Wow! What a pleasant surprise ? the workers in that state are really lucky to have a governor who is so concerned about them. Other governors should learn from this man and stop owing workers for 3 to 7 or 9 months. In the midst the economic challenges, the governor, Prof. Ben Ayade has been paying salaries regularly and early enough. To me, this is the best Governor of the year. |
Wow! what a pleasant surprise for the workers in that state? i wish those Governors who are owing their workers for so many months claiming that there is no money, will learn from this governor. Infact i am giving him award as best governor of the year. |
heaven55:The Governor of Cross Rivers state, Prof Ben Ayade, is a good leader, despite the low allocation for his state he is always concerned with making workers happy by regularly paying salaries early. The people of Cross Rivers are lucky to have him as a governor. It is true as the bible said that when the righteous rule, the people rejoice. |
Corrupt Nigerian leaders are not ready to resign and face their corruption charges, even on gun point, they won't resign. |
wasting money, when his state has not paid salaries since February |
the immediate past administration is better in terms of civil servants' salary payment, now the workers now pray and begged the government to pay them. it is too early for the state government to be treating workers this way. Our leaders are not concerned about us, when they need our vote, they will come and tell us how they're good and the other person is bad, all the blah blah blah... and those who have not satisfied their need for belongingness(Maslow’s hierarchy of need), will jump into believing and supporting without critical evaluation. Same thing is applied to the labour unions, especial NUT, what they do is to collect monthly union dues from salaries and share, not to speak of any ill-treatment of it's members. On the individual level, sentiment and party affiliation has clouded our reasoning, ...... Let me ask, between your monthly salary and the N2,000 they shared to you after a political gathering(which is very rear), which one is more important? |
Is it how this present government (state government) intend to treat civil servants ? In times like this one is forced to make comparison between the past administration and this present one. |
these irregularities in salary payment. This administration hmmmmm... The concern of every civil servant is payment of salaries as at when due, any administration that fails its duty to pay salaries as at when due is not a good one. |
hmmmmmmm after working for the month. fasting and prayers for government to pay you what you have worked for. This style of payment is poor. |
Please post any news concerning Rivers state here: |
With the way politics is practiced in Nigeria, can a true Christian excel in Nigerian politics without compromising his/her faith? |
I believe that we can use this platform to give different opinions/advice that will help improve our economy, therefore, your opinions/advice are welcomed. |
bigiyaro:ok but will that be all? |
Our economy needs serious prayers, regardless of political affiliation let us all unite and pray for our economy, we all are affected directly or indirectly. Let's stop blaming one another, this country belongs to all of us, if the country is good then is good for us all. Therefore, we should pray for our economy and contribute ideas that will improve the economy instead of looking for who to blame. |
Please anyone with useful information about local government council organogram or administrative structure should please post as it will really help me in a presentation i have to make. Your post will highly be appreciated. |
This Ben Murray-Bruce Self, always trying to impress people and advertise himself with his COMMON SENSE SLOGAN, he is a senator, how many motions has he raised in the Senate to better the life of the common people and Nigeria as he has always advertise on radio and television? inviting people to visit his website to create traffic for him. Stop deceiving Nigerians that you are different, you are not. |
to pass some police checkpoint you have to pay, or they will look for a fault and threaten to arrest you or delay your movement. checkpoint are now revenue generating points for police officers. |
princemillla:hmmmm the target of most police men on road checkpoint is to make money. |
Road users, what are your experience about bribery and police checkpoint? |
funky555:Yes, the work free day declared by the state government still holds |
The Nigerian political arena is overcrowded with people with different interest and motives/reasons. Some of the reasons why some people go into are not for the collective good of the people but based personal reasons. Some of wrong reasons why some people go into politics are: 1. Popularity : many people are into politics because of gaining popularity, to always be part of the headline news, the talk of day, ... this category of persons do everything to remain popular. 2. Unemployment and under-employment : this is one of the reasons to why some unemployed youth(graduates) are into politics, this category of persons go into politics with the hope of getting the right connection that will lead them to the job of their dream. Those who are under-employed go into politics for same reasons, though some see politics as an avenue to generate money to support their salaries. 3. Poverty : many people are into politics for economic survival, this category of persons are the ones mostly paid and used for political rallies, protest and other political gathering that requires crowd. 4. Failure in Chosen Professional Career: Politics is now an umbrella body for many people who have failed or cannot practice their professional careers. Some of the people who are frustrated by their wrong career choices(those who do not find joy in practicing what they studied) find politics as a cover for their frustration. There are many lawyers who cannot win a case, engineers who can practice their field, ..... all this category of people see as their home. 5. Greed/the desire to get rich overnight: many people see politics as a means of getting rich overnight through corrupt practices like diversion of public funds, embezzlement, .... 6. Promotion: this category of persons are mostly civil servants who believe that with politics and their man in government power, they would be promoted to leadership position in their offices. 7. Intimidating influence : You are free to add your own. |
The smartness of lady is foolishness unto a man. |
firstking01:You are right |
Getting more international recognitions, that's good. Congratulations Rt Hon. C. R. Amaechi. |
Obioraaa:they're used to mean same. |
hmmmmm |
STFUareyouGod:if you look at the dictionary meaning, lover(s) is a sexual partner outside marriage. Now what does the bible say about sex outside marriage ? |
STFUareyouGod:hmmmm is lovers' day not love day. i love you doesn't mean i am your lover. |
The Oxford Advanced Learners' dictionary defined lover as a partner in a sexual relationship outside marriage. (2) Lovers(plural), two people who are in love or having a sexual relationship outside marriage. Having considered the meaning of lover(s), should the church or christians celebrate LOVERS' DAY? Is it not a way of celebrating sin? |

i do not know whether other people saw this "His Needs Advice, His Parents Want Him To Resign His Job" as the title/subject as it appears on the homepage/FrontPage. The correct title should be: HE Needs Advice, His Parents Want Him To Resign His Job. Not His Needs Advice, His Parents Want Him To Resign His Job |
