The General Overseer of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry, and founder of Mercy Television, Warri, Delta State, Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin, had a crusade in Bayelsa which made history in the state, as over a 100,000 of worshippers including a once notorious kidnapper who gave his life to Christ.

The crusade was held at the Ox Bow Lake, Bayelsa state. According to the people in Bayelsa, never in the history of the state has any prophet or politician been able to gather massive crowd to fill the arena to the brim.

The 4-day crusade theme: ‘Supernatural Encounter’ records unbelievable testimonies and miracles as a once notorious kidnapper who was shot on his left leg by his co-kidnapper while trying to kidnap his victim got healed.


The kidnapper who has been unable to walk for 2 years and ten months after the incident was located through prophecy by Owomowomo 1, Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin. The repentant kidnapper received Christ as his personal saviour, was healed and was blessed with the sum of N200,000. Other healings received were the eradication of cancer, the blind seeing, the deaf heaing, the lame walked.

OAP, Daddy Freeze has called out the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, to a debate.

Daddy Freeze, who is known for being a staunch critic of payment of tithe and offerings in the Church. He shared a photo via his Instagram account, of a banner of RCCG that said:

” Don’t be a robber!
Pay your tithe”


He captioned the photo:

"And they say pastors don’t hold guns to member’s head, please can someone explain what is RCCG doing in this picture?

Tithe is a false doctrine for Christianity, I have proven this scripturally several times! Christ never collected tithes, neither did his disciples!

I have challenged Enoch, to a debate on several times to no avail. If he doesn’t want a debate, we can sit over a beer and discuss these scriptures and I can offer to teach him the real truth about Christ for free!"

Prince Owabie from Rumueperikom community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State was arrested by the Rivers state Police command for allegedly killing and burying his pregnant girlfriend inside his apartment.

According to reports, he killed Better Ozige Nwabueze on Sunday and buried her inside his one-room apartment around Wimpy Junction, by Ikwerre Road in Portharcourt. He was arrested on Tuesday, by policemen.

The suspect told some of his friends what he did and they alerted the police who moved in and arrested him. He was taken to the State Criminal Investigative and Intelligence Department (SCIID). At the time of the report, the body of the slain pregnant lady has not been exhumed from the suspect’s apartment.

Actor and comedian, Kevin Hart, announced via his Instagram account that he’ll be hosting the 91th Academy awards in February 2019. He said:

"For years I have been asked if I would ever host the Oscars and my answer was always the same. I said that it would be the opportunity of a lifetime for me as a comedian and that it will happen when it’s supposed to. I am so happy to say that the day has finally come for me to host the Oscars.

I am blown away simply because this has been a goal on my list for a long time…To be able to join the legendary list of [hosts] that gave graced that stage is unbelievable. The Prince of Wales, Prince Charles, arrived Lagos yesterday for an official visit.

He was received by the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Mrs. Idiat Adebule, officials of the United Kingdom Consulate and security chiefs.

His visit to Lagos is in continuation of his three-day business and cultural tour of Nigeria and also to mark the 75th Anniversary of the British Council in Nigeria.

The prince didn’t just grace the former heads of state, presidential candidates, leading politicians, and stars from the world of fashion, music and the arts with his presence but he also showed them how good he is in speaking pidgin.

At the British Deputy High Commissioner’s residence, he said “How una dey” which means ‘how are you doing’ and also said he was pleased to be back in “Lasgidi” (Lagos). He said:

"I find it hard to believe that nearly 30 years have passed since I first came to this city.

As they say, ‘God don butta my bread’ (God has blessed me).

If life dey show you pepper, make pepper soup."

French bishops have announced plans to establish an “independent” commission to look into the sexual abuse of minors within the Catholic Church dating back as far as 1950.


The Conference of French Bishops said in a statement yesterday that the appointed panel would “seek to understand the reasons which led to the way these cases were handled.”

The conference pledged to publish a report outlining the commission’s findings within two years. Details, including the name of the person spearheading the investigation, will be announced in the coming days.

The statement came as French bishops held their plenary assembly in the holy French city of Lourdes, where they received a support from Pope Francis, according to Vatican News.

In the message, signed by the Cardinal Secretary of State, Pietro Parolin, the Pope encouraged the bishops to “continue to implement a ‘zero tolerance’ stance against sexual abuse committed by members of the Church.”

The Pope has spoken of his shame over the “appalling crimes” committed in recent decades and called for forgiveness from those who had suffered. He said meeting with sexual abuse survivors in Ireland in August had had a “profound effect” on him.

In September, the US Catholic bishops’ conference issued a dramatic apology for the role bishops played in the church’s abuse scandal and announced new initiatives to hold abusive or negligent bishops accountable.

The administrative committee of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops in a statement:

"Some bishops, by their actions or their failures to act, have caused great harm to both individuals and the Church as a whole.

They have used their authority and power to manipulate and sexually abuse others. They have allowed the fear of scandal to replace genuine concern and care for those who have been victimized by abusers."

Last month, the Catholic diocese in San Jose, California, released the names of 15 former priests who were credibly accused of sexual abuse with children.

Prince of Wales, Prince Charles, who is currently in Nigeria with his wife, Camilla, was presented with the Nigerian jersey by former Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo.

Yesterday the Prince arrived Lagos, where he received the jersey during his reception at the United Nations Deputy High Commissioner’s office.

The football jersey which had HRH and 70 printed on the back was given to him ahead of his 70th birthday.
