The reality is you are coming in as an associate, so it doesn't really matter. But then it is still useful especially during your interview. How? If you passionate about IT related stuff, mention it and talk about it during your interview. you might most likely end up in risk assurance which includes IT audits |

Qizzie: which is more marketable in advisory and assurance. I even learnt advisory is more tighter to get into. Anyone that can shed mroe light on this. lol. PwC on your CV is gold. Experience in advisory/ assurance/tax/ internal services will open doors. I don't think it is much more difficult to get into advisory than assurance provided you meet the requirements. Making it to the interview is a 50-50 game( about 50% will get in). That is how good your chances are. P.S. (My opinion) |

Houston17: Thanks a lot boss.
I applied for both the tax position and advisory (though I prefer advisory cos that's where my interest lies). Only for me to get mail for advisory. I'm currently undergoing my MSc (about to start thesis), can this be a reason why I was shortlisted? Cos I included MSc in my CV Shortlisting is quite straightforward. You applied for the position. I guess you applied for advisory first and they considered only your application for advisory. If you meet one year experience criteria then you will be fine (my opinion and based on previous years). P.S. For those who chose assurance and tax, there is room to always move into other units like advisory. Just gather some experience in assurance/tax, opportunities will always arise within other units. |

Canopy2018: I disagree...he said next batch can come up next month with a stipulated date of exam. No idea where this information is coming from. PwC does not send send out invites in batches. Invites are sent out over a couple of days. Last year I received the invite on the second day. There is a timetable which is followed to the letter. |

This year's format might be different My experience:
the first stage SHL: It was basically past questions
Second stage SHL: Numericals- 10 questions- 15mins (no past questions) Verbal- 18 questions- 11 mins( no past questions)
It might take any form since it's just one SHL stage this year |

Qizzie: Seems you were part of the successful candidate last year yes, i got in last yr. Well for those yet to receive, relax and keep preparing, invites will roll in Little advice at this stage- prepare oooo. SHl might look cheap especially verbal but it's quite tricky.... I'm quite sure there is no verification this year, so there will be massive weeding at this stage (my opinion sha) What is the secret to acing this stage ....... Prepare!!! prepare!!! prepare!!! Good luck guys |

Swealy: So a person that applied for advisory role without 1 year relavant experience "won't" be shortlisted ? Based on previous recruitments it is a requirement for only advisory. I have no idea about this year |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Pwc Graduate Recruitment 2021 by lonewolf20: 11:29am On May 02, 2021 |
nisekoi: What of if you actually have a year of relevant experience but it's from NYSC, since they said post NYSC will you still be shortlisted? I can only speak from past experience. you will be required to have one year relevant experience only for advisory. But then rules do change and i have no idea if that is a requirement for this year. |

tree63: Now that the opening is closed. Hopefully we get shortlisted.
Atleast, we can have everyone come on board to make contributions here.
And also, to the OGAs; please we will appreciate your time and thoughts too.
Many thanks No worries. I believe most will get shortlisted except you applied for advisory without relevant 1 year experience( based on previous recruitments) My Little biased opinion- PwC recruitment is quite straightforward and easy to scale through if you are well prepared. For the SHL, i feel a good number of applicants always take the VERBAL for granted. It's the tricky part. Just prepare guys PwC is a great place to be. So Good Luck as you commence the process. |
