Hehehehehe..I am your fellow Imolite. Sincerely speaking IMO state is very backward filthy state filled with illiterates. Do we have people like Chimamanda or Soludo from Imo state? Anambra is ahead. hehe

Abagworo, I am from Imo state but Anambra is a model state, they are building both state and federal roads. See below, is this a federal project, but we can only dream of such projects as this in Imo state.

Owerri is now an insecure dungeon where people are gunned down everyday. Meanwhile there's a governor in this useless state of ours.

It's a very sad moment for the family and friends of a 400 level undergraduate student of the department of Banking and Finance, Imo State University - after she was shot dead by unknown assailants. According to reports, the deceased identified as Miss. Ibeh Kelechi Assumpta a.k.a KC who is expected to graduate in August - was shot dead on her birthday on Wednesday, 21st March (yesterday) by unknown gunmen...

It was revealed that her family whom she lived with before the untimely death - were devastated and heartbroken at the Douglas Owerri scene Wednesday evening where the tragedy occurred over yet to be disclosed issue.

According to the brother of the late student who confirmed the tragedy "She was suppose to graduate this year, someone picked a gun, pointed at her, pulled the trigger, she fell in the pool of her blood".

Confirming the sad news also, the departmental president Cmrd Victor Adiele issued an official statement to Imsu Info-media scope where he expressed bitterness and shock over the sudden demise. The notification reads;

"It's a black Thursday for entire students of banking and finance." "With tears of agony, bitterness, the entire students of NABAFS mourn the death of their beloved colleague, course mate, friend, sister Ibeh Kelechi Assumpta (Kay cee) , a 400 level student, soon to be graduate by August, who was shot dead yesterday 21st March by unknown"

"Yesterday happens to be her 23rd birthday celebration. So unfortunately she weren't able to celebrate her day to d end."

"On behalf of the entire students of NABAFS, Comr.Adiele Victor (PRESIDENT)." He concluded.

That's an inspection by DCS not Okorocha and mind you the flyover is solid and in use even though not commissioned yet.
Stop your propaganda. The flyover is substandard and crashing down if you look at the pictures. Again the flyover has never been used since 4yrs ago Rochas commissioned the death trap. Show us pictures of vehicles using it.

Below are Rochas convoy the day he came to commission the flyover. The collapsing flyover should be demolished to save Imo people the shame and embarrassment. After 3yrs it is still not being used after commissioning. Face the truth for once.

PoliticsRe: Few Pics From Imo State by lmo1stson: 2:55pm On Feb 22, 2018
Barely one month after the grand commissioning this was what we saw. The entire thing came down cracking all over and remained un-used till date. See below what COREN said:

The Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) has raised concern over the integrity of an intersection bridge otherwise called flyover being constructed by the administration of Governor Rochas Okorocha at Amawire, Akwakuma in Owerri, the Imo State capital.

Briefing newsmen on the outcome of the council’s first quarterly meeting for 2017, President and Chairman of the council, Mr. Kashim Ali disclosed that a letter had been written to the governor requesting him to provide details of the consultants and contractors handling the project so that they can furnish the body with some necessary information.

Ali warned that the council would not hesitate to invite the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC), to storm the project site and arrest anybody seen there, if the government failed to comply.

“We got a disturbing report from Imo State on a bridge on Amawire, Okigwe Road and Akwakuma flyover. Our Engineering regulatory monitoring team noticed defects; they requested from the government the details of the consultants and contractors involved especially the engineers so we can know what went wrong.”

“The state government has not given us that information; we have written to the governor for them to give us the details urgently; to know the engineers involved to prevent what will cost lives. If they don’t do that, we have no option but to report the matter under our Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) conditions to ICPC and they would find whoever it is and get information they need.”

The council also deliberated on the report of alleged professional misconduct against a Professor of Agriculture and Environmental Engineering, from the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Simon Irtwange and referred the case to an investigating panel to determine whether the actions constituted ethical misconduct.

COREN President said the professor would be tried by the tribunal if any case was established against him

See the uncompleted substandard flyover that leads to nowhere which Rochas commissioned with so much noise more than 4yrs ago, till today it is not in use.

You guys are so lucky in Imo that your Governor is doing quality job. Look at the so-called flyover my drunkard governor built with bricklayers at Awka.
That picture you showed was when the project was still ongoing. I rather prefer we have a drunkard that gave his state 3 brand new and functioning flyovers than the mess we have in Owerri. Rochas commissioned Owerri flyover with so much party and pump but today it is not being used because it collapsing. The one the so called drunkard built has been in use for the past 3yrs. Which is better?

PoliticsRe: Few Pics From Imo State by lmo1stson: 10:07am On Feb 22, 2018
Governor Okorocha had also been quoted as saying that Eastern Palm is a university built on public-private partnership model. He had allegedly said the university is owned by the Rochas Foundation and Imo state government indicating that while his private foundation owns 90 percent of the university the Imo state government owned 10 percent.
https://www.ripplesnigeria.com/management-crisis-rocks-okorochas-eastern-palm-university-vc-quits/
Okoroawusa has used state funds to build a private university but our own state university- IMSU is nothing to write about. After using state funds, he turned around to apportion himself 90% and apportion the state 10%. Even most secondary schools somewhere in Enugu and Anambra States are far better than IMSU. Who did this to Imo state?

