Thank you aaffluent.

PMP is about the most recognised certification in the Project Management space. I will try sending to them as advised.

ACS can assess certifications in as much as there’s transcript for it or it’s a recognized certificate like Cisco or Microsoft. However, send copy of your certificates with transcript to ACS email and they will tell you. It has worked for people

I thought someone can remove his PGD to claim a Maximum work experience point and put it back while lodging IN for Visa?

I believe i have read something of that nature here but with Masters Degree?
Thank you, @DoDirtsLikeWorm

@TRed, This seems another angle to it, what do you think sir? If my PgDip won't count to fetch me additional points from education, can I just assess with HND (gotten 2008) instead and gain more from work experience. Please advise how my score will likely look like with this.

Thanks

Kindly respond to these questions;

1. What are the dates on your certifications i.e. PMP & ITIL?
2. What is the duration of your PgDip in IT?
3. What is the percentage of ICT content of the Course?
4. Are the course contents related to the anzco units found here -->> http://www.acs.org.au/msa/anzsco-code-information.html ?
Thank you TRed

1. PMP - 2013, ITIL - 2015
2. PgDip = 1 year (2 semesters)
3. ICT Content = 83.333% (10/12 courses are IT related)
4. Some are related, but not 100%

(I took the following courses
1 Computer Fundamentals
2 Micro Computing And Www
3 Application Software Design And Multimedia
4 Information Technology And Software Development
5 Introduction To Internet
6 The Good Study Guide
7 Foundation Of Information And Communication Technology
8 Computer Networks
9 Computer Programming
10 Operating System Concepts
11 Operations Research
12 Project
)

Based on the advice, I think a good point is to even start with an English test. If I am able to claim 20-point, I might be better off with ICT PM, otherwise, I will consider IT CS.

Thank you.

@Lifted0902,

Wait for the ACS guys to advise you. How, I am not sure you will get a positive assessment as an ICT project manager. Go through the ICT occupations and identify any other IT occupation that matches your skills.

If ICT project manager is appropriate, the ACS people will sure advice. Be patient.
ICT Project Manager is exactly what I have been doing for the 8-years and still doing. I also have 2 certifications (PMP - Project Management Professional and ITIL - Information Technology Infrastructure Library) in that space as well, but I read somewhere on this thread that ACS doesn't grade professional certifications hence the decision not to list them on the previous post.

A few occupations I think are close to what also do are ICT Managers nec (135199), ICT Business Analyst (261111) both of which seems very competitive as well.

Good day All,

Do one stand a chance of being nominated if your occupation (Mine is Materials Engineer) is not listed in any of the regions skilled occupation list ?

Thank you
I think you will just have to look for one with JD similar to do in your current role.
