away from alcohol completely, resveratrol is also found in cranberry juice, grape juice, peanuts, and fresh grapes and berries.

your Health Guides:

How To Get Rid of Body Odor: Easy Remedies

Body odor is an everyday striving problem for some people, and they tend to use powerful chemically-based deodorants and frequent baths to stop the stink. But what natural remedies can we do to stop it?

Body odor may have an impression that it only lingers in the armpits, but the truth is any stench from the body (as the name applies) is considered to be one. For example, stinky feet and foul smelling privates (yes even those) are generally considered body odor.

So what natural remedies can we take to solve this stinky problem? Based on Medicaldaily, here are some tips on how we can rid of it naturally.

Shave Underarms so that you can remove a breeding environment for bacteria that cause foul smells. Hair can easily absorb odor, and because of armpits’ location – the swampy environment takes time to get dry.

Use Vinegar to help lower the pH level of skin. This in turn will become an anti-bacteria environment. Bacteria dies in an acidic environment. The only warning is that, you can only apply vinegar on your underarms if the skin is free from cuts or wounds – or it will give you a sting. The same can be applied for private parts.

Use Witch Hazel Extract since it is a natural antiseptic. It can be substituted for your chemically-based deodorant. It can also be applied to stop the stench in your privates.

Switch Shoes whenever possible. Shoes can accumulate bacteria concentration which results to foul-smelling feet. To prevent this from happening, giving your favourite shoes a break and using another one instead for a time being will a lot.

Artificial sprays and strong perfumes are just short-term remedies with lingering negative effects due to chemicals. But the given natural remedies can definitely help you out a lot.

Body odor is very unpleasant and embarassing for anyone. Free yourself from shame, smell good and have great confidence.

Think about it.

Jesus - The Name Above Names
29th November
Then he questioned with him in many words; but he answered him nothing.
Luke 23:9
Not only does Jesus' refusal to defend Himself show His humility, but His refraining from venting His wrath against the man who senselessly killed His friend who was the greatest of the Old Testament prophets (Mt. 11:11), also displays His humble nature.

Because of Christ's humility and obedience to the Father, God gave Him a name that is above every name in heaven, earth and under the earth. There is no exemption for anyone or anything from coming under the Lordship of Jesus. He is Lord of ALL.

Jesus has not only been exalted above every "being" that has a name, but He is also highly exalted above anything else that can be named. If you can put a name on it, Jesus is above it. Sickness, poverty, depression, anger - everything has to bow its knee to the Lordship of Jesus.

Every knee of men, angels, and demons will bow and confess that Jesus is Lord. Those who have denied His existence will bow in worship. Those who have spent their lives rebelling His authority will finally bow in submission.

Every being from all ages will ultimately bow and worship Jesus. If we bow our knee to His Lordship now, we will enjoy a wonderful life here on earth, and an eternity in His blessings hereafter. Those who deny His rightful claim to the Lordship of their lives will suffer for it in this life as well as in the next. They still will have to bow their knee to His authority, so there is nothing to gain and everything to lose if they refuse to make Jesus Lord of their life.
Christianity EtcOur Daily-devotional-what Is A Miracle? 28th November by Lawrence24(op): 7:14am On Nov 28, 2019
What Is A Miracle?
28th November
And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long season, because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him.
Luke 23:8
Herod desired to see Jesus perform some kind of miracle, and some of the questions he asked Jesus made this desire obvious. However, Jesus did not use His faith to do any miracles for Herod.

Miracles are God's way of meeting the needs of those who seek Him in faith. Miracles will sometimes be used to demonstrate God's ability so that people may believe (Mk. 2:10-11), but they will not happen to skeptics who are tempting God (Lk. 4:9-12).

A miracle is a supernatural intervention of God's power over natural law.

