Alienist: Lol this your mentality is a bad one. A very bad one. If it were to be the exact questions, I'd understand. But this? Nah
I don't know you personally but from what you wrote, I can picture the kind of person you are.
I mean, you wrote your own test years ago, at least from what I saw here. So why are you gatekeeping? Is there something you stand to lose or gain?
But it's fine sha. You've made your point.
Shalom! It's fine to have a different opinion. But if you go through this thread you will see that @airsaylongcome has shared where you can get past questions to prepare. And he has been helpful throughout this thread. So I picture a selfless person. |

airsaylongcome: So applications opened November 2013 and resumption was September 2017. So nearly 4 years. Oil prices tanked at the time and the business had to manage a lot of costs with dwindling revenue. at some point we heard that the business was going to call of the entire process. From what we gathered, the outgoing MD, Babs (whom we never met) saw to it that the process got to a conclusion with GTs getting offer letters. There were also some other shenanigans which we heard through "back-channels" and which I am not going to mention here. But yeah, It was mostly as a result of the tanking of prices which made it a questionable decision to increase salary costs when revenue was dwindling Thanks. |

Hi @airsaylongcome. I noticed that the 2013 recruitment lasted for over 3 years. Was there any particular reason for that? |

Scholar94: To point no 5, what do you think were the otherfactors they considered before posting people to pH and abj and would you advise one, during interview lay emphasis on joining Lagos office if there is room for that? Thank you Unit capacity plays an important role during allocation. The reality is you can do very little to influence your location at this stage. Majority will be posted to Lagos. So you might have nothing to worry about if you wish to be in lagos. P.S. Some will be in Energy(Lagos) but most of your jobs will be in other states. |

PWCinJesusname: Quick question, will we all be posted to Lagos? Can we choose or request to be posted to Abuja branch or is this recruitment only for Lagos? 1. Let's assume there are no changes this year. You have to be in lagos for the training even though it is virtual. 2. Nope, some will be posted to PH and Abuja by HR. 3. No, You cannot choose 4. what is the criteria? So many factors but house address played a huge part last year( those who used PH and ABJ were posted to PH and ABJ respectively). 5. BUT.... Some were still posted to Abuja and PH despite using lagos. 6. You can request to swap location. Find someone willing to swap location. It's easier if you guys are in the same unit. Reach out to HR. Make sure you get it done during training. |

I believe strongly non of the experienced hire candidates have received either successful or rejected mail yet. And please how can we get the HR official mail, thank you sir. Some have concluded the interview. I have no idea if the interviews are still ongoing. Hence the possibility of a waiting list. |

Boypeace1: @lonewolf20 and gidob.. Please help us the experience hire (Tax line of service) prospect who wrote test since 8 may and no information afterwards. Not even feedback of the online test. Please you guys assist us inquire on the status of ours or are we just going to continually be in the dark. Please assist There is no timeline for experienced hire as I believe recruitment depends on vacancies in the tax LOS. So it is much more difficult to tell if they have concluded or there is still a waiting list. You should reach out to HR immediately. |

dannypaul: Please can we have comments from those who opted for Advisory.
What should we be preparing for? Will the interview pattern be different from assurance? Are we to expect ore experience based and less behavioural interview questions or both?
I'll appreciate comments from those who made it to PwC through the Advisory route or those with first hand information.
Thank you. Advisory/tax interview will be very similar to that of Assurance The only difference will be the 5mins impromptu speech/ discussion. It will be much more technical than assurance. For Advisory, have a good understanding of current economic developments. Check out the post of @cycklerhimself page 40 of PwC 2020 thread. For Tax, I can't say much.... Update your tax knowledge Assurance questions will come from topics you have come across. They are generic in nature. Terrorism, insecurity, covid 19, data privacy, economy, education,health......... P.S. last year Advisory kicked off the interview |

gidob: Boss, do you have an idea of how many persons on average are invited for interview? Do you think we would be as many as 500? I will respond based on research carried out on past recruitments. This year might be different. With the little I know PwC has the highest rate of employment based on those who made it to the Final interview. About 50 percent will get in. That means, If they decide to take in about 120, then those who made it to the interview should be about 240- 300. That's how good your chances are. Make the most out of it. |

