The Federal government, Sunday, called for withdrawal of Peoples’ Democratic Party’s registration as a political party. The minister of Information and Culture, Alh. LA Mohammed made the call on Sunday at a press conference on the release of the abducted Dapchi School Girls held in Lagos.

The minister, who was reacting to the statement made by what he called Naysayers, the opposition PDP in particular to the release of the Dapchi girls, said, “What called for non-partisan celebrations was rather thoughtlessly turned into politics, bad, despicable politics that has no place in any democracy. “You are not unaware of the reaction of the naysayers – the main opposition PDP in particular – to the release of the Dapchi girls. “The party made itself a laughing stock within and outside Nigeria with that statement. Don’t they know that our international friends are involved in the process that led to the release of the girls? Indeed, there should be a new criterion for withdrawing the registration of a party like the PDP which has failed both as a ruling and an opposition party! If a party cannot rule and cannot be in opposition, what else can it do?” Alh. Mohammed, while, quoting the statement of the President when he received the Dapchi girls last Friday, said: ” May I warn against those elements who have chosen to make political fortune of our citizens’ misfortune. Government would not tolerate any attempt by any person or group to trivialize or politicize security issues for politically motivated ends”, adding that, “security agencies would not hesitate to decisively deal with such unscrupulous characters.” Number of girls abducted On the true number of girls abducted by the insurgents, the minister explained that a total of 111 girls were abducted from the Government Girls Secondary and Technical College (GGSTC) in Dapchi on the day of the abduction. An indication that one student was not captured on the list of 110 abducted students that was compiled by the school, on the basis of which the Federal Government gave the number of abducted schoolgirls as 110. He said also kidnapped were two other persons, who are not students of the college.


According to him, they include a primary school boy who came to the school to sell pure water and another primary school girl, bringing the total number of abducted persons on that day to 113. “So far, a total of 107 persons, comprising 105 Dapchi schoolgirls and the two non-students, have been released by the insurgents. “Six Dapchi schoolgirls are yet unaccounted for. All efforts will be made to secure their release,” he added.


How Dapchi Girls were freed On how the school girls were freed, Mohammed maintained that the release of the girls was unconditional. “As I have said at many fora, we neither paid ransom nor swapped any Boko Haram member to secure the release of the girls. “This is a fact, irrespective of how a section of the press has tried to spin the story. “The insurgents brought the girls back to the location of the kidnapping themselves as an apparent gesture of goodwill, following relentless efforts by the Government to find long-lasting solutions to the conflict.

How the insurgence were able to return the girls unattacked despite troops presence Speaking on how the insurgents returned the girls unchallenged by the troops, the minister said, “Unknown to many, we have been in wider cessation-of-hostility talks with the insurgents for some time now. The talks helped to secure the release of the police officers’ wives and the University of Maiduguri lecturers recently. And the talks did not stop thereafter. “We were able to leverage on the wider talks when the Dapchi girls were abducted. As I said earlier, the insurgents decided to return the girls to where they picked them from as a goodwill gesture. All they demanded was a ceasefire that will grant them a safe corridor to drop the girls. “This is not new.


Even in larger war situations, safe corridors are usually created for humanitarian and other purposes. Consequently, a week-long ceasefire was declared, starting from Monday, 19 March. That is why the insurgents were able to drop the girls. This counters the conspiracy theories being propounded in some quarters concerning why it was so easy for the insurgents to drop off the girls without being attacked by the military.” Why the Girls were Freed Early On why the girls were freed early, he said it was a response to President Buhari’s directives to the security operatives to swing into action for the release of the abducted girls.


“President Buhari put this in perspective when he said the response of his Administration is a marked departure from the attitude of the preceding administration in the aftermath of the kidnap of the 276 Chibok girls in 2014 “No stone was left unturned to secure the release of the girls. The President sent FG’s delegation twice to Dapchi and Damaturu, within four days, to engage in fact-finding and to condole with the government and people of Yobe State and the families of the abducted girls. “The President ordered the Service Chiefs and the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to take direct charge and brief him on a daily basis on the efforts to bring back the girls.