Healings occur within the boundaries of natural law while miracles are not limited to natural law. A person with a high fever who receives prayer and then begins to recover is experiencing a healing. The Lord intervened but in natural ways. The virus, infection, or whatever was rebuked left the body (Lk. 4:39) and then the natural healing process that the Lord built into all of us took over. When something totally supernatural happens, that's a miracle. When Jesus reattached the servant's ear and it was instantly whole after Peter cut it off (Lk. 22:51), demonstrated a miracle. It was also a healing, but it was a miraculous healing.

Feeding the five thousand (Mt. 14:19-20), walking on the water (Mt. 14:25), translating a ship and all aboard to the other side of the sea (Jn. 6:21) - all these are miracles. Miracles are usually instantaneous whereas healings are sometimes gradual.

The Lord has never had anyone who was qualified working for Him. It's by God's grace that He uses any of us. Anyone who claims to be used of God because of his great holiness is either deceived or a deceiver. It's our faith in the grace of God that allows miracles to flow through us. Thank you for reading. do have a wonderful day.

Receive The Ministry Of The Angels
14th November
And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.
Luke 22:43
We have angels assigned to us. Hebrews 1:14 further reveals that their purpose is to minister to us, on our behalf. In the Old Testament, Psalm 91 teaches on the ministry of angels to God's people.

Some people who have realized this truth have taken it as far as to say that we are suppose to speak to our angels and they will obey our commands. There is no instruction in scripture to do this nor is there any example of that being done. We don't have the intelligence to administer all of the angels.

Many of the angels' protective duties described in Psalm 91 are preventative, and we certainly could not effectively command these activities.

Rather, these angels are dispatched exactly as this verse describes - by looking at the Father's face (Mat. 18:10). God Almighty controls them for us; however, we do have a part to play. Psalm 91 prefaces all of these promises about angels as being for those who dwell in the secret place of the most High. Verse 2 further instructs us to say that the Lord is our refuge and fortress and in Him we trust.

It is the combination of our faith in God and His faithfulness to us that releases the angels on our behalf. If it was solely up to God, His provision would be the same for everyone because of His mercy and grace. However, we have to receive God's grace by faith (Eph. 2:cool. As we seek the Lord, become aware of His ministering spirits which were created to minister to us, and speak forth our faith in this area, He will send forth His angels on our behalf.
Christianity EtcOur Daily-devotional The "Old Man" Is Dead 13th November 2019 by Lawrence24(op): 7:38am On Nov 13, 2019
he "old Man" Is Dead
13th November
And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
Mark 14:41
It is not our individual acts of sin that make us a sinner. It is our sin nature that makes us commit individual acts of sin. Adam's one sin produced a sin nature in all men that in turn, caused each person to commit individual acts of sin. Jesus not only dealt with the original sin that contaminated the human race, but He also dealt with each individual act of sin.

Anyone who is trying to obtain righteousness through their actions is totally missing the point. Believers are made righteous through faith in Christ, independent of their actions. It's the same way that everyone was made a sinner: through Adam's one sin, not through our individual sins.

At salvation, our old man (Rom. 6:6) or sin nature died, but the tendency to sin remains in the thoughts and emotions that the old man left behind. No longer does the Christian have a sin nature that compels him to sin, but he must simply deal with renewing his mind.

Sin ruled like a king through condemnation to bring death upon everyone.

Condemnation is like the general of sin that enforces its power. Likewise, God's grace now rules like a king through righteousness to bring all who are in Christ into eternal life. Righteousness is the general of grace who defends us against all the wiles of the devil.

Remove guilt or condemnation and sin loses its strength to rule (1 Cor. 15:56). Remove the knowledge of righteousness by faith, and grace loses its power to release eternal life into our daily lives.
Christianity EtcOur Daily-devotional-walk In The Light-12th November 2019 by Lawrence24(op): 3:40pm On Nov 12, 2019
Walk In The Light

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Matthew 26:41
How do you walk in the Spirit? The way you do this is through living by, conducting your actions according to, and following the leading of the Word of God as quickened to you by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit and the Word of God agree perfectly because the Holy Spirit is the one who inspired the written Word of God.

