Good morning all.
@humility33 and @maidaboi.. since everyone is d'accord with the results, we will proceed with the awards. But, the sharing formula will be :

1. The 2 winners take 70k each.
2. The second takes 45k.
3. Then, 15k for ur data with maidaboi..

The sharing will be done by for a conclusive process.
Please, send ur account détails.

Thanks.

humility33:

Thank you so much brother

Both monikers tied on 8 votes can get 75k each

While the other person that follow will get 50k. I think that's fair enough. For the transfer I will advise you fund it directly yourself or u can send I to me if you insist. But u can do it yourself and u don't have to use your account number if you want to stay anonymous

Good evening all and great job @humility and maidaboi. You guys did a great job and congratulations to all the nominees. Majority of the monikers here were nominated, showing that almost all the guys here are good and detribalized Nigerians. If we can spread this same spirit in our various surroundings, l believe our country will be great again because nothing kills a nation than tribalism, ethnicity and nepotism.

@Humility33 and maidaboi, l have few questions for you lf you don't mind please !

1. We agreed to share the prize ( 200k) amongst the top three nominees right ? With 2 monikers having same nominations, what will be the sharing formula now ?

2. If You decide on the above, please provide an account number where the money will be paid into for the sharing.

Once again, thanks.

Sequel to our discussion here on the awards to the most detribalized Nigerians on this football thread, l would like to inform us that the price is now 200k and not 150k as intitially proposed. This is to enable every winner to atleast have something tangible given the galloping inflation in our country.
Thus, l am calling on @ TheSuperNerd,Charlesemeka, humility33, Chriskels, Majoribanks..etc and all those actively involved then on the discussions to expedite action and give us the 3 nominees as the thread decided.
Or, better still, provide an account number for me to transfer the money asap, because we are entering the Ember months and we all know how it happens with expenses.
Thanks

OK..l await the results then.

Thank you.

TheSuperNerd:
Good. Then keep it that way. You are generous enough to bring out such sum.

150k for the prize winners only. 75-50-25 in that order for the top 3.

I don't think money should be given out for data. During the NNFF awards, money was never given by anyone and to anyone for data to compile results. I would not want a situation where people want to be on the committee because of 20k for data.

Let them be those who just want to do it for the sake of it.

Thank you.

Sports / Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by lelion: 7:33pm On Aug 13
@ TheSuperNerd, the total budget for this year award is 150.... the house should agree on the sharing formula for the 3 nominees and the compilation committee.

[.quote author=TheSuperNerd post=131490559]Alright. Thank you. Top 3 is great. 75-50-25.

But what exactly is your budget? Coz I didn't even take the data thing into consideration.

You are setting aside 190k for this? 150k for the Top 3 and 20k each to the 2 man committee?

Is that it? The money is your call so think carefully.

Another suggestion:
Please anyone dropping nominations should kindly leave "#Lelion" at the bottom of that post to make the compilation easier for the 2 person committee.

My own Nominations for the award would be:
- Joebie
- TheGoodJoe
- AndrewBaba44

#Lelion

(Trust me guys. It was a hard pick. Several names left out).

For the 2 man committee, I nominate Charlesemeka85 (always active... infact. Na him dey keep the torch burning in my absences) and Maidaboi.

These two will make a fantastic combo for the committee.

I already saw Danielnino00's comment so no need nominating him. He was my first choice actually.

@thanks very much @TheSuperNerd, this your suggestion is great. You are one of the great people pushing this thread forward.
I leave it to you people to decide and workout the best ways to go about it. The thread should decide on the 3 nominees and provide an account to me to transfer the money even tomorrow.
I also buy the idea of 20k, to buy data for those doing the compilation.
NB. It will be an annual award but might not be the same subject matter. Next year might be '' the most detribalized and well-behaved" monikers... For instance, someone like @theGoodjoe ( bluefont warrior), never gets angry or insultive irrespective of the provocations.

Like l said, whatever the thread decides, we go with it and the award is available even now.

TheSuperNerd:
Greetings Lelion. I have done my due diligence since the first day you created this post and I see you have threads of such in a few other sections. I only waited to see how the thread will receive it before I say anything.

Well, welcome. It's a nice initiative but why not make it a Top 3 thing?

Most nominated to get 75k, 2nd most nominated to get 50k and third most nominated to get 25k.
It is still within the 150k budget.

Making it a winner-takes-all sounds a little off to me.

But hey, it's your money. You choose what you do with it. But I am putting forward this suggestion for the thread's sake because I know we have a couple of nice individuals in here who see way beyond tribal lines and nepotism.

This is why it is hard for me to drop just one name

Kindly consider making it a top 3 thing. In the end, it is your cash reward. I would love to see your response to this suggestion.

Once again, welcome and my big hi to the notorious silent readers' association of this thread.

Thank you bro for supporting the initiative.
Even if you believe no one is truly detribalized in real life, we here can work towards creating detribalized Nigerians. Nothing is impossible.

semid4lyfe:

Hmm, I believe we are all subjectively biased and no one is truly detribalized (in real life) but I commend and support your initiative to stem it in this thread by incentivizing people to post without recourse to tribal sentiments and innuendos.

