givedemwotowoto:
If shame no de catch you for lies, show us the numbers between 1999 and 2015 when Tinubu ushered in APC into power as national leader
If you can read in english, that is what you asked for.

Nigeria CPI Data (1999–2015)
1999: Score 1.6 / 10, Rank 98 out of ~99 countries
2000: Score 1.2 / 10, Rank 90 out of ~90 countries
2001: Score 1.0 / 10, Rank 90 out of ~91 countries
2002: Score 1.6 / 10, Rank 101 out of ~102 countries
2003: Score 1.4 / 10, Rank 132 out of ~133 countries
2004: Score ~1.4 / 10 (approx.), Rank 144
2005: Score ~1.9 / 10 (approx.), Rank 152 (one of the lowest rankings historically)
2006–2009: Scores remained low, typically around 2.2–2.5 / 10, with ranks in the 130–150 range (exact year-by-year varies slightly by source, but consistently poor).
2010: Score 2.4 / 10, Rank ~134
2011: Score 2.4 / 10, Rank ~143
2012: Score 27 / 100, Rank 139
2013: Score 25 / 100, Rank 144
2014: Score 27 / 100, Rank 136
2015: Score 26 / 100, Rank 136 out of 168 countries
During this period (1999–2015), Nigeria was consistently perceived as one of the more corrupt countries globally, often ranking in the bottom third or lower. The early 2000s saw particularly low scores (around 1–2/10), reflecting perceptions during the post-military transition era. Scores improved slightly after the scale change in 2012 but remained low (mid-20s/100), with little significant progress. For context, a score below 30/100 indicates serious corruption problems.

Kobojunkie:
1. Oh, that's easy! Most Nigerians who emigrate do not necessarily adopt healthier eating habits as a result. Many of them retain the unhealthy eating habits from back in Nigeria. Show up at any Nigerian cookout, and you will rarely find a salad or anything green and healthy on the table.

2. Look, it does not matter whether the eggs and bananas are imported from another country. What matters and is most important is that they are available and affordable. 🥱🥱

I just went to purchase 10 dozen eggs for $0.75 a dozen this past Saturday. Do you seriously think that when I was packing up those eggs, I was wondering what country they came from? Hell no! What was on my mind was instead how many different ways I can eat those eggs before I get bored or tired of eggs. 🥱🥱🥱
75 cents for a dozen eggs? I need to know your grocery supplier! Even Costco, which usually has the cheapest eggs, sells 5 dozen for about $20, so that's $4 a dozen if I remember my math correctly.

We have moved further down. It’s worse now. Stop lying.
Here are Nigeria's CPI details for the last 5 years, compiled from Transparency International reports and consistent sources:
2025: Score 26/100, Rank 142/182 (no change in score from 2024; slight rank drop due to more countries or shifts)
2024: Score 26/100, Rank 140/180
2023: Score 25/100, Rank 145/180
2022: Score 24/100, Rank 150/180
2021: Score 24/100, Rank 154/180

Perhaps that will refresh your memory, I know you dont want to believe anything good about Nigeria, so no surprises there.

We are not there definitely but from a score of 24 in 2021 to a score of 26 in 2024, still maintained in 2025 is small steps in the right direction.

HealthRe: One Reason Why Canadians Live Longer Than Nigerians by loffyloffy: 12:48pm On Feb 10
MockingBird:
I'm a Nigerian and I currently live in one of the coldest provinces in Canada with no plans to return back to Nigeria any time soon as it is clear that Nigeria has become over 10 times worse since I left Nigeria about 4 years ago.

The current average life expectancy of Canadians is 83 years versus 55 years for Nigerians. The question that begs for answer therefore is that what are the factors that are responsible for this great difference in average life expectancy.

I may not be able to point to all, but from my close observation having lived in both countries, I have noticed that one major reason for this is DIET.

First thing I noticed is that Canadians have access to lots of fruits and vegetables and these are not just for a select few but they are available and affordable to everybody in the society. It might shock us as Nigerians to know that even though banana doesn't grow in Canada, Canadians eat way more Banana that Nigerians do. Banana (whether organic or GMO) is available to Canadians every single day of the year. Same with Plantains.

As a matter of fact, I learnt how to bake Banana bread because often times, you may have over ripe bananas at home which may not be edible but could be only be used for one thing - Banana bread. So without learning how to bake banana bread, you will have lots of banana getting rotten and thrown away at home.

