IronGalaxy: Typical Nigerian self-aggrandizing nonsense..where's the source?
They're all over the internet creating fake videos, fake stories and fake outrage about South Africa. The funniest part is that after all the noise dies down, South Africans can still walk into most African countries, enjoy themselves, do business and go home. Meanwhile, some of the loudest propagandists will continue being deported, treated with suspicion or chased out because people have learned to separate reality from internet fantasy.
The irony is incredible. They market themselves as the "true Pan-Africanists", yet Africans themselves often see straight through the act. Nothing hurts a narcissist more than rejection.
One woman claimed her daughter had been molested by a South African. After people looked into it, it turned out to be another attention-seeking drama. Congratulations, she got the attention she wanted. Hopefully she's enjoying it.
Then there was the crowd posting about Ethiopians being murdered by South Africans, only for Ethiopians themselves to step forward and explain that many of the killings were linked to conflicts between Ethiopian groups and criminal networks. Imagine being corrected by the very people you're pretending to defend.
And now we're told our goalkeeper was crying for their support? Please. The level of self-importance is becoming comedy.
Every week it's a new story, a new fake outrage campaign and a new attempt to convince the world that South Africa is collapsing. Yet somehow the people pushing these narratives are the ones constantly being embarrassed when facts emerge.
lawani: If it is like that then you will be like London where they know everybody in their economy is working for them. Everybody in an economy should be working for everyone in the economy and if it is like that you will not even want anybody to leave
Omoawoke: See you everywhere … you have reached this place again
Lol… is this joblessness…?
Now you see my friend, when you are busy hating , Nigerians are out there making money and breaking records.. You are spending your entire life on Nairaland looking for battles to pick to make yourself feel good with nothing to show for it…
After a long day, you will probably get a certificate for the lioness and defender of SA online …
Look at your life
LMAO
Thanks, and I will hang that certificate on my wall till I die. My grandkids will know about my moments here .
And as you pray for the return of Apartheid ,pray that the USA in your backyard isn't instigating the second Biafra war
lawani: Don't allow anybody to work informally even if it is a one man business. They must pay minimum wage to themselves and pay income tax on it and other things
Omoawoke: You sad Nigerians are the most destructive… I said Nigerians are not close to being among the majority of immigrants in your country and I backed my claim with data…
Can you do the same? I believe you as a South African should be educated enough to know how to back up your claims with facts and data
And please, using laughing emojis doesn’t make you sound any smarter lol… stop hiding behind pains… you are always on Nairaland 24/7…. Arguing with strangers to make yourself feel better… are you loved at home?
This one is making this all personal. Is that how deep this is to you Sir?
The most destructive and the highest population are too different things Mr educated
ade4real2016: We know every human being works to make money but some Nigerians are known to prioritize money over their lives..For heavenly sake,Nigerians in South Africa ought to have completely departed that barbaric Apartheid stricken dungeon...You can only make n spend money alive...
LMAO. A Nigerian calling another country barbaric?
lawani: An EU citizen in Sweden explained on Quora that anybody smuggled into Sweden will return home in one year by themselves indebted to the person that smuggled them in and it is not difficult to make it work like that in any country instead of relying on mob action that often results in the death of innocent people. If the economy is proper formalized it will work like that. You mentioned cash transfer to citizens, I hope you know that is made possible in part by those that work and pay tax including foreigners? If nobody is paying tax you can't be paid welfare. In conclusion, your country is yours and you have the right to expel any alien especially criminals but do it civilly.
Yes every country will eventually put their houses in order and when that happens, countries will start competing amongst themselves for taxpayers
That's just the thing, in SA illegals don't have any tax numbers as they are not on the system. So nope they aren't tax payers. There are very few forein natinsks here who have registered businesses not petty trade .
Yes, people on welfare are unemployed citizens, some were tax players before Job losses, some disabled and some just useless... But all in.all, it is their human right as SA to have a paycheck ( a social ,economic and political contract with the state).
Like I said ,for far too long people protested against this mess and they got tired of a deaf government and as you see on those links ,these liberal and industrialised countries seem to be under the same spell of late(not listening to citizens concerns until violence breaks out. Like I said we will see how these new measures will do. Hopefully implementation will be consistent to avoid this pressure and anger, especially in the most vulnerable communities
Segzy19: Eish! Why did we fight for the freedom of these barbaric xenophobes? Is this how to repay Nigeria and other African countries who helped them?
Shame! This is a reason why they will forever be subservient to their white masters...
LMAO. Why aren't you fighting for the freedom of the middle belt? And is US Army making any progress over there fighter ?
kingyang: We should pay these SA people by stop subscribing to DStv, de activate our mtn SIM, and migrate to Glo and other network, their just tooo evil, avoid anything SA
LMAO. The Nigerian good people have US Army on their soil to save them from genociding each other . Now that's some evil shyt
zoomman: And they are spearheading the issue of genocide against Israel and they are the ones killing innocent immigrants up and down..
If migrants are killed up and down, why don't they just leave to save themselves, afterall SA isn't their home and they are not hostages of SA. What is the really issue?