“The President ordered the re-strengthening of a Joint Operational Base involving relevant agencies and Services to coordinate the rescue mission. “The Nigerian Air Force maintained aerial surveillance of the area all through.” While thanking Nigerians for their support and prayers, Mohammed said, the government will continue with the ongoing efforts to account for the remaining six Dapchi girls, and indeed to bring back the remaining Chibok girls. “This Administration remains committed to the fight against terrorism and insurgency. The security services have since been directed to put in place further measures around all schools vulnerable to attacks to ensure the safety of pupils/students and teachers and school workers.


The President has also tasked all the security agencies to work to ensure that we do not witness any recurrence of these incidents.” He emphasized government’s position that while the military efforts are necessarily ongoing, it will remain willing to continue engaging in a meaningful dialogue which is not only about the release of hostages, but intended at a broader engagement on conflict mitigation. He also appealed to the media to be more discerning in disseminating materials that serve no other purpose than to sabotage the ongoing efforts to end the insurgency and secure the release of the remaining Chibok and Dapchi girls. Reacting to the news making the rounds concerning a supposed Sergeant in the Nigerian Army, named David Bako, who said he was part of an alleged conspiracy by the Government to abduct the Dapchi girls, the minister described the information as a disinformation and fake news, saying that there is no such soldier in Nigerian army. “I can tell you categorically that this David Bako is fake. “There is no such soldier in the Nigerian Army.


There was no conspiracy anywhere. The intention of those behind the disinformation and fake news is to cause disaffection between Christians and Muslims, and between Southerners and Northerners.” “This Administration’s success in seeking an early release of the Dapchi girls has ruffled many feathers. It has upturned a lot of plans by naysayers,” he added.

Information just sourced now: The boy OSULA Daniel was the same student that the former HOD of the Department of Civil Engineering has been using to undermine the person and office of the new HOD.

He was said to had always taken instructions from the former HOD to flout all official departmental instructions for sake of envy and jealousy of the former for the present.

Mr OSULA was said to be one of the final year students 2016/2017 session. He was reported to have unfortunately failed two final year courses;
CVE 515(taught by the current HOD) and CVE 514( taught by an Adjunct Associate Prof. from RSUST).

Given the level of disrespect the young man (Osula) had for the current HOD, he quickly wrote a petition to the Provost that the HOD had failed him deliberately because he refused to pay N200 for project defense entertainment, levied by the students themselves, collected by themselves and used for their own entertainment during the defense, the HOD was reported to have no hand in it).

The Provost reportedly sent the petition to the HOD and asked him to respond. The HOd within 24 hours from the receipt of the petition prepared his response and attached photocopies of Osula's marked booklet, the marking scheme and the question paper.

The Provost and the Dean studied and discovered that the young man (Osula) actually performed poorly in the exam (CVE515).

Mr OSULA was thereafter reportedly invited by the Dean and told the report of their findings.

He was then asked to return to take his failed courses again or write to the VC to recall his booklets for remarking.

The Dean told him that only the VC can recall his booklet for remarking.

He refused to adhere to the advice and felt the HOD was been supported by the Dean and Provost for reasons best known to him and the former HOD as reported.

Instead of writing to the VC as instructed or returning to take his courses again, he quickly went on Facebook to write volumes of epistles against the current HOD, the Dean, the Provost, the VC and the Governor.
He was also reported to have threatened the HOD terribly in all of the posts.

The attention of the HOD was drawn to it and he printed them and wrote to the VC seeking for Security support.

Reportedly, the VC then studied the facebook posts alongside the CSO(Delsu), saw merit in the allegation of threat to life and reported OSULA and the former HOD to the Police and the DSS. The matter was said to still be on.

Both of them had been invited many times but Osula refused to honor the dignifying invitations just to clarify himself since October 2017.

Mr OSULA was also warned by the University Mgt with a Letter to stop all his gross misconducts and stop threatening his HOD in October 2017.

Instead of heeding to the warning, he further continued writing unprintable things about the University for no just course.

This led to his being invited to Delsu Students Disciplinary Committee headed by the DVC(Admin). His HOD and the Dean were invited too.

The Committee requested for his reasons for peddling lies about the University, his HOD, Dean, Provost and VC on Facebook when he has not exhausted all the laid down internal mechanisms for conflict resolution and recalling of students' scripts for remarking.