On the flip side, as one who stayed in Abuja, Nigeria and driving through Berger I remember buying Banana from women and girls hulking banana around the Utako market. Back then it was usually for around N1,000 to N1,500 for a decent bunch. I don't know how much they may be now with the worsened state of the economy. In Canada, you can buy one or two fingers of banana if that is your wish. In Nigeria, you dare not as you will immediately be cursed by the sellers. There are far far more fruits and vegetables that Canadians eat that Nigerians would have no access to.

The second reason I think Canadians have better health compared to Nigerians is because of their access to proteins compared to Nigerians. By proteins, I mean eggs, milks, chicken, meat and fish. Their milk here is majorly a sugarless liquid in 1 to 4 liters compared to the sweetened powdered and tin milk we have in Nigeria. The average Canadian drinks milk like water compared to a Nigerian and you can be sure of the nutrients in the milk as their dairy industry is heavily protected and regulated with price ceilings specified by the government.

My summary therefore is that nutritious food availability is one of the major reasons why a resident of one country may live longer compared to a resident of another country. What do you think. Let me hear your thoughts.
Well while generally the lifespan of canadian is 83 years as you stated, I don't think the lifespan of Nigerian that immigrated to Canada is anywhere close to that.

I am in the Nigerian community and we hear of a lot of Nigerians here dieing in their 50s and 60s.

While I agree with you that Canadians have better diets all year round, compared to Nigeria, I must point out to you that most of those fruits and vegetables are imported from other countries. Infact with the exception of maybe apples, I doubt if canada actualy produces any other fruit. The main agriciltural output in Canada is grains and potato. Canadians by Nigerian standard are rich and can therefore afford to import their fruits and vegetables, some from poorer countries like mexico and southt american countries.

As for milk, it is abundantly available as Canada is a major producer of diary profucts

Health care off course is a key advantage for canadians. The health care system is tailored focus on prevention and early detection of serious health issues. There is a long line but everyone in Canada have a free access to their doctors and the labs, where they test for practilly everything annualy. Nigeria could learn from that and build more labs for our teaming population.

Let me point out at this stage that all of Canada is just like SW Nigeria by population, probably even less, and land area is like all of west Africa, so Canada is not crowded, this could improve health outcome.

Lastly the weather in Canada kills bacteria and other pathogens during the hash winter months, whereas the weather in Nigeria and our general disregard for basic hygene notures pathogens, hence Nigerian fall sick more often than Canadians.

PoliticsRe: I Denied Remi Tinubu My Platform To "Cover Up Christian Genocide" - Tony Perkins by loffyloffy: 10:25pm On Feb 08
WorkTheTalk:
American TV show host Tony Perkins has revealed that First Lady Remi Tinubu approached him to discuss religious freedom issues in Nigeria, but he rejected her request because he does not want his platform used to cover up for happenings in Nigeria.

Mr Perkins, who hosts Washington Watch, disclosed this during an edition with U.S. lawmaker Chris Smith on February 4, when religious freedom was discussed.

Mr Smith was speaking about President Bola Tinubu’s government denying the killing of Christians in Nigeria and yet hiring American lobbyists to downplay the issue when Mr Perkins revealed Mrs Tinubu approached him to be featured on his platform.

“The First Lady of Nigeria was here this week, and in fact, they wanted to come on the programme to talk about religious freedom, and I said, ‘I’m not gonna meet with them or have a meeting with anybody,'” Mr Perkins said.

The broadcast journalist added, “I’m not gonna give them a platform to cover up what they’re doing in Nigeria.”

The first lady did not immediately respond to Peoples Gazette’s request for comments.

Mrs Tinubu visited the U.S. and attended the National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday. Her presence was recognised at the event by President Donald Trump, a development that pro-Tinubu supporters celebrated as a major diplomatic win for the Nigerian government amid pressure from the U.S. government.

Mr Tinubu has been under pressure from the American government since Mr Trump declared Nigeria a Country of Particular Concern over the alleged killing of Christians in November.

The first lady’s visit came months after Mr Tinubu splashed millions of dollars on Republican lobbyists to burnish his tainted reputation in Washington following Mr Trump’s 2025 remarks denouncing Nigeria as “a disgrace” under his leadership.

Linzo:
I have reviewed the current situation in Nigeria carefully, and it is clear that almost 98% of the senators currently in office would lose their seats in 2027 if elections were to be truly free, fair, and results mandatorily transmitted in real time.

