This is the same Owerri, abagworo is talking about. At least 90% of the roads in Owerri are in total mess.

As an Imolite I will continue to say the bitter truth. Over 90% of the roads/streets in Owerri are dilapidated, dirty and in total mess. Let anyone come and prove me wrong. Below are pictures from Owerri. Everywhere in Owerri is dirty and dilapidated. No more propaganda. Abagworo over to you.

Look at Owerri

Look at the hollow blocks used in road projects in Owerri imo state. Look at how dirty Owerri is with sand all over the roads.

Useless jobless old man. Abagworo whenever you are confronted with the mess in Imostate you will switch moniker.

Now lemme tell you for free Imo state is a total mess. Owerri is filled with illiterates, bad roads, filth and prostitutes.

Here is the present condition of Owerri. Owerri is a total mess that should be demolished to the ground.

[s][/s]
Sincerely Owerri is a mess. Look at the condition of our schools.

PoliticsRe: Few Pics From Imo State by lmo1stson:
It is painful when people say the truth. Obiano is miles and miles ahead of Okorocha. Infact go to FB and read how Imolites are praying to have an OBIANO to turn around Imo state for good.
Obiano's 3yrs in office has surpassed 7 wasted yrs of Okorocha.

Okorocha has taken over 200b loan but yet there's nothing anywhere in Imo state to show for it.

What's the present condition of hospitals, schools, roads, education, IGR etc, we are in trouble in Imo State.

Just one of the many bridges/flyovers/roads done Obiano has covered all that Okorocha has wasted 7yrs trying to do.

Chiwude:
Dont start what you cannot prove! You just mentioned Obiano, which Obiano? Is it the scammer we know or another one. Don't even mention Obiano and Rochas in the same sentence, while one scams and does a low quality project, the other scams and show billboards as evidence of performance. When did "Obiano is working" billboards become project. When we insult Rochas, we don't do it because he isn't working, we do it because we hate the China projects he litters everywhere. If you're talking of standard infrastructure, then you mention Umahi of Ebonyi in the first paragraph. We are not blind, if Obiano is really working we won't need a soothsayer to tell us.

PoliticsRe: Few Pics From Imo State by lmo1stson: 10:39am On May 02, 2018
I think to a large extent that Okorocha has failed Imo state. Okorocha has done little or nothing but his propagandists are all over the place. Today Owerri is a huge mess, the few projects he did their have all collapsed. I think it will be an insult to write Okorocha and such a performing gov like Obiano. Anambra generally under Obiano has transformed far more than Imo state can ever be. Obiano has also done magnificient infrastructures like flyovers/roads in Awka and other cities and rural areas in the state. Flyovers Okorocha started 7yrs ago has he completed it? Can you honestly call that overpass culvert a project? Let us start asking questions in Imo state for once.

You can compare TA Orji to Okorocha, that will be fine but not a performer like Obiano. Remember Okorocha has borrowed over 250 billion in just 7yrs. What did he do with it? Let us start from there. What is the status of healthcare in Imo state? What of educational institutions?

Ofuzo:
YOU ARE WRONG ON ALL COUNTS.
It's ok for you to come here everyday to cry and wail about okorocha's developmental priorities, it's entirely different thing altogether when you start to create your own sets of facts.
You said it's ILLEGAL, and unconstitutional to develop owerri and abandon other regions of the state. For starters, this is totally and completely false. Okorocha have not abandoned other regions, rather have concentrated on owerri. Also, if you read my last post carefully, you'd seen where I advised you to take the man to court if you THOUGHT what he was doing was ILLEGAL AND UNCONSTITUTIONAL. Just coming here on nairaland to allege, is not enough. My hunch, is that you already think that you can't win the case, so you haven't tried.
Yes, I'm from orlu senatorial zone, and I care about the neglect of any region of imo state. But through successive governors, orlu have never changed much in the last fourty years. Even then, I wouldn't be surprised if okorocha's government accomplished more in orlu than all his predesessors.
Yes, it's true that people can ask questions on this thread about okorocha's developmental priorities, but ONLY DUMB AND STUPID people waist their time asking questions, that they know will not get any response, hence everybody's admonition to you to stop going around in circles.

"There's no other state in nigeria with this sort of concentration of development infrastructure in the state as is in imo state"
Your point here can only be adjudged to be correct if there's any other town in nigeria that have improved as fast as owerri. You see, I tried to explain that to you in my last post but you seem also to have glossed over it. Let me repeat that; okorocha's government could very easily have tarred a few roads here and there and still receive accolades as is evident in other states. I used obiano's anambra and Theodore orji's abia state as an example. Both men are receiving accolades even though their states or cities have not transformed the same way owerri has. The only reason you can come here and YAK YAK YAK about owerri's favouritism is because SOMETHING IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING IN OWERRI. There's is no way, in high havens you will be crying about orlu, if Okorocha had scantly developed owerri like his predesessors. So, your claim that that there's no other state were such is going on is RUBBISH because there's no town in nigeria that have advanced as fast as owerri has, in the last five years.

PoliticsN3,000 Adult Levy Imposition In Imo By Rochas Okorocha Causes Tension In State by lmo1stson(op): 7:11pm On Apr 21, 2018
Okorocha Threatens To Sanction Erring Monarchs
There is palpable tension in the 27 Local Councils of Imo State over the state governor, Rochas Okorocha’s directive that every adult must pay a N3, 000 Autonomous Community Development levy.

