While you shouldn’t make life decisions based on what others think, know that a tattoo could change the way you’re perceived. It is easy to say to others “accept me as I am”, but it is important to remember that not everyone approves of tattoos.

It is true that having a tattoo can affect how others see and even judge you. What happens if someone who can have a great impact in your life, hates tattoos? For example, the bank manager who gets to decide if you get a loan? If he hates tattoos, and yours are very big and visible, he might not approve your loan.

Kenya’s Film and Classification Board (KFCB) in April banned a movie ‘Rafiki’ from being shown on Cinemas for having lesbian theme. The movie is about love between two women.

A court has temporarily lifted the ban on the movie. Kenyans are now turning out en masse to cinemas to watch ‘Rafiki’.

Kenya’s Film and Classification Board (KFCB) said ‘Rafiki’ was banned because of intent to “promote lesbianism,” in the country.

“The film has been restricted due to its homosexual theme and clear intent to promote lesbianism in Kenya contrary to the law,” a statement from the board

The court ruling will allow Kenyans above 18 to watch the movie for the first time in the country for just one week from September 23 until 29th.
