Im so happy. Got my us visa yestrdy at lagos with my mum.. We were nt asked fr a single document.my mum has travld to america bfr n i hvnt. Was givin the visa on a virgin passport. My advice is that fill your ds 160 correctly, have a valid and sincere reason for traveln, pray and be confident

My interview transcript yesterday 30th may
VO good morning
Me. Good morning sir and how are you doing?
VO. Where are you going in USA and why?
My husband. I'm going on two weeks vacation to Florida with my family
VO what do you do(to my husband,)
My husband. I'm an importer of aluminium panels from turkey and china
VO. Flips husbands passport to check for visas and turns to me. Madam you're a lawyer, what exactly is your job?
Me. I treat basically civil matters basically corporate fillings and contract negotiation
VO. What does it take to be a lawyer in nigeria
Me. I begin my story about gaining admission, doing five yrs, going to law school, being called to bar and swearing to uphold the law and defend the common man
VO. This is the best explanation I've gotten so far. Hands me the white paper and asked that I picked up at the chosen location in three working days.
NB the vo didn't ask for any document at all. Not even one

Interviewed yesterday with wifey and my 3 years old son. He was rejecting people upandan. He got irritated with the man before us when he asked what he does and he replied "I own a company". "Can you be specific?" .. He sighed,in a tired voice.
Transcript below...

Vo.. Pls hold.. (Left to take water or so for about 2 mins)
Vo.. Good morn
Us.. Good morn
Vo.. Where are you going in the US?
Me.. New York city
Vo.. Y are you going to NY?
Me.. For family vacation...
Vo.. (Cuts in..) What do you do?
Me.. I'm an assistant manager, call center operations at... (Mentioned one of the 4 telecom coy)
Vo.. Madam, what do you do?
Wifey.. I'm a client service manager at.. (mentioned a micro finance bank)
Vo.. (Came back to me) what type of organization is that?
Me.. (I looked at him surprised) a telecom company, I repeated the coy's name again.
Vo.. Oh! Have you traveled before?
Me.. Yes, I've been to Tanzania for...
Vo.. (Cuts in..) Ve you traveled before?
Wifey.. Yes
Vo.. Where?
Wifey.. Ivory coast
Vo.. Why are you going to the new York city?
Me.. (I wan vex say, sebi u no allow me finish that time nah). We are going for a family vacation, we are taking this year annual leave together to visit nice places in the city and to celebrate my wife's birthday.
Vo.. (Typed for some mins and..) I'm issuing your visas, pick then up next week......

Observation.... Don't be desperate to please the vo by leaning on the slab and shouting towards the glass, the mic/speaker are by your right, he will hear you just fine.
My son got tried on the queue, no activities, had to carry him throughout the interview.
Thanks to gurus in the house, ve been a silent reader, read both parts, only asked a question once. The knowledge gathered here is enough for me to open a travel agency. Looool.

Good day, i ve been a silent reader here ever since i schedule an appointment.
My interview was may 31st, 10 am. I went there with my wife, 3yrs daughter and 1 yr old son.
we got there 9:37am , it was rainy then.
i filled the form my self , No AGENT.
I wish i can re schedule that appointment, i had malaria a day b4 the date.
They gave us privilege bcuz of my lil boy, they just called us to come to front ..so we took finger print and we proceed to the que for proper interview.
immediately, the security just called my wife again to come to the front ...
i was scared bcuz i never wanted it that time, i was feeling like throwing up...i went to gents like 4 times.
when we got to the front , the security had to begged the man at the front to allow us did our interview. The man quietly said NO PROBLEM
Immediately i saw myself in-front of VO.

The TRANSCRIPT goes like ........

my Daughter was bussy waiving at the VO, but the guy never respond, he was bussy talking to an american colleague of him, we saw both of them in dsame cubicle..talking for like 50 sec while we were waiting for him to look at our side, immediately he just turn to us.

VO.......................Good morning
ME.......................Good morning and hw are you doing today
VO.......................I m fine thank you
VO.......................Where r you going in america
ME........................I THOUGHT HE SAID WHY ARE U GOING TO AMERICA
i ve already crammed answer to that
ME..........................I just star started saying ....we r going for our vacation .......bla bla
VO..................... Noooooo, i mean where r you going IN AMERICA?
ME..................... We r going to FLORIDA
VO.......................What will you will be doing when you get to FLORIDA?
I dnt hear him clearly but my wife does
ME.....................sorry pls come again . and he now said it one after the other , though my wife has told me that he said what do we want to
do in florida....my wife has watch american movie die.,.she heard every word those VO said even when they werent talkin
to us.
Me...................we r going there to see an intresting places like jungle island, Miami theater, Maimiiiiii i started stutter.
VO....................Tell me about your JOB?
ME....................Come again pls, My wife just told me that he said YOUR JOB, I really dnt understand that guy ascent at all.
me...................I work with xxxxxxxxx as a data sales specialist and site coordinator( i knew myself i was too fast in talking cuz i stammer

VO..............What do you mean by site coordinator?
ME..............I told him am monitoring BTS

VO.............BASE STATION ?
Me.............yes, all these mask and i was trying to demonstrate it to him. he kept on typing for like 27 sec..immediately he just asked...
VO.............Madam, what do you do....
immediately i was relieved and i tapped my wife...its your turn..thank God he left me. mind my lil BOY was disturbing that he
wants to touch the VO glass.. , the VO just keep straight face at us....No smiling at all
WIFE.........I work at xxxxxx bank as loan consumer officer( MY WIFE try to polished her ascent )
VO..........oh, if i come to you for loan, what is the procedure?
WIFE.......ok, i have to look at your bank stmt and be sure you r credit worthy with 2 guarantor and also your salary to be sure you can pay back.
VO..........Have you traveled out of your country before?
WIFE.......NO, The nature of our job has not given us time.
the VO started typing again for like 30 sec...
immediately he just pack all our passport beside him and pick white form , circled the pick up address and congratulate us.

pls fill your form yourself , pray to GOD , IF YOU have a kids , let them free at the embassy , they shld play arround like they r at home.