According to a letter to monarchs of 644 autonomous communities, signed by the commissioner for Government Council, Louis O. Duru, the monarchs were directed to raise about N6 million from estimated 2,000 adults from each community for development purposes in the communities.

The letter reminded the monarchs that the governor had severally in the past, dating from 2016, directed them to compel their subjects to pay the said levy, compulsorily writing the details of the payment in the Adult Register in each community, to develop their communities. “Any recognized autonomous community that fails to pay the development levy will be merged with a sister autonomous community that has paid and the salaries/allowances of the traditional ruler of the erring community will be suspended,” it said. The directive stressed that sensitization meeting and monitoring would be embarked upon, to ensure compliance.

But in anger, respondents and callers on the various phone-in programmes on the radio yesterday objected to it, saying the directive dissatisfied them. They also opined that they couldn’t afford what they called “double taxation at the moment,” stressing that the hardship was much in the state to warrant such.

Since abagworo who receives 20k monthly stipend to defend Rochas cannot attend to this thread, lemme bring it here for all our people to discuss. Who did this to us in Imo state? Has Rochas created any job in Imo state since 2011? Just mention one paying sustainable job created by Rochas in Imo state?

https://www.nairaland.com/4462060/okorocha-imposes-n3000-development-levy

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state has ordered all “leviable adults” in the state to pay N3,000 each as “development levy.”

According to a statement by Louis Duru, the state Commissioner for Community Government, Culture and Traditional Affairs, the money is to be used for “autonomous community adult development.”

Duru said the state had registered at least 2,000 leviable adults in each of the 637 autonomous communities.
He added that recognised communities will serve as the collectors and they are to pay not less than N6 million each.

Okorocha warned that the traditional rulers of defaulting communities will have their allowances or salaries suspended.

“To facilitate the payment, the state government through the ministry of CGC, since September 2016, has provided community adult registers for all autonomous communities in the state where the communities will enlist the names of at least 2000 leviable adults.”

“Consequently, Owelle Okorocha has directed that all recognised autonomous communities in Imo State should pay the minimum adult development levy of without further delay.

“Any recognised autonomous community that fails to pay the development levy will be merged with sister autonomous community that had paid and the salaries/allowances of the traditional ruler ill be suspended.

“Government has concluded arrangements to embark on sensitisation meetings with traditional rulers at the local government areas to further emphasize His Excellency’s directives and monitor compliance.”

They are dissatisfied with the situation and mess in our state. Your disagreement with me doee not stop my alert of 200-400k every month. tongue

And you think they would lavish 400k on one person when same amount can pay as many as 15 people who would even do a better job than you?

I pity whoever sired you and those around you because you are completely frustrated and suicidal. With all the time you spend here, then one only imagine what is left to go into helping yourself earn a meaningful living. Life is really short especially in Nigeria, yet it's mind boggling how you spend such limited time on a faceless forum talking trash every minute of the day. Only a most wicked and self-aggrandizing governor can waste the state's resources in building those huge pillars for street lamp poles in the state capital while the other towns in the state are carried away by flood due to absence of common drainage system.
Since Okorocha came in 2011, it has been ''build and demolish''. His projects are not planned. He probably saw this pillars somewhere and rushed home, assembled his bricklayers and ask them to start building it. Now millions of Imo state funds have been wasted. That was how he built unplanned pedestrian bridges and pulled it down after 1yr. So much waste and that is why Imo state is broke and bankrupt today with no reasonable project to show after 7yrs in office.

Going by the recent decrepit and horrible pictures of bad roads and filth coming out of Owerri, the town is not different from Aba presently. Yes, though Aba maybe more organised and planned than Owerri, but I still believe that we need to do something urgently to draw our own people home by industrialising and organizing Imo state. I think that is why there are still huge poulation of Imo state people in Aba.

He is always angry over such bitter issues. Just like ruggedised1 said, and I can confirm it, there are at least 1.5 million of my fellow Imolites resident in Onitsha alone. All the pharmacists and pharmaceutical outlets at Headbridge are owned 100% by our own Imo state people. This is a pure statement of fact. In 2015, Ihedioha came to Onitsha campaigning to lead Imo state. He actually came to campaign in Onitsha because he knows that almost every family in Imo state people has family relations in Onitsha because they see the city as their abroad. Below is one of his campaign in Onitsha in 2015. Truth cannot be hidden forever.

PoliticsRe: Few Pics From Imo State by lmo1stson:

Abagworo, as you correctly wrote above: educated Imolites live only in Owerri, or elsewhere outside Imo state.

This supports my stance that all is not well with the development pattern of Imo state government which concentrates in Owerri.
In two neighborhood states for example: Anambra and Abia, educated Anambra people can live in Awka, Nnewi, Onitsha; educated Abians can comfortably live in Umuahia and Aba.

Owerri capital territory is less than 5% of the land mass of Imo state.
Imo state governor does the showmanship projects in Owerri, build a town to touch the sky; you and the governor renamed Owerri to be Imo state.

The few from Owerri who are the direct beneficiaries of the showmanship development in Owerri clap for the governor.

The governor thinks that the entire Imo state is with him.
Most Imo state people don't like living in OWERRI and that is why the town is deserted like a ghost town. All you see in Owerri are just low grade unenlightened population, poor people, brothels, prostitutes and armed robbers.

The question is, why Imo state govt develop Owerri in such a way that rich and educated people can live and work in the town? There are no single decent job in Owerri the reason it was infested with all manner of animals. Imo state governments since 1999 has failed Imolites and it calls for urgent action as the next election draws near.