The only senator I know who could realistically survive such an election is Senator Abaribe.

How many Senators do you know, I doubt it if you coykd name the senator of the community you live in, or 10 senators without looking at a refeence.

You only know Abaribe because he supports your point of view and you are assuming everyone in Abaribe's coverage area is happy with him.

Even in my own senatorial district, Delta North, Ned would not survive a credible contest against any serious Kwale candidate such as Tilije, Osanebi, or my brother and comrade, Ozegbe.

Name any senator you believe could survive 2027 under a genuinely free and fair electoral process.

According to the latest released Epstein files, Bill Gates had approached Jeffrey Epstein asking for advise on how to secretly administer drug treatments for an STD infection he(Gates) assumed he might have infected his wife with.

Gates had contracted the infection from a Russian prostitute he had a dalliance with and had approached Jeffrey Epstein on how he could secretly administer drugs for the infection to his wife whom Gates believed he might have passed the infection on to.

Bill Gates was notorious as a young man for having a horde of prostitutes on his beck and call when he was young and this got to the know of his parents who demanded Gates gets married. His marriage to his now ex wife was an arranged marriage brokered by Gates' parents. Gates, who is well known to have visited Epstein Island on several occasions was still going about carrying prostitutes.

Melinda must have found out on her own or Gates must have done the right thing and told her to see a doctor and confessed to have had an STD which might have led to their divorce.

Brendaniel:
Thank you for posting this, I was just about to address this aspect, If Nigeria earned 55 trillion from only crude oil sales alone then where did all the money go to?

The total earning of 2025, from tax, crude oil, gas and every revenue was 10 trillion.

it is either APC government headed by Tinubu have stolen most of the money or they have borrowed most of the earnings from the past through loans(including Buhari), if so, Nigeria is only getting only less than 10% of the 55 trillion because of bad governance...
How can 10 trillion be less than 10% of 55 trillion? What school do you go to? I want to check something.

A basic understanding of English would have shown you from the article that even the 10 trillion is a projection at the beginning of the year, and as of June of that year, we are already doing 14 trillion due to massive growth of non-oil revenue under this government. If that holds steady for the rest of the year, it means we could close the year with well above 30 trillion, which is closer to the 40 trillion the government projected at the beginning of the year.

What is important is that this government, despite increasing the total budget amount, has reduced the budget deficit by more than half compared to previous administrations. That shows an economy that is working and growing.

PoliticsRe: Did You Know This About The Entire Igbo Ethnicity by loffyloffy: 9:58pm On Jan 08
ariesbull:
Entire Igbo towns have survived, upgraded, and modernized because their people left (Traveled abroad).

Not because of oil.
Not because of federal projects.
Not because of NGOs.

But because Igbo migrants abroad organized themselves and sent development home deliberately.

This is not remittance.
This is parallel governance.

What Actually Happened:
From the 1970s onward, as Igbo men and women migrated to:

•the United States
•the United Kingdom
•Germany
•Italy
•Canada
•South Africa
•Asia

they did not dissolve into individual survival.
They reassembled abroad as town unions.
Same village.
Same town
Same obligations.
Distance changed nothing.

While governments debated budgets, Igbo town unions abroad:

•built hospitals where none existed
•funded schools when public ones collapsed
•graded roads abandoned by state authorities
•installed transformers and water systems
•rebuilt markets and civic halls

In some communities, every functioning public structure traces back to diaspora funding.
No logos
No plaques
No donors’ conferences.
Just completion.

Why This Is Not Normal

Most migrant groups send money to families.

Igbo migrants sent money to villages.

They taxed themselves.
They fined defaulters.
They published accounts.
They commissioned projects publicly.

Failure to contribute was not “unfortunate.”
It was dishonourable.

This was not generosity.
It was duty enforced by culture.

The Part No One Talks About

In many towns:
•diaspora funded schools outperform government schools
•clinics built by unions are the only ones with drugs
•roads built by town unions are the only ones that last

Yet these projects appear:
•nowhere in development rankings
•nowhere in donor reports
•nowhere in national pride narratives

They exist outside recognition.

This is not about money.

It reveals a system where:

•leadership is collective
•accountability is social
•progress is expected, not praised

A people who can:
•self-tax across continents
•coordinate without a state
•deliver infrastructure without aid

are not underdeveloped.

They are under-recognized.

The Question That Should Unsettle Us

If a people can build:

•hospitals from Houston
•roads from London
•schools from Milan

Then what they lack at home is not intelligence.
Not work ethic.
Not capital.

