There is no business that is not profitable, it all boils down to the location.
Engine oil business is a profitable business only in the long run. If you don't have any other areas where you can be getting financial support in helping yourself it will be very difficult to break even cos of the profit margin. That is the area location matters, because if you are getting lot of customers who patronize it will be far better than been in a location where you cant even make up to 2000 profit a day .

Think of farming, farming of tree crops majorly. If I say farming, don't think of maize and cassava o. Not your regular farming. You can do the following, castor, mushroom, sunflower, jathropha, cricket, stevia. You don't even need 100k for an hectares of castor for example, Around 30k should go for seeds for an hectares and and hectares should give you almost half of tonnes after 3 months. Half of a tonne currently is around 1million naira. All these aren't something you can just see anywhere. they are scarce and very profitable. Only those who research, read, will know how profitable those stuffs are.
Also, you can learn export business, with just 50k there's something you can send overseas that you will gain like 450k. So, don't think those stuffs are money intensive. Only that most don't read, research.

Who told you so? My filing was approved in Jan 2013, that's 10 years ago. Visa bulletin shows priority date for 2008. Even if it moves every month which is impossible, that's another 5 years to go.

With the way things are now, prepare for a 20 year wait from the time your application is approved. Mine will be a retirement plan if I'm still interested by then. In another 10 years, I wouldn't be too far off from retirement.

No sir. You calculate from your PD not approval date. And concerning movement it depends on availability of visa. It can move up drastically. Backlogs are being cleared. I maintain that it can't be 20 years.

Note that If your case if current but being delayed by ur embassy, I think you can expedite. Or you transfer your case.

My wife and kids used to go to the US for holidays, however, since I added them to my application, they've been refused a B1/B2 visa. I don't know if it's because they now have a pending immigration filing. Some people say it doesn't matter if you've been filed for that you can still visit but I seriously doubt that, the American's are not stupid. You could easily travel and go and wait out the process in the US.

Sometimes it looks like this thing has become a hindrance, as my family and I can't visit the US. We've had to try other places for family visit. That is the 'curse' of an immigrant visa application for me.

Apart from F1 and F2, the other category is a waste of time. My PD is Jan 2013, that's like 18 years wait as things currently are. I was unmarried and a young man when I was applied for, now I'm married with kids. Thankfully, I'm moved up in my career and life is pretty good. By the time the application becomes current, by God's grace, I'd have risen really high in my career and I don't see myself leaving to go and stay abroad.

The only thing is I'd like my kids to actually relocate but the issue is if I, the principal applicant can refuse to go while my dependents go? It will be crazy for me to relocate at my age and status in like 10 years from now.

My advice is for people to take this US immigrant visa thing with a pinch of salt and focus elsewhere. Forget it exist and just keep building yourself and if it happens along the way, fine. US immigration process is just crazy.
