Acidosis: North Central needs more states. Kogi state specifically; On travelling by road from Egbe in Kogi state to Ayangba in the same Kogi state, travellers spend over 7hours by road (without traffic jam)!!!I serve for nysc in kogi state and I can categorically tell u that the elongated travel time is as a result of bad road and nothing else.fix the bad roads and I can assure u the farthest distace in kogi won't take u up to 2 hours to cover.secondly,on the issue of underdevelopment of kogi state,no one is stoping ur leaders from developing or harnessing ur resources ok?hold ur leaders accountable! |

See the way that useless agbayameta tried downgrading akpabio with the airport stuff when it is pretty obvious that the best governor in Southwest being fashola with all the fed and state IGR couldn't even come close to what akpabio achieved in akwaibom state.all these ofenmanus realy need to grow up and start asking their leaders questions I swear.but after all said and done,I guess they get the kind of leader they deserved. |

As long as the Muslim population remains around or under 2% in any given country, they will be for the most part regarded as a peace-loving minority, and not as a threat to other citizens. This is the case in: United States — Muslim 0.6% Australia — Muslim 1.5% Canada — Muslim 1.9% China — Muslim 1.8% Italy — Muslim 1.5% Norway — Muslim 1.8% At 2% to 5%, they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups, often with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs. This is happening in: Denmark — Muslim 2% Germany — Muslim 3.7% United Kingdom — Muslim 2.7% Spain — Muslim 4% Thailand — Muslim 4.6% From 5% on, they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. For example, they will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature halal on their shelves — along with threats for failure to comply. This is occurring in: France — Muslim 8% Philippines — 5% Sweden — Muslim 5% Switzerland — Muslim 4.3% The Netherlands — Muslim 5.5% Trinidad & Tobago — Muslim 5.8% At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves (within their ghettos) under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islamists is to establish Sharia law over the entire world. When Muslims approach 10% of the population, they tend to increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. In Paris, we are already seeing car-burnings. Any non-Muslim action offends Islam, and results in uprisings and threats, such as in Amsterdam, with opposition to Mohammed cartoons and films about Islam. Such tensions are seen daily, particularly in Muslim sections, in: Guyana – Muslim 10% India — Muslim 13.4% Israel — Muslim 16% Kenya — Muslim 10% Russia — Muslim 15% After reaching 20%, nations can expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings, and the burnings of Christian churches and Jewish synagogues, such as in: Ethiopia — Muslim 32.8% At 40%, nations experience widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks, and ongoing militia warfare, such as in: Bosnia — Muslim 40% Nigeria – Muslim 50.4% Chad – Muslim 50.3% Lebanon — Muslim 59.7% From 60%, nations experience unfettered persecution of non-believers of all other religions (including non-conforming Muslims), sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon, and ***ya, the tax placed on infidels, such as in: Albania — Muslim 70% Malaysia — Muslim 60.4% Qatar — Muslim 77.5% Sudan — Muslim 70% After 80%, expect daily intimidation and violent jihad, some State-run ethnic cleansing, and even some genocide, as these nations drive out the infidels, and move toward 100% Muslim, such as has been experienced and in some ways is on-going in: Bangladesh — Muslim 83% Egypt — Muslim 90% Gaza — Muslim 98.7% Indonesia — Muslim 86.1% Iran — Muslim 98% Iraq — Muslim 97% Jordan — Muslim 92% Morocco — Muslim 98.7% Pakistan — Muslim 97% Palestine — Muslim 99% Syria — Muslim 90% Tajikistan — Muslim 90% Turkey — Muslim 99.8% United Arab Emirates — Muslim 96% http://www..com/are-muslims-heartless-this-article-about-islam-will-shock-you/ |

In the wake of allegations by Hausa /Fulani community in Anambra State that some unidentified cattle rearers from outside the state are infiltrating local communities and destroying crops and farmlands, Governor Willie Obiano has promised to set up a Committee to coordinate activities of genuine cattle herdsmen and their host communities. This is a bid to ensure effective maintenance of harmonious co-existence, peace and understanding between natives and residents in the state. Fears had been expressed recently in parts of Anambra concerning the arrest of 486 suspected terrorists in Abia State among who is a terrorist on the wanted list of security operatives. Not leaving anything to chance, Governor Obiano held a meeting with representatives of Hausa-Fulani community, chairmen of local government areas, some traditional rulers and presidents-general of communities affected by the activities of the herdsmen and security operatives at the Women Development Centre, Awka over the weekend. Addressing the meeting, Governor Obiano said that the committee he will set up would include representatives of the Hausa-Fulani communities, traditional rulers and presidents-general of the affected communities as well as representatives of the police, among others. According to him, the committee will among other things ensure that herdsmen are restricted to areas mapped for grazing to avoid the repeat of recent incident at Omasi community in Ayamelum Local Government Area that resulted in the killing of innocent farmers and destruction of two farms by herdsmen. While assuring them of security of their lives and property, the governor called for vigilance and security consciousness, urging them to report suspicious situation and strange characters promptly to the nearest police and other security agents. He enjoined them to register with the Divisional Police Officer of their area of residents to provide the police with necessary data to protect them and their properties. Leader of Hausa/Fulani Community in the state, Mallam Gidado Saddiki, in his address, raised the alarm that unknown cattle herdsmen were allegedly coming into the state from either Kogi or Enugu states and destroying crops and farmland in Awka, 9th Mile, Ayamelum and Anambra West local government areas of the state. Mallam Saddiki requested the governor to continue the ongoing cattle market project, noting that when completed, it would help to boost the state internally-generated revenue. Besides, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, Chukwudi Anara, had said the governor initiated the meeting to further entrench peaceful co-existence, among all residents of the state. Chairman of Oyi Local Government Area, Mr. Uchenna Okafor, said the meeting would help promote understanding and streamline activities of herdsmen. In their contributions, the leader of Hausa community in Onitsha, Alhaji Ilyasu Yushau, and his Awka counterpart, Alhaji Garba Haruna, thanked the governor for giving them a sense of belonging and commended his remarkable achievements. http://dailyindependentnig.com/2014/06/boko-haram-obiano-seeks-identification-hausa-fulani-herdsmen/ |
The Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) has entered into partnership with the Technical University, Munich, Germany and the Imo State Polytechnic Umuagwo to develop a car for the sub-Sahara Africa. The project, according to the Vice Chancellor, Prof Cyril Gozie Asiabaka, is aimed at solving the mobility needs of Nigerians in particular and other African countries such as Ghana and Kenya. Asiabaka, who disclosed this while giving account of his stewardship in the past three years as the sixth substantive vice chancellor of the university, said the most important component of the e project is the infusion of local materials in its production, affordability, robust electronics, simple operation, climate/environmental friendliness and ultimately, its production in the region. “As I speak, the project has reached an advanced stage and in a short while, the project would be unveiled,” he assured. In keeping with the vision of internationalization of the university, the vice chancellor said the institution and the Galilee International Management Institute (GIMI) had established a joint centre for the study of management. He listed the main objectives of the centre to include: teaching and researching in advanced subjects and methods in management including human resources management, industrial management and high education management. When operational, Asiabaka assured that the centre would focus on new and innovative methods of managing organizations from the public as well as from the private sector and offer postgraduate programmes. Asiabaka who also spoke of his landmarks on students welfare, infrastructural development and beautification of the campus environment said the successful computerization of all aspects of the university activities had formed one of the cardinal objectives of his quest for excellence. http://dailyindependentnig.com/2014/06/futo-build-car-sub-sahara-africa/ Happy for sister state IMO. ![]() |
