Buying and begging are two different things.
The countries which you talked about are buying, Nigeria is begging a dying country for free food.
By the way, Russia produces much more grain than Ukraine. The USA did everything to stop Russia from selling its grain which is actually much more bad for food price in the world than Ukrainian grain being absent. Lesson: don't believe USA propaganda.
also did I say others don't produce grains? But for your ignorant mind when a world supplier with a 15% market share disappears everything will stay the same......prices won't go up, supply won't be stretched, hoarding won't happen....for your mind wey no get light everything go just dey alright.....you need education boss cause whatever you've gotten till now has left you an ignoramus.....

In an attempt to defend the undependable APC agents keep goofing. Peter Obi is particular about the fact that we are relying on "war-torn Ukraine" instead of the reverse.
is Russia not currently in a war? Is Germany not still buying gas from Russia? Why you no use your ignorant mind tell Germany make dem dey supply Russia gas since it's a war torn country?

don't forget that Tinubu paid delegates in dollars which is one of the reasons we are where we are.
yes Tinubu paying Delegates is dollar is the problem....wven at that time what was the rate? So because he paid someone dollars instantly means dollar should so rise 9 months later? Please try again.....
Politics / Re: Dollar Is Falling, Naira Is Rising, And The People That Update Us Are In Coma by leokid866: 1:22am On Feb 29

Bola Tinubu met the dollar at 400 official rate and 600 at parallel market rate. Until it drops below what he met it, we have nothing to celebrate.

Again, nobody forced Tinubu to take that job! He lost sleep, spent a lot of money and travelled round to country to convince Nigerians that he was capable of doing the job! He should do it and stop seeking validation!
lol for your mind that was the true value of your currency 🀣🀣🀣....you were all living large on government excesses and thought it was your right.....continue dey reason like small child.....what do you think the Naira float was all about? Or you mean to tell me it was Nigerians love for dollar that shot up so much in that last 9 months that brought the price to 1500 for 1 dollar....the government just showed you all Nairas true value and instead of Nigerians to find solution they started speculation hoping it will reaches 2k......I know people that have cried in the last two days 🀣🀣🀣

After creating over 40 ministries, you now want to scrap them?

Is that how a prepared leader behaves?

it's obvious you don't know the difference between a ministry, Parastatal and agency.....just sit down before you transfer your ignorance....

Politics / Re: Reno Omokri Replies Archbishop Emmanuel Chukwuma by leokid866: 9:43am On Feb 26
gidgiddy:
That fool called Reno Omokiri thinks that the entire problem of Nigeria started with January 15 1966 coup. The killing of Igbos started long before that. Let him go and Google the 1945 Jos massacre or the 1953 Kano massacre

Saying that Ironsi did not punish the coup plotters, he was there for only 6 months! Bringing other coup plotters to justice in Nigeria has taken over a year

The guy deliberately only talks about January 15 coup that killed 20 people, but can never talk about the coup that happened 6 months later that killed over 300 people and was far more one sided

The civil war did not happen because of January 15 coup, nearly every country in West Africa had coup around that time but did not fight civil war.

The civil war happened because Gowon and his Northern cohorts broke the Aburi agreement in their desperate bid to become the political masters of Nigeria, and the East were not ready to have that without a fight.
Oga ironsi had no excuse it took him just one month to try Adaka Boro and sentence him to death, while the coup plotters were having prostitute and fine wine delivered to them.

1. Which subsidy did Tinubu remove?
2. It's this same Tinubu that protested against GEJ govt when subsidy was to be removed
Under this Government we see Multiple Refineries coming up....but under Gej how many were running? How many barrels were they producing? Someone had no plans for maintaining the economy afterwards but he wanted to remove subsidy? He even kept Dangote from buying the PH refinery and held back his license to setup a refinery for 2 years because of politics but he wanted to remove subsidy......Even Buhari knew we could not remove it till we were able to face the aftermath which is why he scheduled it till the end of his tenure knowing relief will come soon.....

Remove religion from economic reality.

What goes up in Nigeria never comes down
two things have always happened....either standard of living rise or price does go down over a period of time usually within 2 quarters....Nigeria has faced both sides over the years.....but I see both happening together the First time ever.....

Nice analysis
Same thing I have been saying we need Naira redomination like Ghana did theirs
a redenomination won't make your problems go away, it only makes them look smaller so people think it's easier to deal with...but its still a problem.....Ghana you speak of had to borrow 3BN $ last year just to stay afloat and that was from the IMF alone

Tinubu will never do better bcus that's not why His Apc was created, taking power from pdp an keep power at all cost is why they joined forces.

