In every facet of development , Oshiomole is triumphant over any governor of Edo state since the new political dispensation. I,and many others, have several times attempted to enumerate his giant steps in the state's socioeconomic development, on several threads here. Being another blind Edo,I am not surprised that you couldn't see any.
, Like I said, just post them here and I will respond appropriately, still waiting on ur comments on Education

Lucky Igbinedion once placed a piece of machinery by Ikpoba River, right at the end of the slope, with which he wanted to dredge the river and make it accessible to the sea!
That is my memory of PDP and the extent to which they will go to when it came to corruption.
, Lucky igbinedion contribution to Education :College of Agriculture built, Edo State polytechnic built, Lecture theaters in AAU, hostels built e.tc and funding, fees was much lower, teachers employed massively. Oshiomole contribution to Education: 20% contribution to renovation of pry schools (FG 60%, LG 10%), 200% increase in AAU fees, no funding, no building built. next will be health. I will wait for you to comment on Education first. Like I said the only area Oshiomole was better than lucky was road construction and media propaganda nothing else.

You will be chastised with scorpions , under PDP. It is brainless really wanting to be in opposition in the Nigerian polity. Even worse, the PDP is not a better alternative for the people. There is no dogged charismatic figure in Edo PDP who can look Buhari in the face and ask for his state's due in the event of a Federal /state confrontation. Who? Pastor Ize-Iyamu? Engr Edebiri? Senator Uzamere? Only the middle personality has any modicum of respectability. With the other two, Edo state had better call the ebullient Nosakhare Igbinedion back to continue his reckless and visionless administration. Moreover, the pastor and senator are not stable enough to guarantee membership in PDP, win or lose.
, and the current govt is not reckless, do you know the state just approve another 10bn loan from cbn to be paid in 2 yrs when his tenure is ending in November next yr, including the laons from world bank and the 3.5billion bailout fro FG. You dont want me to compare Igbinedion govt with this coz the only area this current govt was better was road construction and media propaganda. No employment 8 yrs, no industries, no new school built, no hospital built, no form of contribution to electricity generation, no form of Job /wealth creation instead he has introduce several levies upon the people, I heard he has also introduced land use charge. Thats where the Gods of the land will punish him and his generation. He never lived in benin except as a gov, that is why he dont knw how the people are suffering. He ones told a widow to go and die. He is leaving the state with massive debt who will repay this debt. Lot of jobs were lost under his watch, all Edo line workers gone. Guy sector by sector, if you want us to compare Lucky igbinedion govt and Oshiomole govt am ready, lets start with education. Am advocating for Edebiri and not the pastor, even though the pastor has not done any wrong, he has never been indicted nor convicted. As for Uzamere he got no chance, PDP will not be that stupid to have him as their candidate, same with Mathew, the battle is between the Pastor and Edebiri for the party's ticket and any of them will defeat any of APC's candidate, from Odubu to Ogie, then dont have any reputation nor the political power.

, dont get, the current govt has performed poorly interms of human capital, no employment for 8 yrs, school fees increased without funding the respective schools, even tried to sell Edo house to himself just like Tinubu did with lag. all the industries he met collapse, no new schools, it is taking him 8 yrs to renovate the accident word at central hospital, yet the last govt built a new hospital within 2 yrs, the road construction he claimed to have done well is not visible, you can attest to that is you are currently in benin, the issues with the current govt is endless. The only thing left is to change the govt. We no longer need agbero like Tony kabaka and his elder brother Bob izua in benin.

i am from edo state. PDP cannot win Edo State.
PDP is only strong in EDo central (Esan) where i am from.
But we all know both PDP and APC will be having a bini candidates.
So esan the PDP stronghold will not be too ethusiastic about the election.

