I see stuff like these and the one that happened with wike as a major security gap that needs to be addressed immediately.

Every security apparatus in a state shd take orders from the state government not the FG as the state governor is the chief security officer of his state.
That's why there is commiosnier of police and brigadier generals who head each state. They take orders from them not governors

If he had respect for other members of the armed forces esp the police, he wouldn’t use such words on them.

In a more civilised and organised society. Those police officers could arrest him.
Lol joke on you. No police officer can arrest a military man. Only a military police can.
The police where playing eye service to please wike. You could here one of the military told the police "if you die here na your family go suffer:

What exactly did Wike do that's bad on this issue? The former CNS couldn't provide any document he got for the land but keeps on claiming he owns it
Wike should have gone to court not carrying bulldozer up and down

It seems you don't have data to watch the video. Before Wike went to the place at all, the FCT administration sent some of their officials to the land and asked them to produce the land document, instead of providing the documents they have, the former CNS sent soldiers to the land to stop the officials from doing their job, they don't have any documents at all. Watch the video and stop supporting illegality because it's affecting a politician you hate

We will be here when the table turn
It's you that didn't watch the video. So you didn't hear when the officer pointed to who they gave the documented the previous visit and the guy was shouting and denying?

Some Nigerians are so mentally brutalized by military rule so much that they see military officers as demi gods who are above the law and can get away with anything.

Many Nigerians died for the freedom we have today, we should protect it jealously. Military members are bound by law as well.

Resorting to illegal self help is not how to protect yourself. You protect yourself using legal avenues. The land in question will be revoked and there is absolutely nothing the former CNS will do about it.
Then wike should have gone to court. Why shouting like a tout. You people only twist narratives to favour you. What stops wike from going to court when he was obstructed. No he want to use agbero way

The Naval officer was wrong on how he executed the illegal order. He should have called the Naval HQ for guidance when the minister showed up. You cant be loyal to a retired CNS at the detriment of current constituted authority.

Although Wike also did not act with decorum. He should have simply called the officer's superiors and reads the riot acts to the officer that obstructing him is indirectly disobeying the c-in-c with consequences and not exchanging words and throwing verbal insults with a junior officer. The officer was just too junior.
So you didn't see him in the video making call and taking directives?

As much as I dislike this man Wike as I think that he loves power and abuses it. I also think that he is corrupt to his eye balls, I can not condemn his stance and behaviour during the land issue with the navy officer.

The Nigeria navy personnel and his men have no business being there. The oga that sent him should’ve done things and handled this matter differently.
This I believe is a civil matter and it should’ve been the police handling this issue and not the military.
Wike shouldn’t have used rude and offensive language on the young man, the naval officer shouldn’t have said that Wike lack intergrity as well.
Wike might be overdoing things but would this military officer have confronted El Rufai in this manner when he was the FCT minister?

El Rufai had same issues with top military officers during his time and they all never stepped out of line. He had problem with Jerry Useni and I think El Rufai demolished Useni’s property and nothing happened. The military deserve respect so does the police that this young navy officer was talking down on. Many of those police men that he was belating and disrespecting have started wearing the uniform before him.
The officer didn't see that. He only said " I am a man of integrity"
It's not about who first started wearing uniform ibut about rank. He is senior to them in rank

Apologise for what? In analysing an issue, I go to the root, instead of dancing around chasing shadows. If the foundation is faulty, nothing will stand.

This fellow is just another charlatan and attention seeker who never speaks the truth. Always looking to score cheap and useless political points.

I want to read about the punishment of the soldier and his superior on this platform, if we are being serious. Enforcing illegality and expecting to be treated with dignity. Are you kidding me?

I support the FCT Minister's actions 100%. Did that soldier have the right to be there and also prevent the Minister's access to the land? How dare he? What are we even talking about in this country? Is this a military regime? What a country.
Has ur lord savior wike been furnished for his illegality in Abuja?

Wike as a lawyer ought to know that only the president can order military and that's why the president is addressed as "President and Commander in chief of armed forces." This is the constitutional nomenclature of the Nigerian president. This nomenclature specifically captures the military leaving out other security agencies out. Moreover, wike could have called the CDS or CNS in office without being there and those soldiers would be moved away, but he wanted to show force and gara gara

A military person fragrant disregard for constituted authority is a threat to national security.

A retired military personnel is illegally occupying a land and instead of providing documents to show ownership decided to send military men to beat up anyone that comes near the land.