These o e that are just talking for talking sake, Tinubu gave each state 5Billion of which 2Biillion has been paid to each state governor to help alleviate the current situation, I noticed none of them spoke on what they did with the money. Tinubu also gave each rep and senate member 75Million each over the Christmas period specifically to aleviat food pain, how many PDP Law makers used the money for the intended purpose how many governors came to talk that time? Bloody jokers.....

Because government don't want them to pay tax, there taxes that are easy to implement

Content creators earning tax... They know the implications of doing that

Property tax

Capital gain tax

The truth is there is no consequences to not paying tax zero consequences... Because are not scared of laws they are scared of the consequences of breaking the law

Me as a president you default on tax? Fine is 25% of your business value
lol shebi when FG said they want to start taxing content creators all of you were shouting government wants to kill you 🀣🀣🀣🀣....25% of business value is too extreme at the end businesses will flee....just look at China and what their government interference has done to their economy

There are jobs, you are just talking about highly specialized jobs and those people are less than 5% of the work force

Industries need to be Incentivised to invest and grow more

Tax on payee and capital gains should drive the economy
but how many people in Nigeria dey pay tax? Less than 23% of the working population pays tax......

mrvitalis:

USA economy is as strong as ever thanks to that Policy, jobs are not issues in the US

People just want certain type of jobs work from home jobs... Nigeria won't gave such an issue for now

CBN giving out the loans is the first problem
Give the loans to bank at a lower interest say 3% then tell banks to give to people in key sectors for 10% max 3 years free no interest

These things are not rocket science
lol tell that to all the people who just lost their jobs at Google, and businesses that crashed because they were living zombie life off free credit, no good dey look job postings O a lot of people are out of work in the US and living off their credit cards, they barely managed to escape a recession last year and are still trying to keep balance, things just started cooling this year....which bank do you want the CBN to use? The CBN uses the Bank of Industry for such endeavors, it makes no sense to Chanel it through third party banks which will result in higher interest and lack of complete oversight.....you really trust Nigerian banks with such responsibility? Even if we used the private banks you think that would magically make Nigerians pay back the loans?

He no dey hard to see Socialists

Na them

Lol πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Fixing power alone would take $120 billion minimum we don't have that and we don't need it right now

Port to major cities by rail would cost $100 billion... We don't have such amounts we don't need that right now

Reduce tax? Where is the tax? Do Nigerians pay tax? Lmaooo

This APC know nothing about development...

Nothing he said here can be achieved in even if you make prof the president

1) We need to restructure the taxing system such that companies can avoid paying tax if they reinvest in their business, grow it and employ more people

2) second we need to Identify areas we have comparative advantage and provide access to credit for this industries ( not every industries)

3) every none essential infrastructure funding should be stopped right now we don't need it as at now
on your first point that is the current tax system we operate in, but that does not mean companies who are profit and money making bound would just start throwing money around. Take the US for example for years the lowered interest rates and made credit and stimulus available to everyone, sure employment went up but today where are those jobs? Even the companies themselves have gone bankrupt cause all that was ever keeping them afloat was cheap credit..... on your second point when the CBN was giving out credit to various industries, individuals and Farmer programs how many of them paid back their loans? Nigerians just like free things but when it goes south na government no get sense.....on your third point Goodluck telling people in all the 36 states the projects they want but not need is non essential.....you kuku know your people if you do something in the south something of equal value must be done in other regions others they turn everything upside down for your head.....just ask Gowon....

Floating naira was a terrible decision at this point in time.

In a sane clime everyone will be on the street demanding a reversal.

But in Nigeria everyone will be playing with fire
lol the Night Nixon floated the dollar people expected the Markets to crash the next day followed by worldwide depression.....but no such thing happened....the price of Naira today is the true reflection of its true value based on Nigerias consumption of the dollar....with that said something should be done to slow its continued slump.......this is a step towards that......it will stop the speculation of the dollar in the banking system and among the BDCS

lol for your mind banks are standalone entities.....they are a deeply interconnected web of money and systems.....if one fails it doesn't just stop at the one bank country or city......it will affect different entities, businesses and governments across the world.....the fall of Leeman brothers ushered in the 2008 world wide depression......now imagine big banks like chase and co should crash all at once....do banks need more oversight and regulations Yes.....are we going to let them fail F#ck No........

Govt involvement is what caused every recession
No depression Democrat socialists till govt insured bank deposits
No meltdown till Democrat socialists govt insured fanni Mae and Freddy Mac loans trying to win election by bribing voters with sub prime mortfages
Next one will be school loans that socialist Democrat are using to buy votes again

again
Let bad companies fail instead of propping them up and making a bigger bubble that will explode yugely