Thus
Edo Central (Esan) 50 %APC and 50% PDP
Edo south (benin) 50% APC and 50% PDP
Edo North (Etsako and Owan) 70% APC 30% PDP

total vote 60% APC, 40% PDP

You must be kidding, I guess the senatorial election have not change ur thinking. Edo South voted massively for PDP. Edo central is PDP 100%, thats annenih territory regardless of the candidate, however Edo south is key, a good candidate like Edebiri will persuade the voters to vote for pdp. One thing you should knw Edo south dont vote on party affiliation, we vote base on individuals, and as today there is none in APC, probably dey should bring Tony Kabaka as their candidate grin. Edo North is for APC coz of oshiomole, that will be immaterial

Bible said can anything good come out of Nazareth but Jesus came out........................... ............. The Agbero's people's congress(APC) said can anything good come out of pdp but behold Chief Solomon Iyobosa Edebiri came out. It is redemption and it is appointed unto Edo people to defend this and after this development. It is Edebiri every were you go.

In as much as I have nothing against Pastor osagie ize-iyamu (POI), i think the only chance pdp has is Edebiri, POI past association with both Lucky and Oshiomole's govt has not done him any favour with the Edo people. From whats am seeing POI is the favourite based on his political power, but I think for the purpose of the election Edebiri should be PDP's candidate as he is he one majority of Edo people wants.

when oshiomole bcame gov it was virtually clear to all dt edo state were lackin in virtually all d sector nd ntin in any sector for him to improve on. he clearly stated it to all dat he wud try nd touch all sectors in 1 way or another bt he wud focus more or ( not all sector, Edo state was only lacking in road construction, the Lucky igbin govt di well in education, I was one of those that benefited from using Edo state Libary) *commercial viable rds* as dats d hallmark of a develop city nd according to hw finance can take him(dnt 4get edo state til dis moment stil get d lowest allocation in S/S both via federal nd igr bt despite dt edo is stil d least indepted state in S/S. check DMO last published report nd confirm dis ok). so wit dat he started d construction of commercial viable rds around d city(check dis rds were i mentioned dem in dis tread). after he had successfully constructed most of dis commercial rds, he made d 2nd step construction to be strts dat are gully erosion threatened nd d roads d op has posted nd wud stil post re nt 1 of dem.
Bro I like your comment but note, we all live in benin. I have friends we both graduated since 2009 with no jobs, not even teaching jobs, he sacked Edo line workers, he sacked teachers without replacing them. My issues with him is that, is road construction the only aspect of governance. Yet the state is still flooded, most road are not motor-able, have you ever been to upper Sakponba and environs, I dont know if he has fixed st Saviour now. I broke my head celebrating his victory but he disappointed everyone. I took my time to listen to Solomon Edebiri during the 2012 gov debate again and blamed myself for not voting for him. You need to see the issues analysed by him then you will know Oshiomole completely failed us. How many peeps can afford AAU today, do you know he increased the fees more than 200%. How has he improved the school with the increased fees, no new infrastructure. Look at the terrorist (Kabaka) he is using to bully everyone. This guy stated there will be no more agbero if he is voted into power, but today Edo state is worst than Lagos in terms of agberos. He is a big mistake bro, if you want to be sincere . Road construction is not everything

NA Wah Oh. I feel for Ekiti People. They are a very peaceful people. Just imagine what would had happened if the PDP dominated state assembly in benin when Oshiomole was first sworn in made an attempt to impeach him. Kia !!!, e 4 red 4 dem sha.

How can those lawmakers allow people who are not from Ekiti distabilize the state, more annoying is the fact that they are calling the people thugs.

I have never seen thugs in all the states I have live in like the ones in Lagos. As at yesterday before you can buy fuel at a fuel station in Onipanu (Gallons, am not sure of vehicles), you will pay the black market operators(thugs) who will stand with the fuel attendant 200 naira, if not they will not allowy you to buy and that is after the have finished buying the fuel they will sell. Thats what I call thuggery. even the police that were present could not do anything. Dem 4 beat police join. I just pray this behavior do no migrate to other state because they like coping Lagos especially the negative aspect ( Jungle Justice, e.tc all started in Lagos ).

Edo state is currently under APC leadership because Edo people wanted the comrade governor and nobody can change that and Edo people will never tolerate outside interference in the state.