The military people have been beating up everyone that comes near the land until Wike himself went to the said land and the FCT minister was denied access to the land.
The chief of illegal land acquisition is Wike himself. He met his like

I'm not surprised by the soldier’s behavior. Nigerian soldiers are notorious for being disrespectful and intimidating. They’re often used by civilians to settle personal or civil disputes. I actually admire that Wike stood his ground against him. You’d never see an American soldier act like that, never. Everyone has their own role: Wike was doing his, while the soldier overstepped and did someone else’s. He should be on the battlefield tackling insecurity, not confronting a minister on orders from a retired officer. Is he a lawyer?

In fact, those naval boys should be arrested and prosecuted immediately.

You are perfectly right anyway, but what's right in Nigeria? Everything in this country is awkward and zig zaggly done ....in the first place, why would an ex Navy Chief ordered that young officer to be manning a building site, that's an awkward task for an officer of the Federal Republic Of Nigeria, that he's been paid from citizens tax. That's bad enough and shouldn't have been, you don't ordered an officer to go carry out a task beside the regular defence job in which he's been trained to do. His first loyalty is to Nigeria and not to be a maigaurd to an officer building site ........nothing goes well in this country anymore.....more reason you see a senator of the Republic fighting over a girl he abducted at 17years of age and still sitting as a Senator of the Republic till now......should have been suspended tey tey when discovered she was 17years when cornered into marriage..........
How about the large number of police ur minister carry as entourage everywhere he goes.? Is that normal?

I doubt if you aware the same scenario happened to Sanwo Olu and Police officer.

Meanwhile, the 2 scenarios are different, why the senior military officer came on his own to disobey traffic rules, the navy here was posted there by higher superior officer, it's Wike that is not supposed to be arguing with low ranking officer that far below him, he supposed to leave there or call higher authority to order them to leave the place, but since he is egoistic, he wanted to force and he was degraded.
You call a lieutenant low ranking

What the soldier did was wrong.

I know, so I will say this...I am not a tinubu supporter and wike is a awful minister of the fct with corruption all over him

But he is the minister of the fct. And if a soldier is disobeying a minister of the republic, and people are hailing him because tinubu, it shows that people who are in opposition are just as lawless as those in government.

Obey constituted authority

But then again we have a habit in this country of not following the rules and authority. Whether we support tinubu or not. See MC olumo

But the fact that we have a government of essentially bad people does not make yerima action right

Would those praising the lieutenant be doing so if it was an Obi appointee as fct minister? And would those critical of the lieutenant be praising him if obi was president?

We are so blinded by politics that we don't want to do the right thing.

Like I said, if you read this and think I support tinubu, think again. I would say this if it was obi as president or anyone else . If you like , support the lieutenant. Don't complain when you see a bad situation right. Like I always say, apc won't have been in charge if opposition was united.
The rule of the military is to obey the last order even if it involve losing their life. He has to obey the order from his superior.
The overzealous wike should have called his superior.

I learnt after embarrassing himself he called the chief of defense staff who told him to back down.
That was why he left after making that call

I just feel sorry for that soldier now because when he will be redeployed to Sambisa, those hailing him now won't even be aware. His job there was illegal. You all just can't seem to understand that the military is powerless in the face of politicians. The military have to asslick politicians to get things done.

He should be disciplined immediately for professional misconduct. His behavior was completely disgraceful and unacceptable. In a democracy, the military take orders from the civilian government and not the other way round.

The land in question is vested in the minister and no one else. That place is not a military barrack. It is a land that is governed by civil authority. Immediately the FCT minister ordered him out of the place, he has no reason not to comply. Preventing the FCT minister from accessing the land is the height of irresponsibility. It should never happen again.
The minister can just go about accessing private land because he is a minister. He has no right. If he had presented a court order then he should have presented it. You can't go to someone's private property with police because u are minister.

Both Lt. A.M Yerima and Wike didn't communicate effectively (or with emotional intelligence). Both of them are guilty to varying degrees of being "egotistic" or not being self-aware in their communication as can be seen in the screenshot and the video.

However, Nyesom Wike is the FCT Minister and should have been accorded that respect by the young military men. He is like a State Governor overseeing the administration of the FCT.

I still remember how the former Governor of Lagos State Babatunde Raji-Fashola got a senior Army officer arrested for using the BRT lane. The officer even had to come out of his vehicle and saluted Babatunde Raji-Fashola in a photograph that went viral online. Period.
That officer Commited a crime. Which crime did this one commit