Thank you my brother. Whatever the house agree on, l am ok with it. Some people do not realize that over 80% of our problems in Nigeria are caused by tribalism, nepotism, religious Intolerance and lack of love.
We have great people in every sector of life who can make our country great, but the above mentioned points always make us go for the wrong guys which has render our Nigerian space comatose.

Again, people should realize that l am not doing any giveaway here because almost all the guys here are very succesful in their various fields. Rather, l noticed that once in awhile, some few people try to bring tribalism here which Can destroy this our beautiful football space. So, it is my own little way to control tribalism here. I believe, if all of us here should be preaching " NO TO TRIBALISM" in our various communities and space, we will make Nigeria a better place in our own little ways.
For those who followed or read about the Rwanda génocide of the Hutus and tutsis, you we understand at what scale tribalism is bad and no country develops with such.

humility33:

I love what you're doing most especially in the area of promoting non-tribalism in football and politics. It is very necessary because the foremost thing that has militate against Nigerians progress is not corruption per se it is tribalism and religion fanactism.

I will gladly work with you not as a beneficiary but as one of those that will assist in picking the beneficiaries.

If the money can be split please into like 2 or 3 so that more people can benefit. It will go a long way. Just a suggestion Brother

Thanks

No I won't be disposed but not to worry. There is no rush because we have capable hands who have contributed immensely to the growth of this thread without causing troubles. Mrs Humility, Maidaboi, Danielnino and TheSupernerd(if him go get chance) are the best people for the job. Danielnino especially has handled such matters before during our annual awards. Out of these four and other members who have been consistent for years, we can get someone to do the job.

If they reject it, then we can consider any of these new monikers flying around since this offer was made, but that will be after much scrutiny. [/quote]

OK then. Any of the above mentioned monikers should please help us if they have chance.

My brother, your false comment is exactly why Nigeria is where it is today. You do not go around slandering people without ample evidence. That you have not seen my comments here does not mean l don't comment or follow.
1. During u20, wafu zone B qualifiers 2 years ago in Niamey, l was updating this thread with happenings on the flying eagles camp. When our striker ( Ahmed) collapsed and was rushed to the hospital, l was the person who informed this thread on his condition in the hospital.
2. That you do not know me does not mean others don't know me. People like safarigirl know me and we chat on personal note.

3. During covid 19, l did giveaway on nairaland. You can check my nairaland postings. Beremx was the person who dispatched the money into the beneficiaries accounts.

Again, learn how to talk to people because l am not the type you can insult around.

Marjoribanks:

Greetings house. Please for the detribalized Nigerian annual award of 150k, could monikers here volunteer to tabulate the nominations for us ? Because l might miss some nominations owing to bad internet connection in my location.
If that is possible, l am suggesting we give the 2-man committee 40k for their data while the winner takes 110k.
House please your suggestions !

For the 150k token for detribalized Nigerians here, ;
1. Humility33 nominated banned large and Danielnino.
2. Chriskels nominated Danielnino.

By the end of this month of August, the prize will go to the person nominated the most. The money will be paid into his/her account and the person will acknowledge receipt on this thread.

150k annual token:
Greetings house ! I have been following this football thread for years though l hardly comment. I must confess you are all doing great jobs here and many Super Eagles and football lovers around the World are proud of you guys.
However, it appears some few individuals are trying to import their tribalism ( which have kept Nigeria on it's knees) to this beautiful house and we must resist that.
I want to be given 150k to the most detribalized Nigerian on this thread starting from December this year.
Please, the house should Nominate 3 monikers, and together with my other silent readers will chose the winner.
Thanks.

Should You not be congratulating air peace for bringing down the prices and helping our economy ? Bro, everything is not about politics! You scored an own goal here.

Yes, that should have been the right move. Air peace met some airlines operating from Nigeria to UK, it's insensitive of Air peace to slash the pice without no proper consultation with other airlines.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Nigeria Commences Sanctions Against Niger, Cuts Off Electricity Supply by lelion: 5:47pm On Aug 02, 2023
You are very correct my brother. You are well informed. I work with Niger Basin Authority ( NBA). in Niger Republic since 15 years now. NBA manages all activities along the river Niger which covers 9 countries namely : Nigeria, Niger Republic, Bénin Republic, Cameroon, Chad, Burkina, Mali, Guinea and Côte d'Ivoire...over 60% of the water body is in Niger Republic and Niger Republic is at the upstream. That means, any sanctions by Nigeria will make Niger build a dam on its section of the water and the effects will be devastating to Nigeria.

mikeapollo:

Jokers; Jokers; Jokers!
Nigeria is obligatorily bound to supply electricity to Niger Republic or pay dearly for any messing around!
Niger Republic is the big brother here when it comes to electricity. Nigeria negotiated and entered into an agreement/contract so that Niger Republic would not to construct a dam on river Niger, so that the water would be allowed to flow into Nigeria, and be used it to generate electricity and then give a dedicated supply to Niger Republic in return for their gesture.
If Nigeria messes up with this arrangement, Niger Republic would simply construct a dam over river Nigeria (for their won electricity), and Nigeria would suffer greatly as the whole of Kainji dam would dry out without water.

Think very well before all this gragra for nothing!
