Medical begins tomorrow. Some candidates will be screened out tomorrow too based on Documents presentation. Screening dis time is a bit light compared to course 45. Good weather for us tho batch 2 go hear am. Total candidates present roughly 680. To God be the glory.

Can't possibly be 680, that is like an average of 18 per state. Meanwhile someone said d least state is Imo with 27

You don’t know b4?

It's difficult coming to terms with that. You loose 20% of your men to training. You loose greater number to Boko Haram. Quite pathetic.

The cemetery is for NDA cadets.

So it's very true that 15 - 20% of cadets are expected to die during training then and at such cemetery is needed. It is well.

Anyone that read through senator Ndume careful assessment of the state of the army will no we are in a deep shit. When he found out that quite a number of soldiers were KIA, he urge the army to employ more soldiers to consolidate those on ground to fight the war. Now they wanna use 150million naira to construct another cemetery. Does this mean we should expect to loose more gallant officers in the coming days

I pity this country, sincerely. A politician can easily divert 100 billion naira. On the wiki page, Kenya that is not that ravaged by war has 5 of these Mil Mi-28 since 2012. Yet, we keep wasting lives complaining of inadequate fund. We can't know the gravity of what is on ground now only the families that lost breadwinners do

Bro, it's really a complicated situation. Ugo understands.

But I really wish I didn't apply. I'm praying now that name doesn't come out, infact I'm fasting about it. My God will not let my name come out.

While we are still waiting for the list, I think we can help ourselves deal with the anxiety a bit, by familarising ourselves with some salient and covert matters about the Nigerian Army, that will help some of us prepare ourselves very well for the system we are about to dive into.

And for some others, may be they will consider withdrawing from the whole process after getting to know one or two things that they never knew about the system, and give chance to those who are truly ready for this thing.

No more wasting of valuable spaces again by those who will later withdraw along the way. Have I spoken well?

By the way, I think we should talk about masochism and sadism in the Nigerian Army.

Yes you have. I'm seeing many new things which if I had known before August, I wouldn't have applied.

Human life is precious. It is highly insensitive for any officer to publicly proclaim that they expect certain percentage of human being to die off. I swear, Nigeria is a jungle, that's why a supposedly educated human being will spill such words from his mouth.

As per your lie lie research info, do you think we are kids here? So if someone should tell you more Americans die in army training than in actual combat you will believe such naked lie? For your information, the commandant of any American basic military training institution will answer questions if any human being die in training. If the death is not by accident, anybody responsible for such death, will be punished. Even in combat actions, field commanders have no right to jeopardize the life of soldiers under them. Do you think America is a banana republic like Nigeria?

Lollllz.

One research revealed than more american soldiers die during training than in combat zones. Even Gen. Agim, former Defence Headquarters spokesman testified that the Nigerian Army expect 15-20 percent of cadets to die during training each year. Joining the army no be play o. Always zero your mind and prepare for the worst. Just be prepared to go in as a dead man, and if God is on your side you may be lucky to come out alive. Gentlemen, may our days be rough.

Bros nah

What is this about zero ur mind as a dead man nah.

Seems the army are now importing living souls from their families and exporting dead souls back to them. Even if we zero our mind as dead people common we have a family that will suffer the pain of the demise.

Being accused of boasting is what is making hold brakes to certain things. But if you want us to go ballistics two can play, that you come from a military family or stay in the barracks don't mean you fully have a grasp of the operational modalities of the military. Moreover I have seen children of military officers that are totally disinterested in anything concerning the military.

I've being opportuned to sit in boards chaired by senior airforce officers(IHFS) and directors from Triax engineering services (owned by Arthur Eze) responsible for buying aircrafts and parts for the NAF, and I have commendation letter from NAF(if you want I'll post it here). It's not about being boastful, is having access to info on workings of the military.
I FYI I never said army doesn't need helicopters, my point has always being clear, what we need at the interim is light attack/transport helos, not Mi35s Apahes. Not all missions require use of helos especially when your enemies have the weapons to bring any low flying aircraft down, or you think there won't be breifing/planning which includes knowledge of your enemies weapon systems before any mission.
We don't even have enough funds to maintain the combat helos in NAF inventory, talkmore of the army.

Ugo pls I need to have a discussion with you on phone, I urgently need your advice on an important issue.

It's wrong to lay the blame entirely on the army. What most of us don't understand is that the Army and military imextension is not a revenue generating organisation, they have to depend on politicians(Executive/legislature) to make proper laws and provide funding for the military.
Moreover the army in recent years trained some helicopter pilots, they're currently doing their type rating overseas. Go check the budget for the military last year and how much was eventually released you will realise that we're facing a hydra-headed problem due to unnecessary beaureocracy and corruption at the top echelon especially from the political class.
The so much hyped "theiving Generals" can only steal when funds is made available in the first place, which could be checkmated when forensic auditing is done by relevant agencies.

Exactly. The politicians are carting away the money while the army keeps begging for funds, meanwhile as we wait, lives are being wasted.

They always have the money. The truth is some elements want the war to continue, they are making a whole lot of money from it at the expense of some officers lives, whereas their own families are in London, Paris, Dubai, New York et Al. flexing. May God save this country from absolute collapse.

If the army needs Combat helicopter, why not give it the Bleep to them. They said they will end the war in 15mins if Provided with their own combat helicopter, then why deny them this for years and we keep wasting the life of our soldiers. This is why you believe this war has more of politics.