Ekiti has decided, you people should stop interfering in the state. abi na by force.

The major thugs here are the people from other states who thinks Ekiti people were wrong for voting Fayose , na una no get sense pass.. Please leave Ekiti and its people alone. Ejorr, Biko, Laohwowo. Na wah for this country.

The truth is bitter, if you like insult your head, and your family I dont care. I don talk my own if e pain you then ''go and die''. Osho baba

Autos / Range Rover’s Most Luxurious 4x4 EVER Set To Go On Sale - by leo97: 5:03pm On Apr 10, 2015
The most luxurious, exclusive and powerful production Range Rover ever launched has broken cover in New York – with a £150,000 price tag to match.
From the company that is providing most of the villains’ cars in the new 007 movie ‘SPECTRE’, the new flagship 4X4 has been specially engineered at Jaguar Land Rover’s (JLR) new elite Special Vehicle Operations unit.
It was unveiled at the New York International Motor Show in the US - one of the company’s biggest export markets.

The ‘special ops’ arm of JLR has fitted the Range Rover SVAutobiography with a powerful supercharged 5-litre V8 engine which develops a staggering 539bhp of pulling-power – equivalent to five Ford Fiestas.
It is the sort of power normally found in an Italian supercar - and gives the off-roader a top speed of around 150mph. But JLR stress that it isn’t just about performance on and off-road. The SVAutobiography is designed to take the Range Rover to ‘another level of comfort, craftsmanship and refinement’.

A spokesman said: 'The SVAutobiography is the most luxurious and powerful series-production Range Rover in the model’s successful 45-year history.’
The unique front grille is finished in distinctive Graphite Atlas and polished chrome.
Passengers in the back can relax in luxurious seating complete with a chiller compartment and powered deployable tables.

The 2015 management promotion exercise is ongoing and can't be run concurrently with the recruitment exercise. Suffice me to say that more people would still get the invite for the interview either through sms or email. The decision to suspend the exercise got to PCL late on the 18th Feb, thus the sms notification was stopped and no further sms was released aside the batch that had been sent out prior to the notification. The second sms sent to the same group of people was only a re-assurance that the exercise was active.

Autos / The Self-driving Car With A Built-in GYM: Bars And Pedals by leo97: 2:15pm On Mar 05, 2015
Driving has been blamed for making many people lazy.
So Italian engineers at Italdesign Giugiaro have teamed up with Audi and Technogym to get car owners to exercise when they’re stuck in traffic.

The result is a high-end self-driving electric car with basic gym equipment built into the seats and floor, a fridge for drinks and a Wellness mode.
Italdesign Giugiaro has created the world’s first autonomous electric car with gym equipment built into the seats and floor. Two handles are fitted into the rear seats and pop out of their compartment at the press of a button. For lower limbs, two flat boards designed by Technogym have been fitted to the floor
The concept model is called Gea and was presented at Geneva's 85th International Motor Show this week. It is dubbed 'the future of luxury mobility.'
It has so-called 'book-type' doors that can be opened remotely and beam a red carpet from the car onto the floor.

Two aluminium handles designed by Technogym are fitted into the rear seats.
By activating a sensor, the handles pop out of the compartment and can be used for upper body routines.

For lower limbs, two flat boards have been fitted to the floor.
These can be made to be raised and used for stepping exercises.
And a built-in monitor displays a video tutorial of Technogym exercise routines to help the user vary their workouts.
There is also room between the seats for a small fridge where drinks can be stored.
And at the top to this compartment, a small drawer contains cosmetics and a perfumed pouch for aromatherapy.
Elsewhere, when the driver selects Wellness mode dashboard LED lights turn to amber to create a ‘warmer, more relaxing atmosphere’.
A Business mode turns the Gea into a mobile office with two 19-inch screens that drop from the roof to let passengers choose what information is shown.
The front passenger seat can also turn through 180 degrees to hold meetings on the move.
And in Dream mode the front seats join and fold-out to add a footrest, while the right rear seat can turn into a fully flat bed.
LEDs project a relaxing blue light, the windows darken and pictures of galaxies and starry skies appear on the monitors and on the front dashboard.

