I seriously doubt it will be canceled. PENGASSAN will not allow that. Don't forget they don't put such in offer letters. They are all embedded in the clause that says benefits are as stipulated in NNPC's condition of service.

There is no way that N1.5m quoted will be the only pay for GTs. NNPC is an oil company, not a ministry. Anyhow, the total package is competitive with other oil companies (bar IOCs and other top upstream independents).
Oga Jarus please I sent you a pm, would mean a lot if you responded sir.

Please do pick up bro, I have also been frustrated like you, I have travelled for tests and interviews so much that I don't tell my family members about it anymore. I wanted to quit, but I met a senior in late 2017 who encouraged me to keep trying, he will send me job adverts and everything, I kept trying, I left teaching and struggled my way back to engineering. I kept leaving my comfort zone and learning, this was actually my last shot at a GT job because of my age and then APL showed.

The senior who encouraged me also had a similar experience, but just between 2018 and now, he had worked for GE and now in TOTAL. Bottom line is never give up, I will advise you to get a masters degree to boost the age requirement. NEVER GIVE UP BRO
I'm really happy for you man, I won't give up cool...

This is a very painful moment for me. Even though i will still hold on to a tiny hope because i havent seen a success story from folks from Oyo and lagos nor av i seen success story 4rm the social sciences side. However, i want to say a huge congratulations to those that made the list, more wins for u guys and those of us yet to receive, i pray may the almighty comfort us in his own mysterious ways. Until anything changes, this will be my last post on this long journey... Stay safe
Asin my brother, we haven't heard from Oyo people at all... I actually think it's alphabetical order or something, but we didn't all get the oral invitation at once so there's still little hope.

on the 6th of Feb NNPC has a date with the house of reps on some issues. Then on the 7th & 8th of Feb there is going to be NNPC top mgt meeting decisions on staffing, refineries, transfers and revamping will be taken. So be it court case or no court case definitely this February things will be concluded.

Let's be honest, NNPC will always have issues to resolve with senate, the House or whatever... That MGT meeting doesn't necessarily have anything to do with APL as far as it's ready, because the resumption dates won't change... In fact it might mean they are preparing to have us in a matter of weeks and everything is right on schedule..

Bro the situation is only in God's hands. If I play my record for you, hmmmmm. Being from a family that is struggling, my parents managed to see me through school. After graduation in 2007 with a 2.1, all hopes were high and everyone was looking up to me because I was the first child of a family of 6.

I have gone for interviews in almost all the companies in Nigeria, Shell, Chevron, Mobil, Total, Saipem etc and nothing still happened.

In 2013, I got a job in a bank. In fact I was given a staff ID and was sent to a training school. But at the end of the training school, three of us were replaced by three people who joined us midway into the training school. Mehn, you needed to see the way I was crying at the bank's headquarters, begging them to reconsider their decision, that I did excellently well during the school. In fact my class mates in the school couldn't believe their eyes that I was dropped, cos I was one of the best, if not the best in the training school, even as an engineering graduate. But I picked myself up and moved on.

Toward the end of 2013, I applied for the Nlng graduate recruitment. I passed the first and second tests as well as the assessment centre. In fact after the assessment centre, regret mails were sent to those who were not successful and I wasn't sent any. In fact the mail I received says that they would get back to me pretty soon. Boy I was so excited. I thought that was the last straw that would break the camel's back. But lo and behold, after about 2years of waiting, they sent invites for medicals. I wasn't sent. The mail they sent me says " though your performance was commendable, however we regret to blah blah blah". That was the worst time of my life. I became so devasted that I refused to eat. In fact I swore that I was not going to serve God again, that he doesn't care about me. It was terrible. How I managed to pick myself after that still baffles me today.

Since then I had become reluctant to apply for jobs. I later got a job in a servicing company but some of us were dropped after some time, cos of the fact that the company lost some of its contracts during the periods of upheavals in the oil and gas industry.

Now I am teaching in a private school, preparing candidates for IELTS, SAT and TOEFL. Yes I make some money but it's hardly enough cos of the responsibilities I have on my shoulders. My parents are aged and my younger ones who are in school are all dependent on me. What is more? I am married with 3 kids.

Sometimes I feel so frustrated to the extent that I feel life is not worth living. All my classmates, when they see me, the don't believe I am still on this level, cos I was always at the top of my class and I this kind of versatile guy who can do well in any discipline.

However, I still believe I will make. I am still struggling to improve on myself. As someone who is knowledgeable in production and well engineering, I have done certifications. And I believe that God will one day pick up my call. I am also an Nnpc hopeful.

So guys, learn from me. If I am still kicking and hopeful, please don't give up. It shall be alright. Although I am still pained at heart that I can't take care of my parents who deprived themselves of comfort just to send me to school. People laughed at them for not wearing good clothes. But I can't care for them the way I should. My heart still weeps bitterly. But I still remain positive anyways.

Oh boy!! Here I was thinking I've seen life... Mehn I never see nothing oo

When I saw the crowd I thought we were in for a difficult one only to be disappointed with the questions. I honestly thought everyone was gonna pass the exam and was surprised only 20% made it to the interview.
Guy I was also really shocked, I assumed I was never going to get pass the test because it was ridiculously easy (mine at least), I assumed everyone was gonna pass with the way people were also reading mehn.......
When I saw their text (the NNPC invite for interview), I ignored it and continued with what I was doing, because I assumed it was to tell me "well you failed blah blah blah blah"... I come manage prepare for over 60 interview questions just to be asked 4 freaking ridiculous questions that was not like any normal interview questions I've faced or prepared for.. Now we are waiting for response... Chai!!!
