Thank you so much phardey for your responses. I really appreciate. Please i have 3 more questions on this issue;
Firstly, the FLM(M) application is in about a year now, is it still okay for them to rent a new apartment?

Secondly, do you have the link to include someone's name on the TV licence bill?

lastly, my own BRP was issued on 09/11/2017 and will expire on 06/08/2020.

Please when is the best time to submit my application for the FLM(M) ?

Thank you.

[quote author=Lexusgs430 post=63312464]Yes you can....

Please they requested for proof of identification, is BRP and international passport sufficient for the proof? And how long does it take. Thanks

Lexusgs430:
Who presently pays the council tax? Or is it also included in the bundled rental package (all inclusive)?

So how do you get bills in your name if landline is out of the question, provisional licence out of the question etc etc etc

Only solution is to get another accommodation that both of you exclusively lives in or in control of the bill payments.
I really appreciate you bro. The house is all inclusive.
Please can I apply for my provisional license now? Or I should wait for my NINO before applying?

Have you thought about getting a landline?

Job centres are good, but don't hold your breath.....

No links, you just have to put in the leg work and e work....

NB : Don't narrow your search to Administration roles only..... Have you thought of a career change?
Thanks @Lexus430 for your response.
He said that we didn't need landline for now.

I will start going places and job centres immediately.

I can work in any available position.

Please is it a must to register with council tax? Hubby he's from Ijebu and saying the bills will be high on him.

Please what can I do?.

1 - Have you opened a bank account? Have you applied for provisional licence?
2 - NINO application form should arrive within 3 weeks
3 - Yes, start job hunting. If you are allocated a temp NINO prior, all adjustments would be sorted
4 - What's your field? What area are you based? Have you looked thorough job agencies (online & doorstop) Used word of mouth? Physically visited places of interest?
Thank you so much @Lexusgs430. I really appreciate you.
1) Regarding the bank account, I was told that I will need proof of address. And I don't have it now.
2) I will wait peacefully for the NI number form.
3) Noted
4) I studied Administration. Staying around Walthamstow ,E17. Concerning the job agencies ,I haven't (both online and doorstop). But am thinking of trying job centre.
I don't mind if you can send some links to me. I will really appreciate it

Thanks

Good afternoon everyone, I just came across this site last week! Just want to share my experience and to encourage everyone waiting for their visa to hang on the faith! I went to UK in 2010 on student visa and due to some issues from home office. I couldn't renew my visa and overstayed! I met my husband 2014 thinking to get married and applied for spouse visa but was not possible instead home office sent me a letter to come and be signing, I complied and was signing till our solicitor ask us to go home and apply I came to naija last December to get married and applied in May. To God be the glory my visa came out today. God favoured me despite overstaying but God proved himself worthy. Pls to everyone still waiting don't loose hope if God can do mine he will sure do for everyone. I received the not straight forward email on 1st of August and my visa was approved on that same 1st of August. What a might God we serve.
What a might God we serve indeed. You are not lucky, YOU ARE BLESS.

[quote author=Ekera27 post=59257157]Hi All,

I have been a silent follower of this thread and I must say that indeed you guys are doing a great job!..

I have a situation that I will appreciate some advice on: Please see below:
Settlement visa-Husband (Priority)
Date of biometrics:10th May 2017
After various futile inquiries, I get a mail on the 31st of July saying my application needs additional documents and that I should scan these documents and send them via email within 5 working days.

Thereafter, I got another email saying my application was not straightforward (the usual automated email they send to cover their incompetence).

the documents they requested for are:
1. Certificate confirming award of Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from my institution or this is not available then an academic reference from the institution awarding the academic qualification confirming the award or an academic transcript of the award (see Immigration Rules Appendix FM-SE Paragraph 31 for full details of requirements).

2. A document from UK NARIC which confirms that the qualification meets or exceeds the recognised standard of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or PhD in the UK

3. As evidence of your sponsor’s salaried employment you have submitted a single payslip dated 30 April 2017 and a P60 for 2016/17. Please provide the following additional documents :
(a) Payslips for November 2016 to March 2017 inclusive (5 months)
(b) A letter from the employer(s) who issued these payslips confirming
(i) the person’s employment and gross annual salary;
(ii) the length of their employment;
(iii) the period over which they have been or were paid the level of salary relied upon in the application; and
(iv) the type of employment (permanent, fixed-term contract or agency).

By the way in our initial application we submitted a
-UK NARIC letter that certified my English proficiency.
UK NARIC wouldn't provide you that letter unless you submit all your academic credentials to them so was surprised when UKVI requested for my certificate/transcript
- We submitted proof of employment and bank statements from Dec2016-May 2016, P60, April payslips.

Was a bit surprised when they asked for more documents.
Anyways I scanned all requested documents and sent to them on Tuesday, 1st of August. The emails kept on bouncing because of the heavy attachments so I decided to send them in 3 batches and it went through. My wife then got an extra document on Friday, 4th August that we decided to add to the previous documents we had emailed earlier on Monday. So as not to confuse them we decided to respond to our previous mail so the correspondence will be intact; only to get a response from the decision making team that they didn't get the other documents that we sent on 1st and we should resend the attachments asap. I got the email an hr later and responded immediately.

Now my worries are that they are yet to respond that they have gotten all the attachments I resent. I sent an email twice yday for them to confirm the receipt of my mail and attachments but still no response. I also attached a letter explaining to them that my wife undergoes an operation on the 8th of August which happens to be today and I hd expected a response from them way long before now, but still no response.

Please my people, what else can I do? These guys have cost me two job appointments in the UK and now I am absent during my wife's surgery. Its heart breaking!
How long does it usually take for a response after you get the 'not straight forward email'?

Good morning, please can you share the email address that you used to contact them. Thank you

Now my questions are
1) Can we go ahead with involving the MP
2) If we involve the MP, I hope it won't backfire on their decision concerning my application.
Please house I need your opinion.
Thank you

Going with the MP is the fastest and the surest way to get info from them concerning an application and that action does not have any thing to do with a decision that has been made in an application.
Thank you so much. I really appreciate you.

Good evening house. Here am I again. Please I really need your urgent advice.
I read on this thread that if you are trying to track your application and it kept showing not recognised. That means they've not assigned ECO to work on someone's application. And that's what have been getting since March 6,2017 till date.

I received a mail from them yesterday that my application is not straight forward again.
Now my husband suggested maybe he should contact the MP. So that he can contact them directly to find out what's going on concerning my application.
Because he's suspecting that they might have list my documents.

If the MP contact them, they will come out with what is going on. And if there are any issues concerning my application, they will take it to the parliament for review.

Now my questions are
1) Can we go ahead with involving the MP
2) If we involve the MP, I hope it won't backfire on their decision concerning my application.
Please house I need your opinion.
Thank you

Since then no message from them. I also tried to track it from the link shared on this thread, but kept showing reference number not recognised. I also used my IHS no, still showed the same.
My husband called Sheffield on 5th of july and they said that they will escalate it, I just got another email from them today telling me that my application is not straight forward and that they will get back to me as soon as possible . Please what can I do, the waiting is getting too long for me.

When u recieve application not straight forward of a thing relax, it's not a problem yet. They will definitely get back to u by calling your hubby for interview or requesting for some more documents. So tell ur hubby to look out for that. It could take up to 1 to 2 weeks. Just be optimistic and u will rejoice soon.
Thank you so much. I really appreciate. I will tell hubby to be expecting there call or message.
