She was probably getting abused or mistreated and has now found the perfect way to escape. I dont see how somebody with this level of aggression was an angel of a spouse.

What you are experiencing is your intuition telling you that there are huge red flags that should not be taken lightly.

Do not ignore. Most of the times in bad relationships looking back we can always admit seeing red flags but proceeded anyway.

Red flags that you have seen yourself

1. In a rush to be married despite your current status (Desperation)
2. Hiding important detail (Dishonesty which will lead to future trust issues)
3. Failed marriage in a very short period of time(why?

Another thing to consider...
What will you do do if for some unfortunate reason your plans for ivf do not work? Will you then regret your decision?

Honestly I really felt sorry for him seeing how he succumbed. Seems it's an issue of self confidence.
Albeit never been to the US, but most of what he opined were in line with reasonable logic, even to a novice.
@neurosci, always stand your ground on issues, especially when it has to do with issues you may have strong convictions about

He deleted it not bc of a lack of confidence but mostly of anger, which was justified. The problem with most of these travel threads is one person who has been in the US for all of 5 min is now expert on all US matters. Someone who has a different perspective, experience or other vantage point is wrong or in this case a clown.

But for the record he was right.
1.There are scholarships and grants available by specific major, especially those where there is a growing need.
2. Scholarships based on merit, i.e. gpa.
3. Minority scholarships especially for women and/ or in areas like STEM.
4. Depending on your place of employment, they will pay for your education.
5. If you belong to certain organizations such as sororities/fraternities, or professional organizations for example accountants
6. Scholarships/grants based on need sometimes dependent on state,
For instance if you are a single parent there are grants for them.

BUT you have to be aware of deadlines to apply, some require you to write essays, others belong to an organization.
The money is out there, but there are other applicants so perseverance and diligence are key.

Awhile back there was a database that I frequented that listed in real time alot of scholarships available.
Dont know it now.

Romance / Re: Tips For Dating An African American (akata) Woman by Leeindy: 8:33pm On May 08, 2020
If all you attract is trash women, it says more about you, than them.
Either you dont know how to find the decent ones because of your social circle or you keep getting fooled by a big butt and smile.

Whenever my friends talk about this, i ask them 3 questions, how did you meet, what do they do for fun, or hobbies, how were they dressed, act like??

Answers go like this...Tinder/Pof, club; man she has a nice A#$$, etc. And my finds are newly immigrants so they live in the not so nice areas and work entry level jobs.

I tell them that anybody that has well traveled on black American circles know that the better ones are in church heavily, are heavily involved in minority organizations like black sororities, black professional organizations, and are into other stuff. If you go to a predominantly black american church, the differences of the people are night and day, lots of married families, they give back to their commities, etc. The problem is that i see very few Africans in these environments, so you dont know what you dont see.

Do you see where i am going with this? Its mostly due to your circle.
Change your circle, better results
BUT to get to these caliber of women, you are now competing with their own men and other ethnicities, so now you will then you run into the women op has described.
