Politics › Re: Workers’ Day: FG Pledges Commitment To Workers’ Welfare by LegDoLand: 10:20am On May 01, 2018 |
edunwablog: “This is as evident in the fact that no Federal civil or public servant has lost his or her job in the last three years of the administration despite the economic downturn.
“This is as well as the ongoing effort to give effect to a new national minimum wage easily bear out Federal Government’s commitment to the upliftment of the workforce.
http://www.akelicious.net/2018/05/workers-day-fg-pledges-commitment-to.html Yes, despite the economic downturn no public servant has lost his/her job, but many are being owed and the minimum wage has still remained the same, but there are flagrant display of looting and sharp practices amongst those in the higher echelon of which the President is not exempted. Until the minimum wage is reviewed and public sevants have more purchasing power, then we will celebrate Workers Day - LegDoLand...give your feet a treat

Education › Re: I Regret Ever Reading Political And Administrative Studies At The UNIPORT. by LegDoLand: 10:10am On May 01, 2018 |
Paulloveiheoma: TBH with everyone reading this post, I'll forever regret ever reading POL/ADM STUDIES at the university of port Harcourt. I just wasted 4 years for nothing, coupled with all the school fees I paid. I have no issue with the school itself, even though sometimes, the Vice Chancellor tends to misbehave by implementing unfavourable & devilish policies (UNIPORT students can testify to this), but you see the department, heaven alone knows what name I should give it.
A department that doesn't give students what they deserve & unnecessarily punish them for no good reason. I can boldly say anyday, anytime that the academic & non-academic staffs of the department of political & administrative students are beasts in human disguise.
I know that it's a norm for lecturers to be extremely strict & hard on students in tertiary institutions, but dear, that of POL/ADM studies in UNIPORT is beyond wickedness.
A department where the lecturers would boldly tell you to your face that since they didn't graduate with first class, then it's highly impossible for them to give it to you. I can mention all their names but let me just respect myself.
If you think I'm doing this for attention, then kindly ask anyone you know that has ever studied POL/ADM at UNIPORT, if the person gives you a reply contradicting what I just wrote here, feel free to come back & QUOTE ME, lay a curse on Me & also call me a BLOOD LIAR!!!
God knows I am telling y'all the truth cause I almost risked my life trying to get the best grades in a non-deserving department.
Feel free to say what you want to about Me, but I'll say this; IF I HAD READ A DIFFERENT COURSE, I WOULD HAVE GRADUATED WITH A 1st CLASS. My course mates who are close to Me can bear witness.
In pidgin; no bi me sabi something pass sha, but at least, I follow for those wey dey try in terms of academic performance. I can go on & all to give 1001 reasons why the department is a den of evil & heartless staffs but let me stop here.
"In SUMMARY, I AM BEGGING NAIRALANDERS & GUESTS IN THE NAME OF GOD, PLEASE & PLEASE, DO NOT EVER ALLOW ANYONE CLOSE TO YOU OR ANYBODY THAT YOU LOVE TO GO & READ POLITICAL & ADMINISTRATIVE STUDIES AT THE UNIVERSITY OF PORT HARCOURT. IF AFTER READING THIS POST & YOU DO SO, THEN YOU'RE NO DIFFERENT FROM THE DEVIL".
(May God Almighty help us all & never allow us to make decisions in life that we would end up regretting; AMEN!!!) Well, all i see here is an alibi, a reference point, an excuse, a reason for you not to have made a first class, or at least being the best you could have been. First, you should understand that a First Class grade is a aggregation of all the grade points you made from 1st year to final year, and not dependent on just one lecturer or a few lecturers. Let us do a little throwback: In your first year, you did general courses which were taught to you by lecturers from different departments and even faculties. Now, judging by your conclusion of your departmental lecturers being the most wicked in your school who will never give you what you deserve, you should have started bagging your As from your first year. Even in your second year when your specialization increased, you at least had 20-30% courses taught by non-departmental lecturers. That was also an opportunity to make your As Let us excuse your third and final years under the assumption that you were taught entirely by lecturers in your department. Even at that, if you had done excellently and are deserving of an A, the worst they would do would be to give you a B, which i am sure wont have significant effect in your CGP if you had maintained an excellent record in your first and second year. A first class will still have been possible. Secondly, you should understand that the traits your lecturers exhibit are not specific to them alone. Nigerian universities are riddled with a lot of them. So, its a general issue. Finally, my main point is, dont be obsessed with making a first class. It is not entirely an indication of being a brilliant student/graduate. I recently helped a "first class graduate" write an application for Masters admission and left me wondering. Your main concern should be to be the best you can be and not the definition of a certificate score. - LegDoLand...give your feet a treat.

