These o e that are just talking for talking sake, Tinubu gave each state 5Billion of which 2Biillion has been paid to each state governor to help alleviate the current situation, I noticed none of them spoke on what they did with the money. Tinubu also gave each rep and senate member 75Million each over the Christmas period specifically to aleviat food pain, how many PDP Law makers used the money for the intended purpose how many governors came to talk that time? Bloody jokers.....

Because government don't want them to pay tax, there taxes that are easy to implement

Content creators earning tax... They know the implications of doing that

Property tax

Capital gain tax

The truth is there is no consequences to not paying tax zero consequences... Because are not scared of laws they are scared of the consequences of breaking the law

Me as a president you default on tax? Fine is 25% of your business value
lol shebi when FG said they want to start taxing content creators all of you were shouting government wants to kill you 🀣🀣🀣🀣....25% of business value is too extreme at the end businesses will flee....just look at China and what their government interference has done to their economy

There are jobs, you are just talking about highly specialized jobs and those people are less than 5% of the work force

Industries need to be Incentivised to invest and grow more

Tax on payee and capital gains should drive the economy
but how many people in Nigeria dey pay tax? Less than 23% of the working population pays tax......

USA economy is as strong as ever thanks to that Policy, jobs are not issues in the US

People just want certain type of jobs work from home jobs... Nigeria won't gave such an issue for now

CBN giving out the loans is the first problem
Give the loans to bank at a lower interest say 3% then tell banks to give to people in key sectors for 10% max 3 years free no interest

These things are not rocket science
lol tell that to all the people who just lost their jobs at Google, and businesses that crashed because they were living zombie life off free credit, no good dey look job postings O a lot of people are out of work in the US and living off their credit cards, they barely managed to escape a recession last year and are still trying to keep balance, things just started cooling this year....which bank do you want the CBN to use? The CBN uses the Bank of Industry for such endeavors, it makes no sense to Chanel it through third party banks which will result in higher interest and lack of complete oversight.....you really trust Nigerian banks with such responsibility? Even if we used the private banks you think that would magically make Nigerians pay back the loans?

He no dey hard to see Socialists

Na them

Lol πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Fixing power alone would take $120 billion minimum we don't have that and we don't need it right now

Port to major cities by rail would cost $100 billion... We don't have such amounts we don't need that right now

Reduce tax? Where is the tax? Do Nigerians pay tax? Lmaooo

This APC know nothing about development...

Nothing he said here can be achieved in even if you make prof the president

1) We need to restructure the taxing system such that companies can avoid paying tax if they reinvest in their business, grow it and employ more people

2) second we need to Identify areas we have comparative advantage and provide access to credit for this industries ( not every industries)

3) every none essential infrastructure funding should be stopped right now we don't need it as at now
on your first point that is the current tax system we operate in, but that does not mean companies who are profit and money making bound would just start throwing money around. Take the US for example for years the lowered interest rates and made credit and stimulus available to everyone, sure employment went up but today where are those jobs? Even the companies themselves have gone bankrupt cause all that was ever keeping them afloat was cheap credit..... on your second point when the CBN was giving out credit to various industries, individuals and Farmer programs how many of them paid back their loans? Nigerians just like free things but when it goes south na government no get sense.....on your third point Goodluck telling people in all the 36 states the projects they want but not need is non essential.....you kuku know your people if you do something in the south something of equal value must be done in other regions others they turn everything upside down for your head.....just ask Gowon....

Floating naira was a terrible decision at this point in time.

In a sane clime everyone will be on the street demanding a reversal.