IsraeliAIRFORCE: Black South Africans, you mean? The unfortunate thing is that they didn't build anything. The Whites who created the wealth are more tolerant than the lousy noisemakers.
LMAO. Yes,the whites slaved away to build every block in South Africa whilst we were chilling in pools sipping on cocktails . I wonder why they didn't do the same for you 🤔
BewareOf419: And those guys are here in Nigeria doing good with their businesses. Nigerians should start with MTN, followed by ShopRite
LMAO. And your rich and political class will allow you to chase away employers whilst you send us petty traders and criminals? . Try and see python dance in your dirty village
franchasng: That's part of the things I am angry about. I can't be President and Muslim terrorists hold some parts of Nigeria on ransom. It won't happen under my watch, never.
If I fail in other areas as President, I will never fail in these areas:
1.) Security
2.) Job creation
3.) Unifying Nigeria
Under me, Nigeria will have the strongest and most formidable military ready to strike at any time. I won't play politics with people's lives, I will rather go down together with anyone that dare make Nigeria insecure or make Nigerians look helpless.
And like I said, if I were to be Nigeria's President, I will break protocols and invade South Africa unannounced and damn whatever consequences. You xenophobic South Africans need to be taught a lesson on how to respect others and how to respect the sanctity of lives.
We played key role when you Xenophobes were being oppressed under apartheid regime and we never knew we were helping savage humans
LMAO. I asked a question, how is the American Army doing over there, any major progress so far ?
Nnamdipapa: I don't know what you are talking about. I know no one who already is or is planning to go to South Africa so, nothing for me to tell anyone. I am also presenting enjoying Nigeria and looking for ways to make improvements and contribute to my country.
It is the duty of your government to deport any undesirables in your country instead all the noise you guys make online. As a matter of fact, clamour for your government to expel the Nigerian embassy in South Africa to be expelled and I would not gaf.
As I said earlier, you're telling me about your personal opinions ,family ,future plans etc. It seems like you think I.care or you want me to care . Are we on a date on something 🤔.
And now you just went from "not caring about South Africa" to giving her advice .
Dancebreaker: Rubbish. Even the Boers who claim SA today left the Netherlands and with other Europeans annexed SA land. Europeans did same in the Americas. People have always moved and will always do.
The same SA has Nigerian scholars and professionals paying taxes. My course mates in Europe were Asians, Americans and from all the continents. By nature of the course, all stayed for at least a few years for post-grad professional training. Majority still work here today. Many of them came from elite families in USA, Asia and elsewhere and were able to easily pay for the most expensive course. Others were on National Govt scholarships, especially the Asians.
Going abroad is not all about poverty or seeking greener Pasteur. When Columbus left Europe to "discover" America, Venice, Florence, Rome, Paris, London, Lisbon, Madrid and others were thriving. He could have lived in any of them comfortably.
If Nigeria were like Singapore today, Nigerians would still travel.
Do not let self-loathing drive you to support someone who promotes xenophobia against other Africans. It's a very poor form of wokism.
Mr champion of African humanity ( as long as it's away from home) :
Comparing Nigerians leaving a country that still needs doctors, engineers and professionals to Columbus sailing around in the 1400s or to Europeans and Asians studying abroad today is not the same thing at all.
Columbus lived in a world without modern borders, immigration systems or national development strategies. Today countries train people expecting those skills to strengthen their own societies.
Many of the countries you mentioned export surplus talent. Nigeria is still trying to keep the professionals it already has.
When skilled people leave permanently from a country that still needs them, that is not exposure. That is capacity loss.
And the taxes those professionals pay abroad matter far less to countries like South Africa than they would matter back home where those same skills are urgently needed.
Columbus didn’t go through immigration systems; modern professionals do ....and those systems exist because countries protect their own development capacity.
Exposure that builds other countries while your own keeps losing capacity is not sophistication. It’s brain drain. That's why you have many representatives in many industries abroad but your own can barely outcompete the poorest countries in African in terms of development, healthcare, educational facilities, roads etc.
Nnamdipapa: You'll have to ask them whenever you can find them. I live in Nigeria and have zero intentions to see South Africa or it's people in my lifetime.
This is just a personal opinion based off of the hatred ZAfricans have for Nigerians. Please, deport all those Nigerians in South Africa and I wouldn't give a care in the world. I suggest your government to stop issuing visas to Nigerians too.
I took the time to explain to my kids that ZAfricans hate them so they know where to avoid in the future.
Remember, it is the duty of your government to conduct adequate due diligence before accepting anyone into your country and from personal experience, it is the lower dregs of the Nigerian society that relocate to South Africa.
LMAO ....you keep repeating “hate this, hate that” as if anyone here is trying to change your mind.
No one is asking you to like South Africa.
If you’ve already taught your children to avoid South Africa, that settles the issue. South Africans also teach their children to be cautious about people who openly say they despise the country and it's people and those who leave their homelands to cause trouble here.
So yes .... they should follow your example and stay away, and everyone remains comfortable.
fyneboi79: i guess you are from that useless country of black layabouts still ruled and economically dominated by white invaders? Shame!