Kspicz: Outcess is inviting me for a customer service representative job role at their lekki office, they are asking me to research on Cable TV and TV content. I just keep wondering if there is room from growth their especially with this 45k salary which is about half of my current salary. I really require an Hr trainee job to put into practice all i learn at CIPM classes. However with my training in CRM and Entrepreneurship and biz management from NIM and LBS respectively, isn't a 45k salary a far cry. I could take it if there is room for growth if not i dont know if its a wise decision. Please help out guys, the interview is for tomorrow. Thanks From the certifications you listed above, i can deduce that u have spent so much in equipping yourself to be better positioned and u need to recoup those investments. i honestly wont advise you to take that job. It will amount to settling for far less, especially considering that you have a job at the moment. Be patient. Keep seeking. You will get something g better soonest. All the best |
Food › Re: Made In Nigeria Rice Floods Shoprite by LegDoLand: 6:28pm On Apr 22, 2018 |
This is a welcomed development.
However, it is more expensive than the imported ones - an indication of production costs that are higher than the cost of importing.
The government should partner with these companies and farmers, especially, with the aim of cutting these costs to attract people to buy it.
IMO, locally produced rice should be at least 20% lesser in price compared to the imported ones, before people will be prepared to sacrifice their taste for imported ones |

Chika obviously lies a lot.
She came from a background that was so impoverished that she had to hawk for sustenance...but then she went to one of the best secondary schools at the time in Imo state and went on to attend a top 15 college in Switzerland.
Where did the money come from?
As for the hair, even she sef know sey she dey lie.

sweetrace: That's okay by me. I have never campaigned do Buhari. I don't think he has the capacity the rule this country. However what he said about the youth is the plain truth. Let's stop being sentimental. When you accept that there's a problem only then can you seek a solution. I have read your submissions all along and all i can say is that your assertions are very wrong and biased. You speak only from the social media handle. Why not take a walk to tje nearest market and see our youths hustling. Go to the factories and see youths hustling. Even in the traffic gridlocks, under harsh weather conditions, our youths have not relented in the hustles. Right now, i have a handful of youths in my church pleading that i should help them search for something to keep busy. Even talking about Social Media perspective upon which you have hinged your views, some of those "instakings and instaqueens" actually sell something (legit product/service and not their bodies). I have a dozen of them on my facebook friendlist who are into make-up venture or sell related kits and fashion items, alongside their slaying career. |

laudate: Of course, people will read his biography. If not for amusement, they will certainly read it for his spin on the illogical events that took place, while he was in power. IBB had a golden chance to write his name in gold, in the portals of history. But he squandered it, carelessly by making the worst decision of his entire life. Till today, IBB and his cohorts have never said the whole truth about that annulment, neither have they given us the honest reasons, for the grand deception they foisted on Nigerians, by annulling that 1993 election. Nigerian citizens have been fed a lot of lies, half-truth, propaganda, slogans etc in a bid to cover up the real issue.
If IBB can tell the truth, and nothing but the truth, about that whole unsavoury episode, then he would have done a great service to this country and those who believe in its' people. IBB should not forget - there is nothing that can be hidden forever. If he takes the secret about that election to his grave, posterity would judge him harshly! According to him, he wanted his regime to be the last coup-ushered regime, hence he was worried that if he installed a new democratic government, it would be toppled over by another set of coup-plotters |

IBB will go down as one of the most biased and selfish leaders Nigeria ever had. He doesnt even need to write any biography of himself. History has it already and the coming generations will read it. |
