Did the 40 yrs and 55 yrs old lady need visa to study or were they Canadians?....that's what u should consider...age might be a barrier when convincing the V.O that you are going to study ...you should be able to explain what u have been doing since your last degree...shouldn't be too hard for a 28 yr old..
The last has been the SSCE but i have been busy working with proofs but want to go for a 2 years diploma course at 28years old,so am thinking the age would be a barrier

Hope age is not going to affect my chances...Been 28years just going for a two years diploma course

IT to medicals?
My opinion, get an IT related course, apply and get ur admission letter. Use dat for ur visa processing.
U can switch to medicals when u get to canada
Provided ur av d background prerequisites.
Best of luck.
