I want you to know that you are not the only one feeling pressurised by your family.I feel it too,likewise anyother girl that has graduated from school.The society feels the next thing you should do is to enter a man's house whether you like him or not,just get married.But the truth is that after wedding,you will be strictly on your own,nobody will be there to help you solve your marital problems.


Thank goodness,you and your guy are both graduates.Please give him a little time.Fromwhat I see here,he truly loves you.Even financially stable men are afraid to propose to a woman,but he had the guts to do it even as he has nothing .Trust me,he is scared of loosing you.

I also want to add that if you guys feel you can't take it anymore,or that age is nolonger on your side as a woman(just guessing),then you guys should give yourselves target.Yes two of you should cometogether and say "We are getting married on this date e.g 4th October 2014"

Once you both agree with one mind,you will be surprised how everything will fall into place,look for a job,cut down on irrelevant expenses,start saving,trust me when both famillies sees that you both are serious,they would show their support.


Better to follow your heart than to get married and your mind will be somewhere else.

I understand u completely as I used to hate my dad however, I stood my ground on some issues and tried to think and see things from his point of view while removing the negative tone and delivery of his message....u could try this with your mum and hope it helps your relationship with her.