PoliticsRe: Few Pics From Imo State by lmo1stson: 8:42am On Feb 22, 2018
I have to repeat this until the appropriate authority gives due attention.

Princess Hotel, Okigwe collapses

The multi-million Naira Princess Hotel, Okigwe, being constructed by Imo State Government, has collapsed. Vanguard investigation revealed that the structure, which was still at its early stages, crumbled after the concrete beams were put in place by the contracting firm. It was also gathered that no life was lost in the incident but a civil engineer, who spoke on strict grounds of anonymity, blamed the crash on substandard materials or a possible plan by the contractor to cut corners. Reacting to the incident, the Senior Special Assistant (Media) to the Governor, Mr. Sam Onwuemeodo, described the hotel as “an on-going project that has not got to a level one would say it has collapsed”.

While saying that the project is still at its elementary stage, Onwuemeodo however explained that “what fell down was the form-work for the reinforced concrete slab, which the engineers handling the project said could not have fallen without being hit with hard object”. Answering a question, Onwuemeodo said that the suspicion that the form-work for the reinforced concrete slab was forced down with a strong object has been taken note of and the government has already taken steps to investigate the suspicion of sabotage.

The SSA further said that the engineer’s claim “has also raised the issue of sabotage”, stressing that the people who had rushed to the media to raise the alarm that the Princess Hotel has collapsed are the same people who have been telling their audience that the project does not exist. “It is therefore unfortunate that few elements in the state have decided not to see the numerous achievements of the state government in less than three years, but are only interested in negative stories about the government”, the SSA said.

For the records, below is the Princess Hotel in Okigwe, it collapsed just as they were still building it. A major government project was being built with shovel and barrow. Since then it has been abandoned like that till. Is Imo state cursed or are we the cause?

In all honesty, I think Rochas has failed Imo state. Almost all the project he has done collapses as soon as the contractors are leaving the site. Fonr instance look at this school done by Rochas, it collapsed almost immediately it was completed. Why littering everywhere with substandard local govt projects that does not last one week?

Who's chino please? Now you are bursted you starts posting motels. Explain where you got this picture below? Even when Onitsha is a far better place with more finer buildings than Owerri which is reason most of our people from Imo state relocate to live there.

I have said it before that Imo state shall remain backward if people like this hacker continues to do this online fraud and propagandas.

Imo state can never move forward with propaganda and lies if it's online image launderers continues like this. Look at where this one pulled picture to deceive or impress the viewers? The other 2 pictures are not up to 3-4 blocks while the rest of the roads are in terrible conditions around the town. Let us start saying the truth for once so that our state can catch up with the rest of the states in the SE. Also look at its present horrible condition of the same roadabout/road this online hacker kept posting. Who did we offend in Imo State?

Branch out from this Ihioma road Orlu into the scores of other now dilapidated urban roads of Orlu; move into the dilapidated roads around the Imo international market Orlu and the University teaching hospital - the two economic nerves of the town - you may be tempted to curse whoever governs Imo state for being so insensitive to the plight of Imolites in Orlu and visitors to the area. You may insinuate that governor Okorocha is purposely stifling the town and impoverish its people.

If you are unfortunate and remain in Orlu after a few minutes rain, you risk getting trapped by flood. Okorocha refused to complete Orlu urban drainage system, even though he acknowledges in video chats that his government is yet to complete the drainage system.

The same Ihioma road Orlu expanded since 2013 purposely to link Okorocha's hometown in Ideato, that's what you continue to paste since 2013 each time Orlu is mentioned.

Why wasn't the other most travelled Amaigbo road in Orlu expanded up to Eziachi (1.5km) or to Nkwerre? In a day, about 100 minibuses from Akwa Ibom, Cross River and Abia states going to Onitsha and to Lagos convey passengers through this Amaigbo road, Orlu.

Talk is that there is no new road for new layout built by Okorocha government in Orlu to expand the old city.
I toured Imo state during xmas period, the truth is that the entire state is wholly under developed. The few roads done by Rochas have all gone bad already. Don't envy us in Owerri because in reality Owerri is a total mess. Presently the difference between Owerri, Okigwe and Orlu aren't much except that Okorocha resides in Govt House Owerri. I think I agree with the poster who said that Owerri, Nnewi and Nsukka are at the same level because when you look at these towns in term of size, outlook, economy, population..they are still the same. .

My brother, the truth be told, I am a resident of Owerri, nothing has actually changed in Owerri. The flyover, Okorocha started has not been completed and put to use since it was started 5yrs ago. The so called tunnel is more or less a death trap, even Okorocha has never used it. Filth and bad roads are over running Owerri. I hate it when some people come here to right rubbish whereas there is nothing going on, on ground. Let us start saying the bitter truth.
