BBc conducted interviews about a month ago, and started distributing appointment letters to successful candidates from Wednesday this week. Guess that allows you to mourn and move on with your life. There'll be others. |
Successful candidates have been contacted. I was interviewed on the 21st at their head office. The primary aim of the position is to prepare for and pass the ICAN exams (which they'll pay for), while getting hands on experience by participating in financial audits with their accountants and auditors. The pay is crappy though. Don't think I'll accept. |
Abeg o, I was shortlisted for the pre-interview after the test, but have not recieceved an invitation for interview. Is it in batches, or should I start freaking out? Talk to me somebody. |
@rexfx2, you no get wahala, just show up on any of the appointed days, as long as you were invited. omo, big ups to insight comm. it was my best experience in test writing. cheers! |
Insight Comm. is among the top advertising agencies in Nigeria, and is a really good place for creative minds to find expression, plus the pay is good. Why they're doing the tests Saturday/Sunday, i believe, is out of consideration for those who are working. They really have a lot of people to test (abt 5000) so they're spreading the test over two/three weekends. Maybe other employers could learn from their organisation. Hope this helps. |

There's this issue in certain aptitude tests that is ambiguous. Where you have the instruction: YOU WILL NOT BE PENALIZED IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO ANSWER A QUESTION What should this be interpreted as? Does it simply mean that if you leave a question you'll simply forfeit the marks for it (explicit meaning); or that if you attempt a question and fail it, that marks will be deducted? What's your take on this? |
A friend is someone with whom you can seat quietly with and still not be bored |
What you do is this: You visit www.careers.deloitte.com at the bottom are two sections; experienced hires and students/graduates. Click on "Enter in the Student/Graduate" Section On the page that opens, there is a small column to the extreme right that says "Current Vacancies" at the top. Click on that and from the page that opens you can select one of the two positions listed. Click on "Associate Financial Analyst" More details of the job requirements are stated there. You can then apply online. It's all of five pages though, so eat well before you begin. Hope that helped. Cheers! ![]() |
Fidelity Bank's test is basically mathematical aptitude (some business math included), verbal reasoning and logical reasoning; about 40 questions in 1 hr. Kinda tough, but if you know your onions, you'll scale through. When you make it to the interview, they'll ask you to talk about yourself. you give them pretty much what is in your CV. Then questions like, what makes you feel you can work for us, what do you know about us, and if your course in not directly related to banking, they'll ask you the relation between your course and banking. You'll be expected to ask them a question. You may as stuff relating to their structure, goals, values, etc. It most liekely will be a marketing position, and they'll ask you if you have what it takes. Over to you. |
Feez, For folks who are applying for the coming September batch, the bank will get in touch with you between 2 weeks and one month before camp to come write a test. If you are successful, you'll be posted to the closest branch to where you will be serving, Allowance is 30k; not bad by corper standards. Goodluck! |
People, I wrote the Access Bank test in Asaba as an NYSC member on 17th May and was selected for the interview, which was conducted the same the same day. The Batch A corpers (5 of them) were taken to serve in the bank while those of us in Batch B (3 of us) were told we would be contacted after the service year, which ends this August. My question is; is this a guarantee that I will be employed? Folks have started congratulating me, but don't want to count my chickens before they hatch. I need to know so I'll know whether to intensify my search elsewhere. Looking forward to your response. |
[s][/s] Hey, Dullard! Congrats on your offers. Since you applied for these non-engineering positions, I suppose you are open to a radical career switch; in which case, I would recommend KPMG. Come on man, you went for the KPMG interviews and saw the staff - it's a place with vibe, the people there are driven, thorughly professional, well respected, and are only headed one way - UP. NNPC is rather too govt type, elevation is not necessarily based on merit, and from stories we hear, its corruption level is almost at par with the police. Would have been a decent choice sha, if these others were not there. As for Diamond Bank, I think that is a no-no for you. They'll suck you dry. That's my two cents. |
