Internet marketing is the love of my life. I love it to the extend that I can't do without it. Am into MLM stuff and its really paying me cash. Am coming back here to share my testimony and how far I have gone in this business.
I have two nairaland members working in my team and they got my contact here. I haven't seen them before but we are really doing good.

IM is not for the lazy and quick money people, with time, you will get there.

Don't do forex, affiliate marketing, adsense blogging or all those nonsense.

Since you already have a laptop and modem, I advice you to learn graphics designing. That way, you can design posters for people on weekends.

Or if you can type fast, go from school to school, tell them you can type and print their examination questionaires for them at a cost.

I wish you success my friend. Don't ever be tempted to sell your laptop o! Lol

There are several opportunities both online and offline,but first you need to aquire a skill that will benefit you on both platform...Now,in as much as you are searching for that job,use your time to the fullest,to aquire a skill in areas you are passionate about e.g graphics,coreldraw,photoshop etc, fashion design,computer apprecition,driving,photography etc.

On the online front,there are so many areas you can earn from. You have a laptop and modem,cool.
But first,you need training....to succed in ur training,i think you'll have to:
1.make google ur best friend
2.make nairaland you buddy,dude all the info u want,u'll get it here.
3.be ready to spend on e.books.
4.get the right mentor and be ready to follow instructions.

Now what can u do with ur laptop?
1.online business: freelancing,expired domain biz,bulk sms,information marketing and online importation. If you have gained knowledge on d above and practiced it,its time to set up seminars both offline and online and make cool ballery. From my point of view,d above online businesses i highlighted are the main deal.focus on these areas and ur life will never remain the same.

Wow,on the offline front,a skill in 1.photography,video coverage and editing is a great deal. Your sure to make cool lalas every week taking photographs durings events in ur area. I could give u tips on this,however ,u will need a digital camera.
2.trade: you can sell stuffs you've imported online.The Okrika biz is also a goldmine.
3.have u thought of tailoring? Learn dis if u have the passion for d fashion world.

Good responses @ Jangabanthelion & Fried plantain (though I didn't quote you).

I had a 2.2 but I think I can look back and say I have tried for myself. These are some of the things I did and I'm not saying it will work same way for everybody but hey say LUCK is when OPPORTUNITY meets PREPAREDNESS.

1. I prepared hard for aptitude tests - I actually started preparing during my youth service even before I started applying for jobs.
2. I added a higher degree - Luckily, I got a job not too long after my service. I had started a masters degree but had to abandon it since I had to change location. I started another masters program in an area that is in my list of future interests and completed it.
3. I am still developing myself - 19 years after graduation but I'm still reading. one additional MSc (making 2) a couple of Certificates/diplomas (not two weeks classes o) with serious demanding online learning contents.

One last thing is that I never really felt comfortable with myself. I could afford not to bother about 2 and 3 above because my first salary (per month o) was more than what either of my parents got as gratuity payment (roughly 3 years' salary) after serving government for >30 years. However, it was not enough to make me forget myself. That salary has grown in exponentials but I'm still improving myself.

Again, maybe that's my own way of keeping myself happy so it may not apply to everyone.
