Why is Peter Obi always selective on which issue to react to most especially anything bad news.

TheBizGenius: Firstly, I am going to answer you based on the assumption that your questions were asked for informational purposes and were not asked from a sarcasm point of view.
1. As someone who owns a couple of properties (seriously hoping to divest) and have friends who are in the same shoe, alausa is not the best place to process land issues. Yet! For every advancement they make towards this, current land owners and people who intend to acquire more, it's a welcome development.
2. For every system, there are people trying to find loopholes. BVN and NIN only captures money in the banks. Most people here in Nigeria launder money by domiciling them by buying landed properties. That's one area efcc could not touch before now. It's the same way they tried to do the same with NFTs and Crypto.
3. How can landed documents be always documented? If it was, you wouldn't have people go to court over landed properties. Duuuuhhhh. Properties are passed down through generations that creates avenues for scheming people to come in and claim things ALL BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT ALL CAPTURED. YET!
But I understand when people like you assume most of these things had been in operation before now. It's like a company with 20 people just employing an HR staff and someone like you wonder, "Didn't they have one before?"
I hope I explained myself.
Thanks. 1. I did not ask you if you own properties or if your friends own properties. that is not my business. I also do not remember asking you about Alausa. what I asked is this: before this initiative, was it impossible for individuals and businesses to use their landed properties to access directly from the bank? 2. so what happened to all the BVN and NIN? where they not initiated to enable efcc track stolen funds? how well has efcc used BVN and NIN to stop corruption? 3. were landed properties not always documented? simple yes or no |

TheBizGenius: For anyone who cares to process this;
1. Person's benefit? Business wise, with proper documentation, you will be able to use your land to access loans directly from the bank.
2. Government's benefit? Tracking of stolen funds by tying properties to people so that efcc can now ask how one person accumulated all of it.
3. State's benefit? In Africa, documented lands gives peace of mind which leads to more people wanting to acquire such which leads to influx of rich people into your state. And, of course, you can now be taxed appropriately. Lol.
Since all the stakeholders have their benefits, the initiative will fly, for sure. 1. before this initiative, was it impossible for individuals and businesses to use their landed properties to access directly from the bank? 2. so happened to all the BVN and NIN? where they not initiated to enable efcc track stolen funds? 3. were landed properties not always documented? |

autoez: No, Tinubu did not because he will not reverse his policies despite the 2024 protests, but this reflects his commitment to long-term economic stability over short-term popularity. His May 1, 2025, speech acknowledged the hardships, rising living costs, unemployment, and insecurity, but framed them as necessary pains of reform. He argued that reversing course would risk a deeper collapse, citing the unsustainable fuel subsidies and fiscal deficits inherited from past administrations. Data shows progress: reserves grew from $4 billion in 2023 to over $23 billion by late 2024, and revenue hit N6 trillion in Q1 2025. These as signs the economy is on a corrective path, prioritizing national survival over immediate relief, trusting Nigerians’ resilience to carry through the transition. Aren't you seeing the significant changes already? that means that people were complaining not because they were lazy but simply because tinubus singlehandedly created hardship and suffering for nigerians. 1. is tinubu going through these "pains of reforms"? 2. is there any section of the constitution that permits a president to put nigerians through pain because of reforms? 3. how was fuel subsidy unsustainable? 4. if you say tinubu inherited fiscal deficits, who will inherit the debts from all the loans he has been borrowing? 5. if you say "reserves grew from $4 billion in 2023 to over $23 billion by late 2024, and revenue hit N6 trillion in Q1 2025. These as signs the economy is on a corrective path", how has that reflected in better standard of living for nigerians? 6. Yes I am seeing "significant changes". things have become expensive. is there any other "significant changes" you are seeing? 7. tinubu, his vice, members of the national assembly, ministers, the security chiefs, governors, and their families all enjoy free food, free accommodation, free health care, free electricity, free transportation, free clothing, free security, free phone calls, free data, free newspapers all at home and abroad. how is this "prioritizing national survival over immediate relief"? |

