cabaye: brother, no need to worry about finances, I heard a rumour that they would increase it by 5000 USD. if this is true, I would advise you to look at north east england university of Sunderland or Northumbria university.. they have courses that run from October January and September. the living expenses should also be affordable.just look for any related course and forget about your dream course. put it in mind that options are limited unless-

1. you pay for your accommodation as soon as you get your cas letter and Nddc funds covers your tuition when you applying for visa.

2. you may defer admission if its possible

I don't think they include the univ name...I too wana use another sch that is cheaper

cabaye: good morning, my doubting friends on naira land, there are some few things I want to point out today.

1. when someone feeds us with a rumour be it true/false we should appreciate and not slander the person. (scientist) this guy mentioned something about printing of scholarship letters which was funny but latter true. now I am looking for him to validate what my source has already confirmed.

2. @kurma , few weeks ago you mentioned something about calling an Nddc staff and he told you that they would contact successful scholars in some weeks time which is becoming true as we approach next week which is the grand finale.

3. I suspect that some people are hoarding news (medical folks rushing to do tb tests). God knows what you guys are afraid of. we all know that Nddc will not carry over this scholarships till next year .

4. as for those asking for accurate date, I was told that we should be expecting to hear from Nddc next week. if you want more proof on this, I have a number you guys confirm from if you want but you will agree that if you end up getting the scholarship. I will collect 1k from your scholarship money. agreed ?? Lol

guess we have to turn our attention towards GEJ and his crew...it is becoming clearer and clearer that he has not released funds to them this year..even after speedy passage of there budget by the national assembly..hmmmmm...hope this is not an act of stocking funds for 2015...chai politicians will always be who they are...God help us!

Well I just believe everything will work together for our good...monday is september already...maybe a good news by friday next week...God bless us all

Honestly,whether u like dis guy's ginger or not..the truth is NDDC have acted unfairly to us...no parameters for selection,every1 is waiting and praying...no assurance ..if u do noting it will be more painful when d list is out and some expectations are disappointed...as it stands no matter hw u try to take ur mind off..I n u all know we are waiting,anxiously..and when finally it comes our plans will surely be disrupted to either abandon what ur doing n travel or cry n move on...CHANGE only comes to those who desire it,u can not tell me that a govt agency is spending about 4.5million naira on each person n they won't. Say wat selection criteria is used..make d selection process open n transparent! U can see every1s name b4 test,but after that no names are made public again so u can't verify...God help Nigeria!

Benny247: It is indeed regrettably lugubrious that the board and management of NDDC has push us, if not to the wall but close to it. They are failing us already as the delay will not do us any good. After reading through all the contributions of all concerned as regards addressing the issue at hand.
I therefore want to suggest we do it with unionism as well as with a common goal so as to achieve not just the desire objective but also timely.
While I buy the various ideas or methods that have been put forward, I want us to copy from the Nigeria scholars in Russia that used a popular national newspaper 'Punch' and it got to all concerned quickly.
In the light of the forth going, can someone tell us how much it will cost us to write an open letter to the CEO, management and board with possibly national assembly in copy on Punch.
I will want us to perfect, make all necessary arrangement and conclude on a common ground on how to do all these, so that if they fail to contact us before Friday morning then we swift to action same Friday and make the open letter visible on punch on Monday.

nice! Life is about risk..we should take it..I think any1 close to the. PUNCH newspapers should try n find out..I dnt think it would cost anything..some editors n. Journalist are looking 4 what will sell their papers..talk more of this magnitude of a matter!

I Think am happy with the Unity in the House rather than we can continue to suffer in Silence - In Nigeria Silence is equal to death u know.
I would be writing to the House of Rep member for my constituency and the senate Rep for my constituency in this very week. The contents of the letter is very simple :

1. Requesting that the NDDC management either address a press conference or provide an official statement on the status of the 2014/2015 scholarship.
2. That the eventual list be made public else me i personally get the EFCC into this issue, since thats where the NDDC Board think they can continue to fool the public and engage in corrupt practices.
I only need an acknowledgement copy of my letters to the National Assembly members which is pretty easy as am not intrested in meeting them either.

I think each and everyone of us who doest want to keep building castles in the air should follow suite in addressing this issue to thier National Assembly - cos thats one very place this issue could be easily addressed.

Secondly, the morning radio and TV programmes(especially in PH, LAGOS and ABUJA) are channels for us to inform the public as everyone including the Board members all tune in to listen.

Thirdly, Its only a STITCH IN TIME THAT SAVES NINE. We must begin engaging this initiatives from now - no wasting time anymore - cos we have had more enough patience.

This would allow those incharge understand that students on scholarship cannot continue to resume late because of thier Non-challance. As u know some people have built bthier year around this scholarship so we must engage every wise initiative that is peaceful in achieving our goal

AttorneyLawz: Well for me , I just think in the absence of the NDDC management acting like an institution we need to help applicants next year by saving them of any heartache or HBP - cos this NDDC issue has broght in prophet and soothsayers assuring us that either thier name is in the list or that the list would be out only when God knows. If we take this issue out on the dailies and people are aware of this am sure even the National Assembly would be more than happy to help this NDDC Board that is running a different calender from the students it seeks to offer funds to

LATEST: It is now confirmed that the list will "definitely" be PUBLISHED in September. As the source said, it wont be something hidden at all. Delay is due to allocation of funds. We Stay Alive. It is a promise that all scholars will be sorted out irrespective of resumption dates.

Source : NDDC Representative, a lady I spoke about the last time I made a statement on this thread.