Beige21: Thank you so much for this reply. I regret not opting for advisory now cause I'm beginning to find audit so monotonous and boring and I'm wondering if I want to continue with that. Since it's to late to mention that would just leave it and maybe bring up the years of experience later on in the interview if there is an opportunity for it. Thanks again . Not to worry, I'm in assurance but i still got a job allocation in advisory |

raydatluvs: what could be the fate of those of us who did not attach the scratch card at first and I just had to resend at 2pm. fingers crossed and hopefully, it does not disqualify me. But the PWC guys here who confirmed there was no need for it, why confirm when you do not have accurate information. sighhhhh Wow. Your point has been noted. I understand your frustrations but the reality is scratch card or no scratch card, submitting even after the deadline, you will still get your interview invite. Your concern should be how to scale your interview because you have already proven you deserve it. PwC will not disqualify you over scratch card. The "PwC guys" are only here to help based on our experiences but you can always reach out to HR Incase you feel misled. |

omodasolamary: Great having you on this thread. your contribution on the 2020 thread is really massive. You have been of great help Please, do you have an idea of when feedback will be provided for the experienced hire test done about three weeks ago? I don't know much about the experienced hire, but my personal opinion: given the fact that there has been no OPQ, i'm guessing it might be straight to interview stage (kindly note, this is my opinion). But one thing is certain. they will definitely get back to you |

raydatluvs: Almost a year into it, how has it been for you? Could you share your experience? Also for someone who chose advisory, at what point do we choose our preferred units? Can you share what the pay benefits is too? Thank you 1. It's been a wonderful experience. You are provided with valuable courses which helps prepare you for the job. It's more of Learn on the Job, so expect to be thrown in immediately after the virtual training. Fortunately you get to experience the busy season immediately . 2. Unfortunately you don't get to choose your unit. But "don't keep quiet about your strengths or preferred unit during the interview." 3. The pay question . Let me put it this way. People take pay cuts to get in PwC. It's worth it because you move up pretty fast /exposed to world class learning environment/ experience is pure gold. But you must play your part in discharging your duties. |

Soar19: Please don't say there's no special tip o. This is my 4th or 5th time of taking this test and first time of getting to the next stage and everyone keeps saying no right or wrong answer including my own sister. What did you people do that you were picked over others that took the personality test with you? Is it just consistency, vibes and insha Allah? Well it's just my opinion and you are allowed to keep searching for the "special tip" All i did was to go through PwC thread . Focused on those who made it through OPQ stage and implemented their "thought process" I do not subscribe to the idea of there is no right or wrong answer. If you cannot demonstrate the personality of a PwC person, then there is no need for you to be employed. Secondly you cannot have split personality. In summary 1. Be a PwC person= know PwC's CORE CORE CORE values 2. Avoid having Split personality= Be consistent ( BUT you can't be 100% consistent) 3. Every other thing thrown in there is NOISE. P.S Hope this helps your search for the "magic pill" |

Themanwithnonam: If you were smart enough, you would know that the tests are outsourced to external parties(SHL) and only the results get sent to PwC and the interviews are organized inhouse. Anyways, i don’t think i have anything to prove to you and oh, yes i dont have an interview guide(I definitely agree with that) because i dont have anything to prove to you. P.s- simply because most of us are anonymous, you dont know who is who I don't know who you know but I am proof that you don't need to know anybody or have special "insider information" to get into PwC. All you need is to go through previous threads ( especially 2020). PwC interview is straightforward. Just be prepared. You will get in. There is no "special tip" to get into PwC |

Big congratz to those who made it through. You have left Egypt. Now you have to cross the Red sea(OPQ). Keep pushing till the promise land
For those who did not, I have been there, I know how it feels. It doesn't mean you are not good enough. It's just impossible to take everyone. Weep today, pick up tomorrow and keep pushing on, doors will open.
For those yet to receive, I understand the tension and emotions but I believe you will get your mail before OPQ begins. Just exercise patience. If for any reason you don't get your mail by Monday. I will advise you to simply reach out via mail. You will definitely be attended to. |