LMAO. And I'm guessing you're from that country that remained useless under white and black rule where it's people continue to drown in mass extreme poverty, undervelopment and their only hope is to escape to any country including Pakistan ? . That's even a bigger shame. Oil rich with a huge population and still competing with Somalia and them in terms of anything positive
JuanDeDios: Yeah. Yeah. I'd've given the same advice too. My people have a proverb that a man who is going to be eaten won't rob oil on himself and go sit near the fire. If you're in the crosshairs and minor discrepancies that would normally be waved can get you into trouble, you make darn well sure that your papers are spotless.
The one I'm concerned about and hope to find more information on is the issue of badmouthing the SA government.
True. @ the bolded. That's definitely the part I thought your citizens would demand clarity or transparency on from your side of the government: What were the posts that they also deemed inflammatory against the government of South Africa.
Nnamdipapa: Let your government deport all of them for all I care. I don't know those people and hold no forth for them. I cannot even bring myself to visit a site majorly patronized by ZAfricans.
LMAO The real question is: why don't they run away from South Africa the same way they ran away from Nigeria if South Africa is horrible to them ?
Poor thing, you must be burning inside seeing us here .
Dancebreaker: Lol. No contradiction whatsoever. All I see in your write-up is a person piggy-backing on Boer development and using it to taunt other Africans. I remember what some Boers I worked with in diaspora about 20 years ago said. They said they left SA as the country was going to the dogs due to affirmative action. That SA will become just another corrupt African country under black rule. Back then, I used to argue with them that their Apartheid policies denied blacks the opportunity to be educated and gain competencies. That it was Boers' fault.
You should know that many Nigerians out there are far better exposed and have mingled with all sorts of people than your lots and dudula goons. If the matter does not involve maltreatment of other Africans, I am not interested. I know stories have no meaning to those who have no meaningful stories of their own to tell.
My lack of interest does not mean I should look away when SA people indulge in xenophobia.
Your "whataboutism" won't cut it. Lobby SA government to block other Africans from coming to SA. Not to say SA is open for business, and then expose them to xenphobia.
Saying South Africans are “piggy-backing on Boer development” ignores the reality that most of South Africa’s modern institutional growth, infrastructure expansion, housing delivery, financial depth and continental economic leadership strengthened after 1994 under black South African leadership..... not Boers.
What makes this argument even stranger is coming from someone claiming Nigerians are “more exposed,” yet Nigeria ....with far more oil wealth and population ....still trails many African countries on infrastructure, governance stability and human-development indicators. What's your excuse for always flirting with the bottom of every list of positive indices in Africa among the likes of Somalia in 2026? "Too much exposure and travelling "I guess
Exposure that produces lectures but not results at home is not an advantage.
It’s just travel stories. Old man, your grand grandkids will be singing this song if you don't fix your ways as a country . Somalia will soon chase you out of their country
The same Boeres who are returning in back in their numbers ,pledging allegiance to the same South Africa? . Is the government white these days ?
Nnamdipapa: I de.spise South Africa as a nation and will never be caught dead in that country. Even if you pay me 1million Rands, I will never visit.
I also have thecsame feelings for the people over there and rezlly wonder what Nigerians are doing there. My honest opinion.
And we respect your opinion and by the way ,the feeling is mutual. We also wonder why your people just can't fckn leave us alone . It's one of the strangest things ever.
Dancebreaker: Well, you feel older folks should not be current. Very weird and biased. I have no feelings towards SA whatsoever. The same I have none towards Iran, Papua New Guinea or Afghanistan. But open hatred towards other Africans is condemnable.
My link with SA died with a great South African who died a few years back. He openly admitted in a private discussion his disappointment with South African's feeling towards other Africans. Yes, he expressed his disappointment with Nigeria too, considering how Nigeria inspired him back in 1960s each time he was in Nigeria, as Mandela was facing treason charges in SA. For confidentiality sake, I won't mention his name. He was a thoroughly decent man and merited all the global awards he got. Nothing like the uncouth dudula or whatever they call them. No doubt, he would be turning in his grave.
You say you have “no feelings toward South Africa whatsoever,” yet you keep writing essays about South Africa in every comment.
Then you introduce a “great South African” who supposedly agreed with you .... but can’t be named. That’s not evidence, that’s storytelling.
Respectfully, apartheid-era memories and private conversations from the 1960s don’t decide immigration policy in 2026. Countries today run on institutions and law, not nostalgia.
And if your connection with South Africa “died years ago,” it’s strange that South Africa is still the country you’re most invested in discussing.
That contradiction says more than the speech. Papa, South Africa isn't the problem the failure of your generation to get things in order for your shortcut -loving and uncultured kids and grandkids is why you're wailing today. Do better in fixing that and we will do our best to fix our own side ....deal ?
Okhuadams: A very wicked country, if not the whites that are there i wonder how they the stupid blacks will be
Your grandson will be saying this exact line to my grandson in decades to come and by that time you won't even be competing with Somalia at the bottom of the list of positive indices in Africa, they would be enforcing very strict immigration laws against your grandkids
Countries that spend more time arguing about others than fixing themselves usually discover this too late.