Denying the flesh will not result in walking in the Spirit. Walking in the Spirit will result in denying the flesh. This may seem like a subtle difference to some, but the difference is truly profound. As a whole, false religions teach that as we overcome our flesh, there is a noticeable increase in the presence and power of God in our lives. That was what the Pharisees of Jesus' day and the legalistic Jews of Paul's day taught. Just the opposite is true. As we experience more of the presence and power of the Spirit of God, then the influence of the flesh is diminished. Victory must come in this order. We don't walk in the Spirit as a result of overcoming the flesh, rather overcoming the flesh is the result of walking in the Spirit.

It's similar to how you fill a dark room with light. You don't shovel out the darkness and then light appears. No! You simply turn on the light and the darkness flees. Much of religion preaches to stop sinning (get rid of the darkness) and then the Holy Spirit will come and empower you (the light will come). That's not the way it works. Man can no more get rid of the power of the flesh on his own than he can get rid of the power of darkness without light. We have to receive the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives by grace and then the union with the Holy Spirit breaks the power of the flesh. The key to breaking the dominion of the flesh is to appropriate the power of the Spirit through faith, while the flesh is still causing us problems. Those who are waiting for the Spirit to manifest after they have subdued the flesh, will wait as long as the man who is trying to get rid of the darkness so the light will appear.

Our Daily-devotional-The Faith To Forgive 5th August
The Faith To Forgive
5th August
And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.
Luke 17:5
It is very interesting to note that the apostles asked Jesus to increase their faith after He spoke of forgiveness. They observed all of the wonderful miracles Jesus performed and yet that never inspired them to ask for greater faith. Truly, walking in love and forgiveness with each other takes as much faith as any miracle we will ever believe for.

The basis of forgiveness is the love and mercy of God. It is only because God first loved and forgave us that we can love and forgive others. If we aren't walking in the forgiveness of God, we won't minister it to others. He forgave us before we repented or asked for forgiveness.

The scriptures admonish us to forgive as Christ has forgiven us. God offered His forgiveness towards us while we were yet sinners. Therefore, forgiveness was offered to all unconditionally. But only those who receive the offered forgiveness through repentance and faith are received as sons of God.

Likewise, we are to forgive others their trespasses, just as God has forgiven us our trespasses. We forgive whether or not the other person repents or wants our forgiveness. But we cannot restore such a person to complete relationship until there is repentance on his part. Failure to distinguish between forgiveness and restoration with their different conditions, has caused some people to make themselves vulnerable to unscrupulous people and suffer tragic results. In marriage, we should forgive our mate for anything, even adultery. But If there is no true repentance on our mate's part, it would be foolish to trust him or her in a sexually tempting situation. We should forgive a business partner for stealing from us whether or not he repents, but that doesn't meanwe ought to put ourselves in a position to let him do it again. Complete restoration is dependent on repentance. Walk in forgiveness today.

And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.
Luke 16:17
The jot was not only one of the smallest letters of the Greek alphabet, but also one of the most insignificant, being sometimes deleted at the writer's pleasure. The tittle was only a mark or a point on a line that helped distinguish one letter from another. The tittle corresponds to our period or apostrophe. The point that Jesus is making is that even the tiniest detail of the law would not pass away.

Christ fulfilled every jot and tittle of the law. The law was ordained to life, but no one could keep it. So, God Himself became flesh. He did what no sinful flesh had ever done. He kept the law thereby winning the life of God as the prize for keeping the law. This granted Him eternal life but before He could give it to us, we still had a debt that had to be paid. This is similar to someone receiving the death penalty for some hideous crime, then some billionaire leaves his whole estate to him. It would do the condemned man no good. But if that same billionaire could somehow take that man's place and die for him, then he could go free and enjoy his new wealth. That's what Jesus did for us. He took our sins and gave us His righteousness.