autoez: When I mentioned that Nigeria's economy is on the right path, I was reflecting on recent developments and reforms that seem to be steering things in a positive direction, based on what’s been shared publicly. Let me break it down for you. The "right path" I refer to suggests an economy that’s showing signs of stabilization and growth, with efforts to address long-standing issues. For instance, recent data and statements from President Tinubu’s administration, including his May 1, 2025, speech and his May 29, 2025, second-anniversary address, highlight progress like a narrowing fiscal deficit (from 5.4% of GDP in 2023 to 3.0% in 2024), increased revenue (over N6 trillion in Q1 2025), and a rise in external reserves from $4 billion in 2023 to over $23 billion by the end of 2024. These steps, including the removal of fuel subsidies and tax reforms, are presented as moves to build a more sustainable economic foundation, despite the initial hardships. As for when the economy was on the "wrong path," it’s hard to pin an exact date, but many point to years of reliance on unsustainable policies like decades-long fuel subsidies and a corruption-ridden multiple exchange rate system which drained resources and hindered growth. This isn’t about blaming one person or administration alone; it’s a cumulative challenge from various leaders and systemic issues over time, including periods before Tinubu’s tenure. The "wrong path" was characterized by high debt service ratios (nearly 100% of revenue in 2022), inflation, and an economy vulnerable to global shocks, as Tinubu himself noted in his speeches, describing the pre-reform state as a "chokehold" on Nigeria’s future. Regarding your question about Tinubu being lazy, no, that’s not what I meant at all! My original comment about "lazy people complaining" was a general observation, not aimed at him or anyone specific. It was more about encouraging resilience amid tough times, not a judgment on the President. Tinubu’s speeches, like the one on May 1, 2025, acknowledge the difficulties (rising living costs, unemployment, insecurity) but frame his reforms as necessary to avoid a worse collapse, runaway inflation, debt default, and fuel shortages. He’s actively pushing policies, which shows effort, not laziness. I’m not an economist, and this is based on the administration’s own reports and public sentiment. The "right path" is still a work in progress, and not everyone feels the benefits yet, that’s fair to point out. I’d love to hear your thoughts or concerns too, as this is a complex topic, and we can all learn from each other. 1. What are the signs of stabilization and growth you are referring to? 2. What are the long standing issues and what are the efforts you say are being made to address them? 3. How does “a narrowing fiscal deficit (from 5.4% of GDP in 2023 to 3.0% in 2024), increased revenue (over N6 trillion in Q1 2025), and a rise in external reserves from $4 billion in 2023 to over $23 billion by the end of 2024” suggest that the Nigerian economy is on the “right path”? 4. How has this reflected in better standard of living for Nigerians? 5. How does the removal of fuel subsidies and tax reforms equate to moves to build a more sustainable economic foundation, despite the initial hardships? 6. If you sat that there are “initial hardships”, is tinubu going through the hardships? 7. Who and what caused the hardship? 8. You can put a date to when Nigeria was on the wrong path. Wale Edun, the minister of Finance did just that: The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Chief Olawale Edun has said the last time Nigeria’s economy looked stable was about a decade ago.
He made this statement during his maiden press conference as Minister of Finance where he outlined President Bola Tinubu’s vision, agenda and strategy for the economy.
He said, “I think as we all know, we are not where we should be. The economy is barely growing above the rate of population growth.
“But it was not always so, and I think in trying to look at the way forward, if we now have a situation of slow growth, double-digit inflation, weak/depreciating exchange rate, as well as security concerns that are resulting in an economy that is not growing and not taking Nigerians out of poverty.
“If we think back to the last time when the economy was stable- when it was growing, when inflation was low, and the interest rate was affordable, that period was about a decade ago. Growth was about 6% in 2013 and 2014.” Private sector to drive the economy
https://nairametrics.com/2023/09/01/the-last-time-nigerias-economy-was-stable-was-about-a-decade-ago-wale-edun/ 9. How was fuel subsidies and multiple exchange rate system unsustainable policies? 10. How did they drain resources and hindered growth? 11. Its been two years tinubu discontinued these policies. How much growth has been recorded, what resources have been saved and more importantly, how has it impacted positively in the living standard of Nigerians? |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Foreign Volunteers Killed In Russian Missile Strikes In Ukraine (Photo) by lexy2014: 8:41pm On Aug 12, 2025 |
CaseSensitive: Good questions and I'll answer them as shortly as I can.
