Hope you will come back with another twisted narrative. I go still burst am!! You missed my point completely, while the statistics that you gave here is correct, mine is also correct as mine is looking at a different thing entirely. Let me explain. PO got 85% of the total votes cast in the SE, while all his opponents combined only got about 15% in the SE. Now note the SE have the lowest votes in the country, so it is not surprising that his 85% only translated to 33% of his total votes. However in the NW he only got about 5% of the total votes, similarly in the NE about 10% of the total votes count. He did quite well in the Christian North Central States with about 33% of the votes and continued his bad results in the SW the second largest region by getting less than 20% of the votes from that region. He performed woefully in all muslim heavy states and only did well in states with sizeable Christian and Ibo population. slivertongue: PO secured 6 million votes across six geopolitical zones and won states across four geopolitical zones.
Proof to the platform that Abonyi is an aid PO. An assuming he is an aide should he keep quiet lies are told about a meeting he facilitated? A 'social climber' like Deji doesn't know the meaning of bribe. The repeated use of that word exposed him. Who is he for PO to bribe him?
I don't hope for a four horse race in 2027 I want a straight contest to avoid wasting state resources on a run off. But should that happen Tinubu won't get more than half of the votes he got in the North in 2023. The dynamics have changed PO too may get lessser votes in the North East and North West but may secure more votes in the North central than he got in 2023. Yes he did..5% in the NW, the zones with the highest votes and 10% NE and 19% in the NW. Compare that to 85% in the SE. |

ottersberger: Setting aside the rudeness of your language, let us address the substantive issue. Chief Afe Babalola actively conspired to have Mr. Farotimi arrested and detained in Ekiti, with the apparent intention of intimidating him into silence or punishing him extrajudicially until he was persuaded to retract. That was a raw display of power.
Mr. Peter Obi, by contrast, though clearly provoked and fully entitled to seek redress, has chosen to act in his character. He simply demands that Mr. Adeyanju cease and desist from further defamatory statements and retract his numerous libelous claims, or else have them tested through a proper judicial process.
Where, then, is the similarity you are attempting to draw?. Mr Adeyanju has now double down and refused to desist, we are all waiting for Mr Obi's next move. |

slivertongue: Did you read that Ike abonyi is journalist who facilitated deji's meeting Obi? Did you also read that he tried calling him to order but he never replied him? That is what happens when a man of substance pay attention to a charlatan. That character been running around PDP for patronage but didn't get it and is still looking for opportunity but now through falsehood. Even the use of the word bribe repeatedly show he is a lowlife trying to climb the social ladder using people's name. All his noise against obi didn't stop obi from getting 6million votes. You mean 6 million votes out of which 1.9 million came from the SE which is the region with the lowest numbers of registered voters another 1.5 million from the SS, where each of his rivals also got at least a 1 million votes. Outside this 2 regions , Obi's struggled to get close 1 million extra votes.. In others words close to 70% of the votes that he got are from his fellow Ibos, possibly up to 95% of his votes are from Christians in a country where nearly 50% of voters are Muslims. So yes he got 6million votes, the votes are concentrated and are more likely to shrink than grow. Compare that to BAT, who got at least 1 million votes in all the regions except the SE. There are more Christians that voted for BAT than Muslims that voted for Obi. As per the journalist, he is an aide of Obi, probably even a paid aide and you dont expect him to testify against his principal. |

slivertongue: The biggest mistake deji made was to lie against PO he should it court How do you know he lied , were you there? His aide that claim he was there is an intrested party, so his testimony is not relevant, you won't expect him to testify against his principal or do you? So it all boils down to what Obi said and what Deji said. Now it is not as if Obi has never lied before, so how can you be sure he is not the one lying in this instance? |

