@OP, you can say all you want but you are chosing Ghana over Nigeria as a place of residence right now, where is your own solidarity/loyalty to Nigeria then?. I know ordinarily they wouldn't support us, but I believe wholeheartedly that if we were the only African team to get through Ghana and every other Black nationality would be behind us. I know what you are getting at also, but this is not the time for all that.

They deserve our support in this. I want them to get to the final!!!! Up Black Stars!!!!

My brother when a young lad with high hopes and aspirations finishes secondary school at 18 years of age and gets into the university immediately to study a four year course but ends up spending about 6 years and wants to go futher with his studies will you advice him to still school in Naija, i tell you Ghana was the last place i wanted to come to but when Oyinbo deny me Visa for no just reason except that i applied during the height of the Muttallab attempted bombing i come look say make i come my fellow AFRICAN  nation where standard of education is better, but you wont belive i suffer rasist abuses from my supposed fellow black man, Mike Adenuga sef hear am for here he had to close shop and vamose, bros all man for himself o Ghana people no send us at all, thats why every country as its own passport.cheers

dont be myopic, yes it is ghanaians who are playing but they r not playing only for Ghana but for Africa. if Ghana get kncked out the papers will not run the headline "ghana fail to get past quater finals" but rather they would say " african teams continue to miss out on semi final spot". this is history being witten for africa and it does not matter who happens to be the instrument of fate. i celebrate with Ghana because African pride is still intact thanks to them.
my brother whose national anthem is played before the match? Nigeria's? hell no, Ghana's? hell yeah,

Nigerians are not Jealous people (jealousy is very bad  karma) this is why we Nigerians will always lead the way in Africa. The poster seems to be a Ghanaian from Ghana Accra and, perhaps, understandably  he/she wants the world to recognize Ghana's achievement and not have it overlooked under the guise of Africa. There is also a chance that the poster is a mischief maker who is a little miffed that Nigerians are  showing the world that we are quite happy for Ghana to succeed unlike Ghanaians who are quite happy for Nigerians to fail.

As for the world cup i believe that Honduras is quite beatable there is no reason why Ghana cant beat them and progress to the next round.

Good luck with that one.

My guy na bad belle be this o! I do understand that there is always a certain hostile attitude towards Nigerians but from my experiences in life i've hardly seen a Nigerian repay prejudice in kind. Thats what makes us  Nigerian u know . We will support Ghana and castigate our OWN team for not playing well and my brother it is not out of lack of patriotism. Its because we love the chickens so much that we diss them so. cheesy
Haba no be bad belle o, i insist that i am happy for them but i aint celebrating them id rather it was naija there, being happy and celebrating are two different things, but i really like and appreciate your point of view very matured and makes tons of sense, ciao

But when it comes to a sport of this kind, i always find out that in most cases these grieviences are being placed aside. If only one can understand what the non Africans plans is for Africa, only then we can also learn how to get ourselves together and be strong.

Dude thats not true the Ghanaians will celebrate a Nigerian victory anytime any day. I watched that match with different ppl from over 9 countries, and they fevered with the Ghanians.
I live in Ghana bro so i have first hand knowledge of what i am talking about, check out what they did to Mike Adenuga and Globacom telecommunications, so unfair, i once had a nasty experience when i wanted to get an apartment went to bout 4 places and the landlords refused to rent out to for just one reason, cos am Nigerian.
SportsRe: Nigerians Wake Up We Are Nigerians Not Ghanaians by leboss6(op): 10:07am On Jun 27, 2010
i do not have anything against Ghana, and it might interest you guys to know that i live in Accra and i know that Ghanians will never celebrate a Nigerian win, i never said i hated them or that i am jealous of there progress of course am not, it is good to rejoice with others when they succeed ,but that is where it should stop, when people now decide to renounce there nationality just because our team flopped and Ghana's triumphed then i have a problem with that, Where lies the rivalry, an Argentine will never celebrate a Brazilian win ,neither will the English celebrate a German win, in football there is nothing like dual nationality, i am happy for them but there is no way am celebrating there victory, i rest my case.PROUDLY NAIJA