He was asked why he would bully the Dean and Provost for not recalling his booklet when he refused to write appropriately to the VC and many other charges bordering on indiscipline and gross misconduct.

He was asked if the HOD had ever taken bribe from him or any other and he clearly said NO

The DVC Admin then thanked him for coming and asked him to go.

A Letter of Expulsion later, reportedly, came for Osula following his acceptance of breach of matriculation oath and gross misconduct at the panel.

Instead of appealing the verdict if he thought Mgt. was wrong, he continued writing lies and unprintable things against the HOD, the Dean, Provost and VC again which is the trending matter and some blogs are publishing it without verification

It was reported that his HOD was not his project supervisor... where then does the issue of bribe for project come in?.... he even made a B in the project as scored by the external examiner from Uniport.....as reported by informants close to the school.

He failed two courses and up till now Osula has not petitioned the other lecturer.
Why petition only the HOD?

He refused to write to the VC for the recall of his script for remarking and still complain to the public.

He refused to collect his warning letter issued by Mgt. since October 2017.

The VC on behalf of Mgt and following the recommendation of the Students' Disciplinary Committee expelled him. He can sue the school if he wishes rather than disturbing the peace of Nigerians and compounding his problems with worse derogatory publications that are all lies...the informants concluded.

-Yesterday, I made up my mind to leave. I could see the gimmicks the management of my university was scheming. I filed a petition and a complaint against my HOD after series of extortion, bully and threat. After announcing me the highest in his C.A, he went on to fail me. So invariably, I would have to spend 6 years to get a degree that originally requires 5 years to get done with.

The dean called me a month after my letter reached both him and the provost's office, just to tell me that by the authorities of the school, they don't have the power to request for my script or order a re-mark. This was after constantly visiting their office and they kept telling me to not worry that they are on top the situation.
It was obvious he was being remote to say the things he said. He constantly bellowed and yelled at me whenever I raised the issue of the irregularities with the C.A. How I was the highest with 22/30 and now see 25, 27, 29 etc, even for people who were absent during the test, with no make up test. And how he went on to score me a 17/70.

Apparently, it happens that my HOD has some connects with the state governor and other senior administrative offices and so is pulling strings.

I'm not shaken. I'm not moved. I've had to plan, replan, think and rethink, and I've made up my mind. Whatever happens after now, I know I told this story here first. I won't be easily bullied and I'll do everything within my power to get justice.

The last time I addressed this issue here, I got calls to pull the post down. Same way Emmanuel was fined to pay a hostel fee he didn't accommodate simply because he was visiting.

This constant bullying by the managements and top offices, lecturers, supervisors and anyone superior in whatever way would stop after me. Hopefully whatever action I am forced to take after now, Nigeria and Nigerians will bear me witnessed that I was pushed.

Again, a degree is not the yardstick for measuring success, and my resilience hard work and persistence will get me far. Should I decide to forfeit the entire certificate for this singular issue, things may turn out messy for everyone involved; me inclusive.

Where is the threat to life in this epistle and there is no evidence attached apart from the preceding verbiage you wrote up here. How sure am I that you are not one of the people behind this rot?

I'm simply asking for why the Organization would approve for the structuring of one their Kingdom Halls to be constructed in an obviously creepy manner like this. Whether they are treated badly or not is not the question. Baha'I Muslims are not being treated fairly by mainstream muslims in some part of the world (even to the point of killing them) so that's no point at all.

This is the creepiest thing I've ever seen in a long time.

A man on FB (presumably a Jehovah's Witness) was complaining that his cousin (whom he claims is based in Silkeborg, Denmark) sent him some screenshots of what he saw on Google Earth App when he searched for a nearby Kingdom Hall in Silkeborg, Denmark. On finding one located at Helsinkivej area, he saw staring at him this horrendous image that has kept him horrified for days (according to him).

1. A coil connected to a 250V, 50Hz supply takes a current of 10A at a phase angle of 30°. Calculate the resistance and inductance of the coil.


2. A coil having inductance of 0.2H and negligible resistance is connected in series with a 25Ω resistor. The circuit is energized from a 250V, 50Hz source. Calculate:

I. The current in the circuit
II. The P.D across the circuit
III The P.D across the resistor
IV The Phase angle of the circuit.
