Hmm, return come find wetin now?  Some of you guys that are running your mouth about the
"good life"  you are are living in Nigeria, if all the Nigerians in the Diaspora return, your current
source of income may be threatened.  And what will happen after that, more jealousy and more
arm robberies?  smiley

Joke aside, Nigeria is a big joke!  Having seen the kind of treatment people like Ribadu who
risked his life to serve his country is receiving or Ngozi who was been hounded to refund the
salaries that was paid to her in dollars, who are you going to convince to return, return to what
and for what?

To each his own sha, but I am content with the annual 2 week visits, soon to be 1 week visits.
Doing what realy?

We like to know what you guys do - most of it dont make sense realy - street cleaners/ bus conductors etc.

Back to your post, there is suffering every where. But what the difference is the amount. So do you think me giving up all that i have accomplished here and move back to Nigeria will not include suffering? c'mon.
What have you acheived that millions have not acheived better in Nigeria - even without stepping outside Nigeria? You must think all the people in Nigeria are sufferhead? No way - woo - o da bi pe pride lon wori obinrin yi i sha.

You are under one spell and dillusion that the governonr wants you all to come back because you have a magic wand to change the country - Nigeria - no - he just simply wants you to tap into the opportunities in the country rather than allowing foreigners to do that - simple - who thinks there is a magic you people will come and do? See them talking as if they realy matter anything to the country?

See this one talk. You would be the first to run and get American citizenship. What can Nigeria offer me there that i can not receive here? Answer me this honestly. Why does it take for us to be shipped to a place of uncertainty just so we can some how "fix" the country? Do you actually think for one moment that us coming back will some how magically change Nigeria? PLEASE WAKE UP FROM YOUR SLUMBER!!!! There are other ways about it then for us to go and give up all the sacrifices and decisions we made here to live the "Good Life", and to come and live in Nigeria where we have to go back and suffer again.
I cant agree less that you are a slowpoke - i wonder which kind of patients you attend to? Craze people?

Get american citizenship? for what? Did you read my post? I lived in the UK and studied for a Master's degree in one of the leading UK universities - Edinburgh precisely - but i choose to come back home to my country. Suffer? So you are not suffering where u are? What is you definition of suffering?

You indeed are a slowpoke

@lepashandi

What a stupid comment 'slaving for the white man', you mean slaving for yourself and your family.

Stupid racist comment with no substance at all. We all slave for someone, even whites slave for the whiteman angry angry angry
Yeah - call me racisit - who gives a dam? slaving for the white man it is called - not slaving for your family - i have been thru all that life in the UK - so dont tell me stories.

Ha ha this is the most funniest and rib tickling post. White man abi? So At least the white man is paying me for my job instead of me going on strike or having to raise funds to supply my own job equipment.

Keep defending madamkoko. This be the same woman who wants Nigeria to erase religion but will not answer how to enforce it. This is too funny.
I will rather labour and suffer for my country to make it better than suffer for one stupid white man who hates everything black - u think you are the best loved in the place you are - hmmm - wait till a white man diffrentiates between you and himself - that is when you will know what its all about.

let those who dont want to live in Nigeria stay where they are - what good do they want to offer the country anyway - let them keep slaving for the moda foking white man - let them keep slaving their heads out. To me - it is nothing but slavery re defined.

Well this is all nice to here but majority of the people aboard don't work in the business profession. Most of us work in the medical profession. And don't even try to tell me that they pay more there than they do here. I will laugh like no tomorrow.
You better do - i.e. laugh like no tommorrow when you find out it is true.

At the last count - fifteen of my friend have left the UK to take up jobs in Nigeria or to set up businesses - but the lazy ones dont see anything good in Nigeria - why does the governonr bother? It only makes their head to swell as if they are already the President - why? Because they have stepped out of the country - sorry o.
PoliticsRe: 'Return Home', Fashola Charges Nigerians In Diaspora by lepashandi: 9:18pm On Aug 21, 2008
my problem with the so called diasporian is that they have forgotten that people better than them have been outside and have also come back to live in the same Nigeria and have made better life - it is frustration for them to think and beleive that nothing good can become of their life after having lived in "paradise" to come back to nigeria and live in a hell hole.

They become so proud and carry themselves as if people havent been where they are - lived it and moved - it is like that - they deride everything Nigeria - as if that was not the same place that they gre up and became someone - but one minute they travel - and then the next minute they are thinking they will be killed when ever they step their foot in Nigeria - what a sorry life.

Americans, British, Indians, South Africans, chinese etc are coming to Nigeria to reap the fruit of the land - but oh no - my fellow Nigerians are runnin outside the same country to go serve the same oyinbo man - what an irony.
PoliticsRe: 'Return Home', Fashola Charges Nigerians In Diaspora by lepashandi: 9:11pm On Aug 21, 2008
I was in the UK, studied for a Master's degree in one of the best Universities and made the best grade but chose to come back to Nigeria - because Nigeria is my home and I don't see a better life than in Nigeria where I came from. I knoiw many like that -

for the people outside to call it laughable and frustrating to live in Nigeria, is the same thing for people who have tasted the two sides to call it laughable for them to decide to stay and live there,.
PoliticsRe: 'Return Home', Fashola Charges Nigerians In Diaspora by lepashandi: 9:02pm On Aug 21, 2008
but honestly speaking - the governonr wants to help you people abroad by asking you to come home and become somebody? I ask you - what are you where you are? Flipping burgers? as graduates, traffic wardens, street sweepers, carers who wipe old peoples butts, security officials, or what other thing better are you? How many of you do very glorious jobs to be proud of? Jobs you can tell people at home in Nigeria and be happy about it? How many of you? Apart from saying Nigeria is rotten and so and so - we all know that - but in the same country - people buy cars and build houses on a daily basis - but where you are - all you spend and depend on is nothing but credit - but in Nigeria - people spend their hard earned cash - meaning they make the money -

so - my advice - all of you - stay put where you are and may God Almighty never make it possible for you to come back to the stupid country you left years ago.

Kobojunkie:
What good will I, or anyone planning to move back to Nigeria, be to Nigeria, if we Land Today but are found dead Tommorow ( Possibly Die in a Car accident on those death traps called roads, Or get ambushed on the way from the airport by Bushmen ( Armed robbers), Or get blown up by some tanker fire)? Tell me, what good?
Very good question - what good will you or anyone else like you be to Nigeria? Nothing - u will be as useless and as irresponsible as anything - therefore you are not wanted -