franchasofficia: The problem with you guys from the waste side is lack of understanding.
There is a difference between criticism and accusation.
There is a difference between criticism and character defamation.
It is the right of every citizen under democracy to scrutinize and criticize the sitting President and his regime.
It is also the right of people to criticize political figures like Peter Obi. But it becomes a personal thing and legal offense when you take it upon yourself to lie that someone tried to bribe you and you rejected his bribe when you know it is false, that's a suable offense that can easily be won in a country with working judiciary. If this was United States, Deji Adeyanju will be preparing for a long jail time by now.
He lied against Peter Obi by saying Obi tried to bribe him but as fire don de burn him bombom now, he is gradually revealing the truth that he lied that Peter Obi offered him bribe, you think say him no know say he will be found guilty on that very charge? He knows and that's why he started blabbing on Channels to indirectly clear his lies in case of possible lawsuit. Please show us the alternative universe you live in , where Deji Adeyanju has begun to reverse himself..in our own universe he has held up to every thing he said about Obi and has even added that 'Obi is a political prostitute' . He is excited that Obi sued him and he is glad to meet him in court. But as usual you see it different from the way average normal people will see it. |

Ajah to almost Epe is smooth wide concrete, the rest is asphalt and while there maybe one or two potholes at intersections due to persistent maintaining, it is a clear indication of illiteracy to use the word Ridiled to describe that. The projects in Lagos are for the people living there, the mumus criticising the govt here use the facilities in Lagos more than the ones elsewhere, without Lagos they and their business is dead. Lagos have more people, more business, pays the most tax and experiences the most congestion than any part of Nigeria. So it is not surprising that an objective govt gave it more attention. |

Brendaniel: Just kindly take your time and read the entire story again and see how Nigeria as a whole has descended so low with tribal profiling and witch hunt, the first time I read this story I knew a whole lot of things in the story were not adding up and I saw tribal profiling in the entire article:
1. Why woould you start a story with an Igbo trader and a Yoruba trader, was that necessary?
2. Why would you add the states where they come from, was that also necessary?
3. Imagine a whole police PRO telling bold faced lies with ethnic profiling and saying that the Igbo guy stabbed the Yoruba guy and then stabbed himself?
I said to myself that it doesn't add up, so 2 people were fighting and one stabbed the other and then decided to stab himself? I knew something was off and this has proved my point:
So you see the police in Lagos is playing ethnic card against the Igbo guy and they just want to charge him pure murder because he is Igbo, this is the level of damage Tinubu has done in Nigeria where tribe matters more in a crime committed than the crime itself I think you need to look back at yourself for the tribal card. There is a narrative that the police is trying to correct, and that is to dispel the rumours of a tribal war originally shared about the incident, hence the need to make clarification about what actually happened, mentioning the states of the parties involved is to buttress the point. Now on why the Ibo guy was charged, he killed another person in the heat of a dispute, it is not relevant Wether he was provoked or not, there is nothing tribal about that. |

FrankNetter: What made me choose travel nursing?
Some might say money, and they won't be wrong. But like anything else in my life, each big decision I make has to be backed by two solid logical rationales.
I graduated as a nurse with my associates degree in nursing in 2022 and since then, I have used my nursing degree A LOT!
The associates degree in nursing, in my opinion, is the fastest ticket to financial freedom in the USA. Let me explain further... Due to staffing shortages nationwide, nurses are always in high demand and owing to that fact, the wages are somewhat consistent. So once you graduate as a nurse with an associates degree, you could get a hospital job that starts you off making $35/hour and in my case, since I was working niight shift, I got $4 more and when I worked weekends $2 extra which is a total of $39/hr everyday and $41 on weekends.
The associates degree is a 2 year degree which is gotten from community colleges, (somewhat identical to Polytechnic education in Nigeria) but contrary to popular opinion, the associates degree in nursing has a sleeper build 😉. I say this because the hospital I worked at would start everyone on the same wages, so even I who had my associates degree, was getting paid the same as someone who had their master's degree in nursing.
When I moved from Nigeria 9years ago, I attempted, to no avail to send my transcripts from Imo state University (IMSU) and Imo state University teaching hospital (IMSUTH) to the USA so I could have my college dream continued here. After two years of trying, I decided to ditch it all and start afresh to chase a career in nursing. Following , I expect this to be an interesting and rewarding thread |