Jesus did much more than just obtain eternal life for us, He also paid all the wages of our sins (Rom. 6:23). God literally placed the condemnation, or judgment, that was against us upon His own Son. Jesus' perfect flesh was condemned so our defiled flesh could go free. What a trade! Since Jesus bore our sentence (condemnation), we don't have to bear it. The debt has already been paid. Our Daily-devotional-Freed From The Law 1st August
Freed From The Law
1st August
The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
Luke 16:16-17
The Bible teaches that there are different dispensations or divinely ordered ways of God dealing with mankind throughout the ages. A dispensation is simply a period of time in which God deals with mankind in a certain way.

The Old Testament law was only a temporary dispensation and ruled from the giving of the law (Ex. 20) until the ministry of John the Baptist. When Christ came, He put an end to the law for righteousness (Rom. 10:4). Anyone who advocates the keeping of the law for the purpose of right standing with God is going back to an Old Testament system of law that has been abolished and is making the work of Christ void in his life.

The New Testament believer is under the dispensation of God's grace. We are not under the law. That doesn't mean the law has passed away. It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the law to fail. The law hasn't failed. It has been fulfilled (Mt. 5:17). Christ fulfilled every jot and tittle of the law for us and imputes to us that righteousness is not based on our performance but on our faith in Him. The law was never given for the purpose of justification. It was totally powerless to save. It only showed us our need and pointed us to a Savior.

The law was not made for a righteous man and it still serves a purpose for those who are not born again. For those who do not accept Jesus as their Savior, the wrath of God, which the law produces, abides on them. In this present age, Jesus has come not to condemn men but to bring them grace and truth. Those who do not believe on the Son are presently under the wrath of the Old Testament law, and, unless they repent, will suffer the wrath of God eternally. Thank God for His grace today. And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods.
Luke 16:1-18
The unjust steward was covetous. He had not been faithful to his master or to his master's debtors. He had wasted his master's goods on himself. When found out, his self-serving nature considered the options, and decided there had to be a change. He decided to use his lord's money to make friends so that when he was fired he would have someone to help him.

His master was apparently wealthy enough that he didn't take offense at the steward's discounting of the debts owed to him, but rather he commended the steward. He didn't commend his dishonest ways, but he was commending the fact that he had finally used his lord's money to plan for the future instead of wasting it on himself. Although the steward was motivated by what he would ultimately gain, there was prudence in his actions. This was lacking before.

In this sense, the children of this world (lost men) are wiser than the children of light (born again men) because they plan for the temporal future.

Jesus is telling us to use money (the unrighteous mammon) to make to ourselves friends that would receive us into "everlasting" habitations. The use of the word "everlasting" denotes that Jesus is now talking about our eternal future. The people who have been saved and blessed by our investments in the kingdom of God will literally receive us into our everlasting home when we pass on to be with the Lord.

Our material possessions have been given to us by God so that we are actually stewards of His resources. The Lord gave us this wealth to establish His covenant on this earth - not so that we could consume it upon our own lusts. You have been blessed to be a blessing!

All The Wrong Reasons
29th July
And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and entreated him.
Luke 15:25-28
If this elder son had considered his brother, he would have rejoiced at his return even as his father did. Rather, he was totally self-centered (that's pride) and became angry. This illustrates Proverbs 13:10; "only by pride cometh contention."

How can we esteem others better than ourselves when in truth we really think we are better than others? Some people are better athletes than others. Some are better businessmen than others. Some are better speakers than others, and so forth. First, we need to recognize that our accomplishments don't make us better than others. There is a difference between what we do and who we are.

Better performance does not make a better person. A person's character can be severely wanting even though his performance is good. A classic example of this is found in the Pharisees of Jesus' day. They did the right things for all the wrong reasons. Inside they were corrupt. So our evaluation of others needs to change. God judges by looking on the inside, not the outside (1 Sam. 16:7). We need to esteem others on a different basis than what most of us do.

Secondly, to esteem someone better than ourselves simply means to value them more than we value ourselves. To some that may seem impossible, but it isn't.

It is exactly what Jesus did. If Jesus, who was God in the flesh (1 Tim. 3:16), could humble Himself and value our good above His own welfare, then we should certainly be able to do the same. It can happen when we die to self and live to God. Andrew Wommack