Bros please look before you leap that kind of woman can turn you to a wife beater and stir up domestic violence if you eventually marry her, if she cannot give you the benefit of the doubt over such trivial issues I bet she's not your woman, this is because many wives believe their husbands "not because he's saying the truth" but because they trust them no matter what.I'm married and can tell you this is no good sign at all.
wow that is another perspective o, turn me to a woman beater ouch thats something i have vowed i will never do cos i grew up with the knowledge of my pops battering my mum and though they are divorced she still uses recommended glasses caused by incessant blows and i vowed that ill never be anything close to the beasts my pop was,i still hold that against him till today, but you are really spot on cos my girlfriend trully does things that i know other guys wont hesitate giving her a bashing but when she starts i just walk away, but for how long will one do that, thanks for the advice, highly appreciated

No it is not, but do you know that if Ghana wins that Trophy(with there doggedness and team spirit i dare not write them off) The only name that will be etched on the trophy and record books will be GHANA not Nigerian and not Africa, the people that will receive medals and lift the trophy will be Ghanaian's and the trophy will be paraded on the streets of Accra not Lagos. we really need to get our acts right.

yeah love thy neighbor as you love yourself, but in football there should not be divided loyalty, my guy you need to see what people are posting on facebook, some say they wanna change there nationality, some say they have changed there names to koffi, mensah, essien and the likes can you imagine, whether we like it or not they are our rivals on the field of play, if we were to play them say in the quarters had we qualified were will your loyalty lie?

To all those celebrating Ghana's victory you all should cover your faces with shame, what our country of 150 million could not do a tiny country of just bout 20 million has done, Ain't nothing like United states of Africa, we have NIGERIANS and GHANANIANS, the victory's belongs to Ghanaians only they worked for it and they deserve it we should stop clinching , Chikena

topup:
It depends on the environment the person stays and what words and behavioural patterns they assimilate.

Who knows maybe it's a throw away word to her, the gravity of which you felt because to you it's the highest of highest of insults.

I'm not excusing her behaviour, I think she shows signs of a woman that can get extremely irrational when she is under emotional pressure or is confused, this is not a settling characteristic - to know a person could explode on you.

Ask her, "What if something worse happened, would she harm you?"

"What if we got married, would you divorce me there and then?"

These are the images I get, of her irrational behaviour.

For now, make it clear that those words are lethal and should not be uttered - I am assuming that you don't verbally abuse her either - then watch her, watch her general tolerance for anger and situations, and really try and observe her trust for you.

2 things I thought when I read your post:

- She is fiery but not in the good way - explosive and irrational when angry.
- She does not have an inbuilt trust, which gives you the benefit of the doubt - knowing you wouldn't do such a thing to her, or at least trying her best to believe it.
Thanks a mill for your observations and advice i sure have learnt somethings from you, points well taken.

I don't understand how FB deactivated your account though. That doesn't make sense.
You cant be more surprised than i was cos i still made use of the account about 4am that day and woke around 7am tried to log in but for where, i lost over 700 friends and more importantly over 400 pictures that i had stored no where else, that's a mistake i will never make again, i sent an e-mail to the FB team and they said i uploaded a picture with nude content, but to be honest that picture was not that bad as i have seen worse pictures uploaded on FB,i guess someone reported me and that was it.

Wow, She acted rather in an immature way, however, that is not enough to throw a relationship you built up away. I think you should forgive her but keep on a very short leash and watch her very carefully from now on.

The way to know if your potential wifey is good wife material is to watch the way she treat others she consider below her, e.g waiters, cooks, gate-men etc. That will help you judge her real character. If she show no respect to folks like that, then you know she is not reveling to you who she really is, then you can make your decision.

Goodluck.
Thanks a bunch for the advice, point well taken, you really seem to be schooled in matters of the heart cos you have brought a whole new perspective to my predicament now i have to really think deep and make a decision, God help me, thanks again

No i did not tell her cos i opened the new profile immediately the old one was deactivated but she was the first one i added,
no we don't live in the same state, what amazed me was that we did not have any outstanding issues and i still sent her a message late night which she replied ending it with the traditional "i love you", i also wondered why i would delete someone and then add the person back all under 8 hours, i guess she was to quick to judge, she just called me now and said "why are you acting like a baby"