Today in many Igbo villages senior citizens and old people are being paid stipends from #50,000 upwards by wealthy individuals, those that are poor, many homes are built and given to them at no charge, no tax, no mortgage while their kids are taken to be shown the ways to make money ...that's capacity building !

It is alignment. It is self love, it is live for the community and it is live for the ethnicity! It is a testament of those that love and believe in themselves!

And alignment has restored Igbo communities and still do
No wahala, make they make sure they make sure they are paying their taxes sha

Kunlebayo12:
I’m on the verge of being rusticated in school

October when I was writing my final exams, something happened just 1 day to end the exam. So me and my friend wrote on our question paper and we exchanged it between ourselves. When I was writing this initiator started searching everyone he got to me and he search me there was nothing on me, he search my booklet yet nothing, he ask me where is my question paper and I showed him just the front because it was the back we wrote on, when he saw it he flipped the back and saw the question paper and ask me who wrote this and what is all this I told him I wrote it with all the back and font he told me to sit down

Minute later he went outside and bought exam malpractice form and gave me and others those who were using chukuli, phones, book and other material to write.

I beg him that I wrote it, all pleading fell to deaf ear, when I saw he was yielding and time was going and no time to beg I just had to fill the paper. I filled it so I can beg him later so I would be able to write something

To get the long story short, 3 days later I was invigated to the student disciplinary board to explain what happened Which I did, I pleaded and beg that it won’t happen again, thry told me I will be punished but not expelled
In my school examination malpractice is straight expulsion no matter who you may know.

2 days later I got I call from my classrep that I was given 2years rustication. I called the Hod and course adviser and they said it true, I check the name of student expelled my name wasn’t there, I confirm from the student discplinary board and truly I was recommended 2 years suspension but the result will be out on February 17th this year, and when it out my student portal will be shutdown immediately

Even since then I have been sad, depressed and lonely and I can’t even tell my parents because they will be disappointed in me, I have been carrying a burden since early November and now it January, I have been thinking none stop, I have been contemplating suicide to be honest, I don’t pray this kind of situation for my worst enemies and those who haven’t been will never truly knows the pain it cause till you’re in the situation

Please i need help and words of encouragement
Even if you blame me, the dead has already been done, I Bleep up and I accepted my mistake

Please guys I’m dying In silence, I can’t even wait till February 17th, it killing me knowing few days to graduation I was rusticated, what will I tell my parent, or people that have help me one way or another in school. I’m devastated to be honest embarassed embarassed cool embarassed

I might be ending it any moment from now because this pain is unbearable for me, I just want it to end so I can live a normal life again but I can’t keep living like this. Ignore my typo error

Please someone should help me push it to front page
Bros you are not rusticated, what you described is a 2 years suspension..its not the same as rustication.

Having said that you could go back and appeal for mercy, it is possible that they may choose to reduce the suspension period.

In addition to that you have to develop a plan for the period of your suspension, start a business, learn a skill, add value to your life and become a better you.

HealthRe: Medical Tourism Spending Crashes 96% As Local Healthcare Capacity Deepens by loffyloffy: 6:06am On Jan 05
Flets:
These are only half truths. Reasons for reduction are

1. Devaluation of Naira - Relatively Fewer folks could afford medical tourism
2. More stringent measures in sourcing FX for medical tourism through CBN. People who could afford it sourced through the black market.

CBN is only reporting the medical receipts they funded, totally excluded the black market economy
One major fault in your analysis is the fact that cbn and black market exchange rate are almost the same.

You are when you said, it is quite possible that more people are probably sourcing for funds for such purpose in the black market.

But the government is also right to say the medical capacity of Nigeria has deepened, we have more 'world class' private hospital now, than we used to have.

I know for a fact, that some people abroad uses Nigerian medical facilities when they can, because it is faster and cheaper as long as you can pay.

While the medical facilities abroad are much better, you are placed on que deepending on how serious the doctors feel your case is. If you have money and you want to jump the line, you can reach out to specialists in Nigeria who will give you faster attention as long as you can pay

From that September till December, we hanged out a lot and she came to my place exactly 5 times.
Let’s I forget, two weeks after the friendship started. I put her on 2k daily allowance and every two days #500 for recharge card. Not forgetting other things I bought for her sometimes.
Before most of una and especially the ones wey call themselves redpiller, begin yab me. 2k to me no be anything cus as a bus driver I make over 10k and above daily.

