That was not possible because he allowed his personal ambition to over ride his judgment and followed POBJ words thereby giving Omehia the governorship ticket.
Amaechi after the elections went to court and he won through the court because the party and Omehia acted out of the party constitution.
So Odili could not continue to become a godfather to Amaechi because there was no existing good rapport and relationship between them.
And that is the beginning of a life long relationship between Amaechi, Wike, Magnus and Dakuku and it was only short lived because of the quarrel between Amaechi and the Jonathan's which resulted to the loss of PGEJ President re-election.
