Will the exchange rate for direct transfer to a bank account in tnrc be cheaper to the use of naira master card abroad
penroll55:
If this will really hold then the best option will be direst transfer from Nigeria to your account in TRNC or via western union
TravelRe: North Cyprus by lexycool01(m): 12:42pm On Dec 20, 2015
I Got this info online and i would like you all to advice on how to survive as we plan to leave for TNRC
lexycool01:
BANKS TO STOP USE OF ATM ABROAD
Deposit Money Banks have commenced a process to stop all customers from using their payment cards, popularly known as Automated Teller Machine cards, for dollar-denominated transactions when they travel abroad with effect from January 1, 2016.
SUNDAY PUNCH’s investigation also revealed the banks would not allow their customers to use naira-denominated ATM cards locally for transactions denominated in forex.
This means bank customers will not be able to use their cards to buy products from foreign e-commerce sites like e-bay and amazon.com in which payments are made in forex.
The development follows the lingering scarcity of foreign exchange, especially the dollar, to settle obligations arising from customers’ use of the ATM cards for forex-denominated transactions.
Already, Standard Chartered Bank has notified its customers that from January 1, 2016, they will not be able to use their naira-denominated ATM cards for transactions that are denominated in foreign currencies, either locally or when they travel abroad.
In a notice to its customers, Standard Chartered said, “This is to notify you that from January 1, 2016, your naira card will no longer be enabled for international use. This is as a result of the limited foreign exchange supply in the financial market.”

I got 5 wrist watches some time ago from the post office and i saw different prices written bold on them with tempo by staffs of the post office. The amount varies from N300 to N100 on those items which i was told to pay to clear them. After paying them all this the post man then asked for his normal bribe.

My questn is : is it normal practice to pay again after paying for the items on aliexpress

not difficult questions..
straight forward questions...

*where are you travelling to
*course of study
*check for your name in the slip then sign close to your name

*finally where is ur 10k naira. (visa fee)

*come in one week time for your passport.

This was how it went then (late February). but i don't know if there have been some changes in the policy now.
During that time there was a change because i was expecting to collect my visa the next day or two days after, but to my surprise i was asked to come back in one week time. of which the previous batch of last year (fall semester) collected theirs the next day or in two days.

As for refusal, i some people where in that category. but if your applications is in order, then you are on the right track.

Ensure that the school has sent your name to the embassy. If not, straight deportation at the POE . this happened to my house mate, so he went back to Nigeria to wait for the school to send his name to the embassy. then he latter came back wen all was settled. (A lot was wasted {time|money}) so before u even go to the embassy ensure that all your docs, applications is in place.

just package all the required documents well, ensure that the school has sent your name to the embassy. Ensure that you have authenticated your results in the ministry of education, your sponsorship letter have been notarized, you bank statement in the right order. Your acceptance letter, and your receipt of payment. With this and all other required documents in place u have no shaking.

Bro i would enlighten me more on this d.o.b too cuz am having the same issue. My olevel result both waec and neco don't have any column indicating my date of birth and am kinda confuse when i heard dat 4rm u. Is d.o.b on ur result or where did u c dat
adexbaba010:
hi guys about the d.o.b things! All of my doc carries a particular d.o.b except my waec result. I have affidavit stating that it was a mistake. I went for interview bt the guy did not say anything about it. when he asked for any question i thought of asking him if i need to drop the affidavit but i reason that i should not just cos katakata for myself by calling his attention to it. But at end, he advised that i upload some doc on my e-service account cos they were not there yet and this include the waec cert. am i in any mess yet?
TravelRe: North Cyprus by lexycool01(m): 8:37pm On Jun 05, 2015
I don't get the issue of notarisation of sponsor's letter. Is there a place to do that and finally how much money do i need in my sponsors account number.
Thanks

@ wip
my cousin applied for emu admission on the online platform and secured admission. he made a mistake in typing wrong graduation date for his secondary school, . Aside that he used his parent as sponsor during course of registration and now he wants to use that of his uncle for securing visa at embassy.
His fear is that he is unsure weither the information he filled online would be sent to the embassy alongside with the documents uploaded.
Thanks