The war is essentially a war between Russia and NATO but being fought on Ukrainian soil. Ukraine here is a proxy. Just like USA used Israel to launch an unprovoked attack against Iran recently. The West - (America, Britain etc) has been pushing Ukraine towards this goal gradually over the years, maybe since the end of the 2nd world war, the goal is to reshape public consciousness of Ukrainians to be Anti-Russia, even though they share more than border, they share deep interwoven history. USA once promised Russia that NATO would not move an inch eastwards (towards Russia), but they have assimilated Russia's closest neighbours (Latvia, Estonia etc) into NATO. At the Bucharest Summit in 2008, NATO leaders said "Ukraine will eventually join NATO". Which Russia rightly opposes. Though it can be argued that Ukraine is a sovereign nation who has the right to choose its allies but dinning with the West against a super power (Russia) as a neighbour is dangerous. It's more like - If you want to keep your enemy under control, make friends with its neighbour. Think of it this way, if Russia is a member of a military alliance similar to NATO, USA will have something to say if Russia extends membership to its neighbours like Mexico or Canada. That's part of what I meant in that sense that Zelensky is a puppet. I'll recommend a book called "The Inevitable - The Shocking Truth Behind The War in Ukraine" by Diana Panchenko.
To your second question, NATO hasn't tested any conventional weapon in Ukraine prior to the war, but American Britain and Canada has been training Ukrainian army years before the invasion, essentially preparing them for war against Russia. The massive weapons transfers people see now only began after Russia invaded in 2022, when NATO Allies have provided 99% of all military aid that Ukraine has received.
To your last question, The war could have been avoided through dialogue, Russia warned and warned, initially, the war could have been avoided if USA honour its word by not encircling Russia, let alone preparing Ukraine to join NATO. It's a threat to Russia's national security. If your enemy encircles you unprovoked, you will bite, it's common sense. Thank you for your response. I appreciate. 1. According to you “The West - (America, Britain etc) has been pushing Ukraine towards this goal gradually over the years, maybe since the end of the 2nd world war”. The second world war ended in 1945. At that time, there Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. It was one large country made up of many countries including Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Latvia, Belarus, Estonia and a few other countries. The Soviet Union collapsed in 1991. How then was the west pushing Ukraine toward being a military launch pad against Russia after world war 2 when both Ukraine and Russia were part of the Soviet Union up until 1991? 2. can you tell me when the USA once promised Russia that NATO would not move an inch eastwards (towards Russia)? 3. why is Ukraine dinning with the West against a super power (Russia) as a neighbour dangerous? 4. Finland shares border with Russia. Finland decided to join NATO after Ukraine was attacked by Russia. If preventing Ukaine from joining NATO was Putins reason for attacking Ukraine, why did he not attack Finland to also prevent NATO expansion right to its border with Finland? 5. you said that “NATO hasn't tested any conventional weapon in Ukraine prior to the war” but earlier, you claimed that CaseSensitive: Play stupid games, earn stupid prize. This is the prize you get for being a puppet and allowing NATO use your country as a weapon testing ground. Now you're gradually conceding the country to Russia. This is a war that could have been avoided before it even started. Are you contradicting yourself or are you trying to misinform others? 6. When did US ever promise not to encircle Russia? 7. Do you actually know the geography and the size of Russia before you came up with your claim of US “encircling” Russia? 8. How would ever been possible for US to “encircle”? 9. What was US going to “encircle” Russia with? |

It’s also ok for some of you to never acknowledge that fact, that’s the beauty of democracy, bitter people who can’t cope with loss deny what they see all the time. do you understand the questions? 1. can you name the people that did the staging? 2. if you say that tinubu is "doing a good job", how has tinubu successfully tackled corruption, nepotism, cronyism, hunger, unemployment, hardship, poverty, inflation, wasteful government spending, budget padding, insecurity, bad governance, failing public infrastructure, poor medial services and falling standard of education? |

According to him: “The theme demands our collective attention and serves as a stark reminder of the need to create an environment where every worker feels safe, valued, and empowered to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our nation. As your President, I assure you that this administration is committed to creating such an environment for the common good.”

Tinubu said: “I am aware of the peculiarities of the economic hardship Nigerians face—rising living costs, hunger, insecurity, unemployment, and the loss of livelihoods. These challenges are real and demand definitive solutions, which I am poised to address as your President.