So, in the 5 times she has come to my place. She hasn’t allowed me make love to her apart from touching here and there. I tried all the convincing I can but to no avail.
Me no fit force or rape woman, so I always let her be.
Then she promised on the 31st night of December 2024, that we’ll get down, but she wants us to book a nice hotel for it.
I said no problem, on the D day, after putting every plans in motion. I called her by 6pm and asked how far. She told me she’s getting ready. I said no problem.
By 7pm, I called her again and she said she’s on top bike. I noticed it too cus there was vehicular noises here and there.
30 min later I called again and she said she’s about 10 min away from me. That was the last time I heard from her. I called and called, her line was not reachable until it finally went dead. I stayed in that hotel till daybreak heart broken. Bcus I have bought and prepared so many things that will make the night fun.
The next day, I packed the few things I can and left for my house. Tried her number severally again but switched off.
Then in the evening of 1st January last year which was the next day. A known number called me, and asked if I have seen her cus she hasn’t been home since last night and that she told her she was coming to me.
I told the person I last spoke to her 7:30pm last night, that ever since then her phone is switched off.
She said they too haven’t seen her or heard from her too. It became something of anger to panic mode to me.
I became worried about her.
There’s nothing that didn’t run thru out mind that day.
Has she been kidnapped, did she had an accident and so many other thoughts.
That same babe her friend that called me earlier kept calling me to know how far. Same answer from me.
The next two days I couldn’t go to work, panic has set in for me. What if that her friend bring police to my place, cus she said she told her it was me she was coming to meet. Luckily she called me after 3 days.
My people, as I am typing this. She hasn’t tell me what transpired that day, even after she left my place this morning after not seeing each other thru out last year.

So after the incident, I didn’t talk to her for a while. Three months later, we started chatting. But she hates me bringing the topic of what went wrong that night of 31st. So I totally stopped bothering her about it. Thru out last year I have been trying to invite her to my place, but it has been one excuses to another till last year ended and we didn’t see eye to eye.
So on the 31st night again which was 2 days ago, I teased her again, that shey she know it’s a year we haven’t seen each other. She promised to come see me on the 2nd which is today. And what do I have for her cus she didn’t eat my 1 naira thru out last year. I told her they’re many goodies and that I even have 10k to give her, but on one condition that she should not come to my place and start playing holier than thou attitude for me. I told her we must get down or she should forget about coming.
.
Like play like play she came truly. After entertaining her, we got down to the main business why I invited her. Luckily for me, she didn’t prove stubborn like before. Not until she said if not for the money I promised her she wouldn’t have come. She said this in the middle of our marathon race. I said within me, me sef know say na im make you come but I go suffer you with that money.
.
So after every every. She was about to go and asked for the money. I brought out 10k, counted it in her presence and after, did as if I wanted to give her, as she stretched her hand to collect it, I withdrew it back and asked her.
Are you a prostitute? She said no nah, and why did I ask?
I said cus it’s only prostitute that collect money for sex.
She felt embarrassed and asked what is my meaning.
I told her since she says she’s not a prostitute, I won’t give her the money but later when she gets home. That if I give her now, then she should take herself to be a prostitute in my sight. I opened my account balance to show her money more than the cash I had with me.
I told her to drop her account number, that either this evening or tmrw morning I will transfer the money to her, and at that time it won’t be as if I am paying for sex.
.
She looked at me for upto 2 min without saying anything and then finally said, if I am sure I will send it to her. I told her I cross my heart that I will do it. She grumbling gave me her account number and say what of transport fare. I said that’s not a problem, I squeeze 1k into her hand and escorted to take bike of #500.
It’s been over 3hrs she left, but she has reminded twice not to forget the 10k o.
.
So guys, I am having double thoughts. Not that I can’t give her the 10k. But another part of me is saying I shouldn’t and use it as pay back for what she did to me a year ago. Still the soft and good heart of me is saying forget pay back, give her the money and let her know you’re bigger than that.
.
P.S: lets I forget, that her friend that called me the last time about her missing. It seems they have quarrel, so she told me plainly that it was another guy she went to be with for that three days.
So all these are part of why I feel revenge in my mind.
So guys, what do you think I should do?
Give her the money or bullshit her? I have till 12pm tmrw to give her reply.
Tell her she will get the money if she tells you what happened that night.

If she oblige, give her, otherwise keep your money.

She owes you an explanation.
