Baby Eileen Chimdiebube made her grand entrance yesterday evening via V.D, weighing 3.7kg.

This can only be God.

My people, I will be back to share our Birth Testimony.

Mama, we are strong and waddling in the Almighty. Some days we are so tired, other days, we are filled with laughter, bubbling with Energy.

I congratulate my teamies who have put to bed.

I am convinced that we will move from glory to glory. Delivery that is swift and supernatural is our lot.

Mama, if you want to continue with the marriage for the sake of your child and the love you have for him which for the time being is unrequited and MIGHT likely remain so for a veery long time, then you have to brace up with the virtues of kindness and patience.

You have to be ready to endure by getting a life.

Do not allow your world to revolve around him as he will keep causing you more frustration and emotional pain as a result of what he thinks you put him through.

Patience and loving kindness is the keyword, but you must also detach yourself emotionally and be strong.

Well, it is well.

Liftedhands was one of the Mums who specifically made me feel welcome here and attended to my questions even when I kept asking the same thing in different manners.
You are a passionate soul who does what she does for the love, so I see no reason why heaven will not attend speedily to your call.
It may not seem like it now, but it will all end in praise.
When I read about it all earlier, I was visibly depressed because it all sounded too close to home.....in this case, she was sent out of her matrimonial home and like me too, she is 36 weeks or more gone. We took in at the same time. I don't want to go into details, but all I know is that the heavens is not silent.

We may not understand the workings of the almighty now, but things will get better.
This is my hope and desire for you, for her and for every mother/mother to be who are experiencing one challenge or another.

When i get home i'll modify this post and upload a pic. You have to look for the original palm kernel oil. My mum sends the original one for me every month. It's light brown, while the fake is black.

They told us not to use cream and powder till 6 months. I'm not sure how that will pan out

That is how my mum made me keep aside all my "oyinbo" cream and i started using Palm Kernel oil mixed with shea butter for my boy.
I get compliments everywhere i go on how smooth and frosh his skin looks.

My mum never lets me rest with "i told you so".

You see that black and pink flat surface, it is actually meant to be down there, but you have an option of putting the surface on that level too.

It is close to Ijesha.
If you are coming from Mile2 or Oshodi enroute mile2, just ask for Odolowu junction, then when you alight, ask of the warehouse.

I bought it for 12k. One woman told me 15k last and that one didn't look as cool as this.

Lexajen you don't need another mattress... That first layer is the mattress.
Don't know if its the same size as mine, but I use a pillowcase (100% cotton) as a bedsheet for it....I.e I put the mattress inside the pillowcase like a pillow so there are no loose clothings to prevent suffocation.

If you think you need another mattress, then I think you can get it in one of these vitafoam or mouka foam shops

I use nappies and cloth wipes and they work well for me and I believe in the long run, they are much cheaper and function better than most locally produced diaposable diapers. I used Aveeno baby wash and switched to Dove pure and sensitive after 3 months. Antiseptic baby cream is unnecessary in my opinion and I shared on the Newborn thread a link that antibacterial handwashes and soaps were being banned in the U.S. from next year. I can answer more there on that thread if you like.

My baby cot is a bit different from yours, but I bought a MOUKA FOAM BABY COT MATTRESS from one of their distributors. They make it specifically for baby cots, and it comes pre-wrapped wt a Waterproof material that prevents the mattress from absorbing pee or any fluid that pours on it.

My mum says you may not get original white napkins of good quality anymore, but u can try asking when u get to the market.

I googled flannel gowns and I was seeing images of gown Wey resemble normal nightgown. May I ask what u need them for??

I copied u in zayn.ie's comment on diaper size for newborns. There r lots of brands in the market but u can also ask experienced mamas around you and work with their feedback. My elder sis and 2 friends have recommended molfix diapers, I haven't bought any yet. Just start wt a small quantity first and then with time, u add more...that way ur not stuck wt lots of unused diapers which ur lo has outgrown.

I bought Zorbit.
Then I bought those liners, dry love wet wipes, sudo cream, and that napkin tie tie, can't remember the name.
I will get disposables to augment later. I have taken note of the brands mentioned.

Flannel is apparently a fabric type. I learned that at the market today.

I'm beginning to experience the heaviness other mamas are talking of.

Also Mamas, there is something I was taught that I have been meaning to share.
It's about caring for our breasts.
Before now, I had this dark dark patches all over, it made my areola feel very dry but I didn't bother myself much because I am a first time mum and I felt the changes are normal and those things would fall off on their own.

But I used Olive oil to plaster every area of my areola (coconut oil works too) then I left it for a while, like 10 minutes, then I started cleaning.

Christ!!!! The things that fell off ehn!

Now I feel like the owner of my breasts again.

I was also taught to be pulling my tips to allow for easy lactation.

It was a really fulfilling experience for me and I wish that some of us who haven't started doing it will start.

LO rarely does her gymnastics these days so my guess is she has positioned herself for arrival because the last I checked, she was Longitudinally breeched. I feel more of bulges then kicks at the midsection then upper part of my tummy.

All I just want to do lately is rest and rest. Hopefully I will stop work on the 30th this month.
