itetemi: na this toys a whole president dey commission.do these resemble warships.pls use google to know what warships are.
see pictures of 4 out of the 430 united states navy warships What do you know? Pictures you posted are of Submarine, a carrier and a destroyer. You just posted 2 different views of the destroyer so what you actually have is 3 different war ships. As for our war ships, they are frigate class vessels and are very efficient in maneuverability. The U.S. and most navies in the world have quite a number of frigate class war ships too. |

Politics › Re: Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna Picture Thread by Legendoscar2: 10:14pm On Feb 17, 2015 |
naijaking1: Just like the NYSC, the intention to establish the NDA was good, but the practices have made a mess of everything. One retired officer, a Lt. Col I met recently said that the army has lost its way in Nigeria beginning from the admission practices at NDA. Because of quota system, you have some with a score of 490 out of say 500 from Anambra, Imo, Delta, or Oyo sitting in the same classroom with someone who scored 20 or 30 out of 500 from Katsine, Zamfara, or Kano. Or worse still, someone who had successfully bribed his way into the class room could be your class mate. My friend made another good point: once you're admitted through corruption and compromise of the scores, you always remain corrupt, and cheat your way till retirement! Only in Nigeria. Compared to other national defense academies established about the same time in other nations like India, Brazil, and Malaysia, our NDA is a sorry sight. Sadly It's always been like that....the quota system, that's how come Buhari could gain admission without a proper waec certificate while his mates from other regions were making grades 1 and 2. You can see MOST of the boys in those group pictures look mostly Northern. Other than that the only consideration that you will find is those boys from Military School(NMS), Zaria. May be things have changed so much since my time there as a 41st regular course graduate but I doubt if you will find the sort of thing you described up there as the norm. Your last comment that the NDA is a sorry sight is out of ignorance. You've year in and year out an academy that updates itself and trains some of the best military formations not just in Nigeria but within the sub region as well.....research a little more my friend. The op has been doing a good job so let's enjoy this rare images |

Spurs's been knocking and knocking in this half but I think Arsenal Goal keeper and one of the defenders have done well to keep the score line at 1-1 |

Family › Re: Concern As More Us-based Nigerians Murder Their Spouses by Legendoscar2: 9:56pm On Feb 03, 2015 |
mutter: When you have nothing to live for, then you have everything to die for!
The fact that it keeps happening shows that the men are not all suddenly going mad.
A man that had worked so hard brought his much younger wife here to Germany, when they come to church the wife was so rude to the man, perhaps because she was better educated. I quickly grabbed hold of her and drew her aside. I warned her that her husband was respected in this community and if she ever tried it again where I was I would shred her to bits. Foolish girl!
These greedy bitches accept a man they do not love and are ashamed of just to get out of Nigeria and then they want to ruin the man. Do you know that these men have worked so hard for so many years! Received all kinds of insults from society and then you bring this young girl and she gives you the final insult to let you know you are = 0. How many of them come here with nothing and soon the man is out of his own home on the streets and having to pay maintenance. When the study in America, they are able to do so because the man brought them there. Nursing is not even a good paying job, like any menial job you can gather money if you work enough hours. While they are at work they cannot perform as wife`s so of what use is the work if it does not benefit the family?
No matter how educated or how much money they have a woman must humble herself and treat her husband with the utmost respect in all situations. That is not just good for the man but also for the children. The children are raised in an environment where the learn respect and manners. That is what you get when a man that has struggled for years gets dragged into the mud in his own home. A man that has struggled and faced discrimination and abuse outside. Treat him like a king at home so that he can feel like the man he is, that will give him the strength to keep struggling. Instead these women get rude, function like they don`t have a family, neglect the welfare of their husbands and homes and go running after the dollars. You uttered and I could not mutter but when I tried to stutter I saw you were better....because your thoughts has manners. Well done Ma'am you are way above many young ladies I know on Nairaland. No man has the moral justification to murder a sole but in those words of yours above lies the reason behind most of those sickening murders. I hope more people read this. |
