There are 2 basic types of CNG kits in the market , the Sequential Kit and the Venturi Kit. Here’s how the two are different:
Venturi
Venturi CNG kits is a term that refers to the CNG mixing unit and how it delivers gas to the engine. Venturi kits are generally cheaper to install and less complex than sequential kits. A venturi kit behaves like a carburetor which dumps a fixed volume of gas based on throttle demand directly into the intake of the engine. A venturi-type CNG kit can be applied on any type of vehicle, whether it’s carburetor driven or fuel-injected, with or without an ECU. This type of CNG delivery is not very accurate and hence there are downsides of incorrect tuning that happen with venturi-type CNG kits.
The disadvantage of a venturi-type CNG kit is that since it feeds a fixed amount of gas into the intake , there are issues of loss of pickup and stalling occasionally, when there is too much or too little gas in the system. It needs to be frequently serviced and calibrated accurately, which not everyone can get right.
Advantages of the venturi type of CNG kit is its low cost of installation.
Bullying people online has turned you into a shy guy, you couldn't even look into the camera. I was expecting to see a tall, huge guy. Thanks for the heads up.
germany7946: Good day, I have a Toyota Corolla 2005, For sale, still in good condition, with few mileage. I actually bought it for Bolt/Uber Business in Dec.2022 but the guy driving it is not responsible, so I decided to sell it out. Please any serious buyer can indicate here or drop contact.
Go to oshodi, their headquarters, don't narrate what happened to them at the gate, just tell them you are from the ministry of Justice or transport, and you have a message for the provost. Explain your situation to the provost.
Or ask to see Femi Jacobs at that same Agege, he used to be their commandant. I am not sure if he is still there. But oshodi na d best place to go.
Well like I said earlier that's the reason why you complain of these cars being expensive to maintain...!
- brake disc, how do you do you know its not warped?? Worn, resurfaced ?? - brake pads, the silly claim that they are better than new is appalling - radiator of all things u replace with a used unit?? Why because a gummed up radiator is better than a new unit??
If you talked about modules and body parts I wouldn't have even batted an eyelid...
Imagine going to buy a - used toothbrush - used socks - used underwear - used handkerchief
You like to talk off point. Are we discussing Range Rover parts, or are we comparing BMW X5 to Range Rover? If anyone is deluded, it is definitely You.
The range rover of 2003-2012 Era is quite a heavy car. There are certain things you shouldn't buy as tokunbo unless you want to fix it again in a very short period. Brake pads, Ballon, drive shift, height sensors, even fuses! These one's should be bought as original if you want peace of mind.
Be deceiving yourself, as if the e70 is a light car.
Users are the one who complain about maintenance being expensive . Why use a tokunbo balloon and have to replace it in a few weeks or months, when the new balloon will last you another lifetime of the vehicle?!
Tokunbo of such parts are the problem, pennywise pound foolish IMO
Breakpad tokunbo is what you called pound foolish?? Breakdisc?? Even a tokunbo radiator is what you called pound foolish?? For a 2010 car!! You're not serious right??
Hmmm. I was reading it and amused. The market for parts is not restricted and so I will say it might be true if you are buying used parts. Why should someone buy used parts for his Range Rover? He wants to save money. These used parts are naija used parts that they will always claim are tokunbo. Rear balloon at 25k is glaring that it is a used balloon removed from a car demolished by the part seller to sell as toks. Someone once towed his Range Rover Sport 2010 from Abuja with the engine already dismantled and wanted us to go to ladipo and get another engine. I suggested a rebuild but he wanted a used engine. He finally came to Lagos and got one for 3.9m and I was glad when the part seller told him that he would prefer he recommends a mechanic to fix it and we towed the car to the guy. They fixed the engine and the noise from the engine and the over heating destroyed the engine the second time but in the mechanic workshop. Bottom line, let all serviceable parts be brand new in order to renew the long lasting duration of the car. There's no amount of damage to an engine that cannot be rebuilt. I will advise everyone to leave those engines being bandied as toks for us to buy as parts and not as complete engines. An engine destroyed by low octane fuel, poor quality oil can never serve any good purpose. It's good to ask questions but all I can tell you is that the balloon that used to be 75k five years ago is now 140k for the front side.
This your response though! Lol Balloon (new) at 140k is not expensive. Ordinary x3 e83 front shocks is around that price. The way you talk about this RR, one will think the maintenance is too costly. Using tokunbo parts shouldn't be a problem. Well, you be mechanic, I understand
Fun fact about most Range Rover owners (especially those who bought it when BMW was the manufacturer) they usually own/drive a BMW. That said, I owned an L322 and two E60s...I dey go ladipo myself ooo.
The prices are surprising but since you trust the mechanic/supplier why did you post the chat on social media?
I just wanted sooperrescue to see and say something about it. Some cars has cheap mechanical parts and very expensive electrical parts. I want to know if that's the case with the LandRover especially RRS.
Hahaha...run ooo. I owned a range rover about 7years ago and the prices weren't this cheap, even with the current inflation.
That was 7 years ago. I also remembered a time when the parts price are very high. Moreover, maybe you are the type that would just give money to the mechanic without checking things out yourself. This guy has no reason to lie to me. I don't use a RR, I own a bmw e70 and most bmw parts sellers sell LandRover parts.
The Range Rover man, how is the maintenance of the RRS 2009/2010 now? I asked a part seller for the prices of some of the parts of the 2010 RRS , he gave me some ridiculously low prices compare to how you make it feel here. Below are the screenshots, they are even cheaper than my bmw e70 parts.
Hi guys, I drove my cousin 2007 q7 from Lagos to Ibadan. I loved the performance and movement. Just like the bmw x5. The q7 4 wheel drive (Quattro) is superb. I am thinking of acquiring the q7. I love the masculine look, the gait! Please how is the maintenance? What are pros and cons?
