Media bites have begun making the rounds that every seemingly articulate sentence Tinubu mentioned in Akwa Ibom was whispered to him, including close-up videos of points like seaport, Peter Obi's states and the likes being whispered to him.

When he began calling Atiku Senate President and Udom a "small boy" was when he deviated from advice and the written speech before him.

Akpabio has distanced himself amongst the religious leaders and state elders from Tinubu's insults. Check his Facebook page - he refused to make reference to it, he just thank God for a successful rally and that is it.

Remember that Akwa Ibom has two feet in Cross Rivers politics (I won't say control for the sake of respect) and is tied to Rivers political stance? Let's see the results Tinubu gets in the 3 states.

Also, no more official venues for APC rallies in Akwa Ibom. Tinubu has given a reason to justifiy it.

Question though, I understand that the insult to the governor is bad. But it seems akwa Ibom really took it personal even if the governor had not reacted.

Aha! I already stated Udom would milk Tinubu's insults to his advantage. He'd give a gentlemanly reply to maintain his fine guy, nice guy image, but the undertones would be fiery. His people have pitched it as "The APC governorship candidate brought outsiders to come insult Akwa Ibom people as small boys".


In 2019 when the APC governorship candidate insulted Udom publicly, he didn't respond. He ensured the man lost his ward, clan and LGA to humiliate him. Imagine a former deputy governor and NDDC Chairman losing his ward.
That's the endpoint I expect here.
