Praise the Lord , finally Got the email from the embassy and will be going to pick it up this friday as they say they wont be going for holiday. want to use this opportunity to thank the good people of Nairaland for their good advice and words of encouragement through out my trying times, though i viewed from afar and also recently knew the of forum just last month. By Gods grace i will be leaving Naija 2nd of next month to thuringia but i would like to know if any one in the house is around this state, i will be very glad if anyone is.
also to all Visa hopefuls, hang on there God is working in the background and very soon it will suffice. in my case it took 6 weeks to hear from the embassy.

I will advise you to keep ur application fee and use to buy enough data...to me your aim is not clear....from biz now conference..and if quizzed u will break...I can tell that from a 1000miles....

Guy I think you should forget about Germany issue now and concentrate on your studies, you still have many years to go,at 200l,it will still take you up to 5years for you to have your NYSC certificate on your hand, things may not be the same in Germany concerning admission procedures at that time, although noting is wrong with someone having ambition.

Is NYSC Certificate a prerequisite to studying in Germany? I think it's proper to plan ahead. With this kinda zeal, by the time he applies for admission he might be on level B1 of the language (if he chose to take it seriously) and could even apply for a DAAD scholarship. Bro, I believe you are doing the right thing. Planning won't hurt your grades...

took 3 weeks cos an appointment was first booked by my sponsor. Guess you can't just walk to the office and get it same day.

yes admission letter is required. Of course the name of the school would be written on the admission letter. But if by "it" you are referring to the sponsorship letter, then the answer is NO, they didn't write the name of my school on MY OWN sponsorship letter...

Sponsorship letter applicants...it's another day of waiting o. I know the good news is coming on our way and every other applicants. Has any one who used a sponsorship letter gotten a visa yet...lets know the time difference although it may differ sha. Good luck.

@RoyalPurple I suggest you get in touch with the alien's office. Those of us (Sponsorship Letter Applicants) who have contacted them were made to understand that our documents have not been delivered to the alien's office.

I wrote them and they replied after 4 work days. Then I called them after their reply.

What is wrong with using a SPONSORSHIP LETTER?
Visa interview was held 25th August. Just this morning, the alien's office told me they only received my application electronically (from the embassy) on the 10th of September (16 days after interview) and that they are still waiting for the embassy to send my original documents to them (alien's office).

Panic mode activated as enrolment deadline is 14 days away...

All appointment has been fully booked. You will only hear from them when they are able to create some appointment dates but only on first come first serve basis but the appointment date will be late as all early dates are filled up.

Booked an appointment since Monday morning. Only for me to get a reply email from the German Embassy (after lodging a complaint) that my name is not in their system, that I should try again. I sent another email today, requesting an appointment. NO WORD STILL.

People please have they changed the booking email address? I used rk-visa105@lago.diplo.de

I doubt Unilag will accept issuing the letter. "to whom it may concern". You know them like money. I told the secretary at my department to use uni assist since they are a neutral body and then certified as many as possible. That's same one is what I have been using since last year.
Or just simply go to the ministry of education and get one without probs. And for your transcript, the name of the school should only appear on the cover letter. its actually not relevant in this case. yank the damn sheet off and exchange it for a ball of akara or you would be implicating yourself. Did you read what's addressed on it?

Or, if I may ask, is it permissible for someone with waec to travel to Germany to prepare for the entrance exam to studienkolleg? The person was born in Germany but is not a citizen. He was brought back to Nigeria while still an infant. But his dad has been in Germany for 25 years.

bro so sorry I'm just seeing this... The programme (Energy Law) I was admitted to is entirely taught in English so they didn't require proficiency in German. And I didn't take an English test either. Guess it depends on the language of instruction of the course to which you are applying (I'm talking about masters though).

Berlin will be your best bet and you dont have to go to lagos to book an appointment. Just send an email with your admission letter, passport page and sponsorship letter as an attachment.

Whatever school you are gonna pick do know enrolment deadline really matters because the embassy will require some weeks to process your visa.
So pls my advice is that u go to lagos embassy after uve gotten ur sponsorship letter IMMEDIATELY..
You said it will be ready this Monday.. Ma guy enter lag sharperly on Monday.. So that max Tuesday (EARLY MOMO!! I.E 6:30am) u should book your appointment.

As for the schools, I agree that both are good. But I'm also looking at the economic angle. Wish I could get the input of someone who has lived in Hannover.

Bro, I sent you an email. Please check. The enrolment deadline for both programmes is 30 September, 2015.

I really don't have solid information on the economic climate in Hannover. I have to factor this into my plans as the courses I was offered by both schools are of an equal footing.

Hello house. Please help out with candid advice... I have offers of admission from two universities in Germany:
1. TU BERLIN.
2. Leibnitz University Hannover

Ogas in the house, please advise me in terms of prospects of finding students work and life after graduating in those two cities. What is life like generally in Hannover especially?