But in Nigeria everyone will be playing with fire
lol the Night Nixon floated the dollar people expected the Markets to crash the next day followed by worldwide depression.....but no such thing happened....the price of Naira today is the true reflection of its true value based on Nigerias consumption of the dollar....with that said something should be done to slow its continued slump.......this is a step towards that......it will stop the speculation of the dollar in the banking system and among the BDCS

Govt involvement is what caused every recession
No depression Democrat socialists till govt insured bank deposits
No meltdown till Democrat socialists govt insured fanni Mae and Freddy Mac loans trying to win election by bribing voters with sub prime mortfages
Next one will be school loans that socialist Democrat are using to buy votes again

again
Let bad companies fail instead of propping them up and making a bigger bubble that will explode yugely

Politics / Re: Dangote Refineries Plan Supply To 150,000 IPMAN Stations by leokid866: 10:52am On Jan 22
ValCon888:
One of the solutions to the expensive fuel cost is for Dangote to cut off IPMAN from his supply chain.

In the near future, he should consider supplying directly to consumers by setting up petrol station outlets across the country.

This will drastically bring down the cost of petroleum products.
lol how many petrol stations will he open across the country? Shey you will be the one to give him the money? Pr you expect us to wait another 7 years for him to try and build 150k petrol stations nationwide?

I don't think that is a wise decision ... Alhaji should allow Tank Farm Owners to breath... You know everyone can't be coming to Lekki or the Firms listed .. let those that want to collect by cargo collect ... Moreover they are other Tank farms in other states and you shouldn't deny them access ....
it's not going to be much of a problem.....the tank farms will just switch from storage to share locally to storage for export.....independent marketers that need for export will still have use for them.....though the Market will shrink.....the tank farmers cannot escape the effects of the Dangote refinery.....

You CAN NEVER sustain a country where non indegenes are not allowed to participate in politics and choice of political leaders of any place.

The examples you gave above are a million kilometers different from the Lagos issue.
You most SOFISTIWRETCHED lot never tell yourselves a simple truth: you can only have Lagos for your ethnic group alone after you declare your suspended Oduduwa Republic; you can not continue to depend on cash from crude oil in the Niger delta to develop Lagos, yet you claim that Lagos is city for only your ethnic group. Bayo Onanuga mindset.
can you hear yourself? You want to be playing chess in your own village and be asking us to play ludo with you in Lagos......Lagos is a million kilometers away like say no be this same Nigeria we dey.....if you want a change start from from your own place first afterall charity begins at home....till then shift.....🀣🀣🀣

Oga , what are you saying?? The crude was given to Dangote ( he has not paid) under a special arrangement by federal government. He insisted he wanted to use Nigerian crude and not foreign crude as was initially suggested to him . Dangote will purchase the crude in Naira and sell in Naira. If he exports refined products he will be paid in Dollars. The issue is most Nigerian elite have offshore accounts for their companies so I strongly believe the export proceeds will be sent to his offshore account so Nigeria does not benefit anything.
All Crude is sold in Dollars, he could have paid in Naira using CBN rate but don't believe that he was not given a dollar per barrel rate.....for Nigerian marketers they will pay in Naira but will be pegged to the per barrel dollar rate, for international export they will pay in dollar through the CBN who in turn will pay Dangote the Naira equivalent. .....and you forget the NNPC owns 20 percent of the company, you think the support the buhari government and them Tinubu gave Dangote was just so he can carry dollar and be flexing while the rest of us look on? Long before now the government has said they will pay him Naira while the CBN handles all Dollar transactions at their own rate......why do you think the CBN is shoring up its office in Lagos?

debt relief only means part of the debt goes away not all....the debt will just be restructured in a way that will make it easier to pay, they knock off a few billion (most likely interest accured potions) and send you on your way.....banks and foreign lenders do it all the time.....

Made in Nigeria but we will purchase at import rates.

No changes.

We are in for a long thing.
purchase of Fuel is always done at International rate everywhere in the world, in Dangotes case all foreign purchase will be made through the CBN at their current dollar rate not black market while the Naira equivalent will be disbursed to Dangote for the purchase of fuel....this will give the CBN more dollar income to further stabilize the Naira and create more savings opportunities as against what we had before when purchase was made and sold at Black market rate....