Politics / My Experience With President Obama by leo97: 5:08pm On Nov 04, 2014
Last night I had the opportunity to meet President Barack Obama face to face. We shook hands and exchanged the typical superficial greetings and then he asked me what was on my mind.

I looked the President straight in the eyes and told him that I thought he was intentionally destroying America for his own subversive political agenda. He had a shocked look on his face and kind of stammered at first, not knowing what to say without his teleprompter. After a few seconds to compose himself, he got a serious look on his face and asked me why I felt that way.
I told him that it all starts with his refusal to prove to the American people that he is legally eligible to hold the office of President of the United States. If he had nothing to hide, then why is he hiding the records of his birth and even his college transcripts from Harvard.
Then I told him how his healthcare program was nothing more than a socialist scheme to tax poor and middle class Americans into bankruptcy. He interrupted me and said that he has not imposed any new taxes on the poor or middle people citizens at which point I told him he was a deceptive liar. I started to spell out all of the hidden taxes that start taking effect in 2013 and beyond.
I then pointed out that the insurance mandate not only is unconstitutional, but it only serves to drive premium costs higher and make it more difficult for millions of Americans to get health insurance. Again looking him in the eye, which I could tell made him very uneasy, I asked him how someone like myself is supposed to pay for mandatory health care coverage when they are barely making ends meet now. If you don’t have the money to buy it, you surely don’t have the money to pay a tax penalty for not having it.
He tried to explain that the purpose of his healthcare program was to make health insurance more affordable for everyone. I stopped him and asked if he really believed that as the facts indicated just the opposite.

Ever since Obamacare was enacted, insurance premiums have gone up along with deductibles and copays while coverage has decreased.I could see that he was getting rattled and put in a place he wasn’t comfortable with, so I turned the conversation to immigration, jobs and national security. I asked him why he isn’t enforcing federal immigration laws. Even as president he is obligated to obey every law in the land, not to pick and choose which ones he wants to enforce and which ones he doesn’t. I pointed out that in areas that have enacted strict immigration laws like Alabama that unemployment among US citizens has decreased at a much greater rate than the national average. I tried to point out that if he deported the 15 million illegals from the US that it would open up about 8-10 million jobs for US citizens.
He tried to defend himself by saying that most of the illegal immigrants in the US have never done anything wrong and that they just want a better way of life. I asked him if he realized that the term ‘illegal’ immigrant meant that they had broken federal immigration laws by entering the US illegally and therefore they all have done something wrong. Furthermore, US citizens deserved the right to seek a better way of life in their own country than illegals do.

And what about national security issues at the borders? With such lax border control, virtually any terrorist can easily gain access into the US and bring their arsenal with them. Not only have Border Patrol agents found evidence of Muslims crossing the US – Mexican border by many landowners along the border have also. Then there is the huge problem with drug trafficking across the southern border but instead of doing something to stop it, you sick the DOJ on law enforcement like Sheriff Joe Arpaio who are trying to do something about it. The President quickly interrupted and said that Sheriff Joe was guilty of racial profiling and I interrupted him and asked if he had any law enforcement experience. If over 95% of the illegal drug and immigrant trafficking is committed by Hispanics, doesn’t it make sense that they are going to target that ethnic group? It would be a waste of time and a dereliction of duty for them to spread out their investigations to white, Indians, Asians, Arabs, etc.

Right as I started to ask him about the economy and all of his secret Executive Orders that basically give him dictatorial powers, his Secret Service entourage came around the corner. As they finished buttoning their shirts and buckling their pants, they began to run towards us, ordering me to drop to the ground. The next thing I knew, I woke up and had to go to the bathroom. When I realized it had all been a dream, I was greatly disappointed as I would love the opportunity to confront Barack Obama with a long list of allegations and see what he would really say. If you had the chance to meet him and speak freely with him, what would you say to him
