EducationRe: Most Overrated Courses In Nigerian Universities by lekside05(m): 6:29pm On Oct 03, 2014
Lero15: yes, but political science as a core course shd be good to go for administration & political offices. It is an overrated course.
this is a mistake many ppl use to make. being a political scientist does make u a politician. their is politics as an art and academic feild of study.. u are right that if pol scientist assume pol office things will b better especially in the formulation of foreign policy. but our system of government give room for anybody to participate in politics which streanlined the chances of pol scientist to contest for electoral post. also note that political science is a mother of int'l relations, public admin and local govt studies. A political scientist can do there work.

vemelike: Please Op I've just been admited to study 'education an pol.sc.' in the university of Port harcourt. I'll be graduating with double honours, Bsc (ed), pol.sc. ..am greatful to God almighty. they said it's hectic than pure pol.sc. bkos of the double honours, is it? and what and what do i hav 2 face?
its not as diffulcty as dat, the only difference, u will do almost all the courses offered by pol sc student and some educational courses, which makes u to have much work load dan pol major student... All u need to face is ur study, i mean u shud face it squarely and make sure u dont neglect Gods factor, which is very important.. Pol sc is not like some courses in which u can cram and av an A, u need to understand what u ar reading verywell, so as for u to be able to apply it tp various issues, most question ar not direct but applied question.. Dats why u av to understand what are taught and read verywell. Congratulation for ur admission.

its quite obvious that their has been a kind of arguments among this universities as regards, which one is the best.. According to my own observation, this argument as always been based on bias, due to the fact that, student and alumni of these university will like to rate his or her own school above any other..
FOR THIS REASON, THIS THREAD WILL BE OPEN FOR COMMENTS FROM WHO ARE NOT ALUMNI OR STUDENT OF THESE 3 INSTITUTIONS. IT MAY BE THAT YOU HAVE BEEN TO THE SCHOOL OR YOU HAVE RELATIONSHIP WITH EITHER THE ALUMNI OR STUDENT OF THESE SCHL AND BASE ON THAT YOU CAN RANK THEM...
1st ranked wil get 3 points
2nd ranked wil get 2 point
3rd ranked wil get 1 point... After which we will now accumulate the point for each..
Pls make sure you are NOT STUDENT OR ALUMNI of these 3 schls..
