Let me give you guys a short insight to understand that Peter Obi won 2023 Presidential election.


Tinubu allegedly won the election with 2million plus votes higher than Peter Obi's votes.


Now here is the shocker.


If you remove Peter Obi's votes that was drastically removed in Lagos and added to Tinubu's votes, Tinubu's total votes will shrink to around 6.5million to 7milion while Obi's own increases to 7million plus.


If you remove the massive votes Nyesome Wike added to Tinubu in Rivers state which was removed from Peter Obi's votes in Rivers, Tinubu's total votes will reduce to around 5million plus while Peter Obi's total votes heads towards 8million votes.


If you do the same for Borno, Plateau and Benue states where another round of massive vote reduction and addition happened, then you will understand that truly Mr Peter Obi won 2023 Presidential election and this is why Tinubu, his inner caucus plus APC leadership have been so angry and bitter towards Peter Obi since 2023 Presidential election, and the reason they focused all their attacks, criticisms and insults on just Peter Obi leaving Atiku they claimed came second.

The issue of GDP Is more about natural resources and esterblished business activities in the state.

Having said all that , Oyo state despite its lower GDP, have one of the highest IGR in the country, and is more able to sustain its budget, far more than any state in the SE.

That's one more thing for you to add to your list.

In fact only about 4 or 5 states are financially viable in the sense that they can survive without much support from the FG. Oyo is one of them, there is no single SE state on the list.

You missed my point completely, while the statistics that you gave here is correct, mine is also correct as mine is looking at a different thing entirely.

Let me explain.

PO got 85% of the total votes cast in the SE, while all his opponents combined only got about 15% in the SE.

Now note the SE have the lowest votes in the country, so it is not surprising that his 85% only translated to 33% of his total votes.

However in the NW he only got about 5% of the total votes, similarly in the NE about 10% of the total votes count. He did quite well in the Christian North Central States with about 33% of the votes and continued his bad results in the SW the second largest region by getting less than 20% of the votes from that region.

He performed woefully in all muslim heavy states and only did well in states with sizeable Christian and Ibo population.
