SmartPolician:
The only reason Americans were even considering reelecting Donald Trump was that they were left with a terribly bad option in Joe Biden. Joe Biden was too old that he became an embarrassment to the country.

Considering how Donald Trump watched over one million Americans die of COVID and still played politics with the pandemic, if Americans reelect Donald Trump in the next election, then those people are as dumb as Nigerian voters.
I have heard such sentiments directly from some of them.

FamilyRe: I Finally Lost My Dad Due To My Failure by LordIsaac(m): 9:23pm On Jul 30, 2024
DevIbk:
My dad was the cornerstone of our lives. I watched helplessly as the man who had once seemed invincible became increasingly burdened by life's struggles. He was a steadfast figure, the one who ensured we had everything we needed and offered unwavering support. I promised myself that one day I would repay his sacrifices.

But life had other plans. Despite my best efforts, I struggled to find a job that could offer the financial stability I needed. Each rejection letter and missed opportunity felt like a blow to my resolve.

As the months turned into years, the financial strain on our family deepened. My dad’s health began to decline, and the pressure to support him became more urgent. I could only watch in despair as his condition worsened, knowing that I wasn’t able to provide the care he deserved.
In the end, I lost my dad not to a specific event but to the quiet, persistent failure to be the support he needed in his final years. His memory now serves as a painful reminder of my shortcomings. RIP dad 😭
It's not your fault....I lost my dad too under similar circumstances. I know you'd rather that he went to rest than continue to suffer. Please take heart and rest in the fact that he has gone to rest!

Election loosers trying to get at the president through the back door. We are watching you but if you try any nonsense in Lagos, you will know that 2024 is not endsars time. All their agenda to destroy Lagos won't work.
From all I have read so far, I agree that Obidients are behind this...they want to bring the nation down because their leader lost.
PoliticsRe: Court Restricts Protests In Lagos To Freedom, Peace Park by LordIsaac(m): 8:56pm On Jul 30, 2024
TopBanter:
Bro, when security risk are established, Governments can be allowed by law to do anything. Literally.

Ask USA that spirited citizens of other nations from their homes, to include those from the UK, they locked up in Guantanamo Bay without access to lawyers, their families or anyone at all.

All under the umbrella of "national security" that virtually overrides all laws. Maybe you think judges have time to be playing detective rather than simply listen to and agree with what national security agencies like DSS etal advise them must be done to prevent anarchy.

You people better watch yourselves and stop listening to the fake lawyer on your street who has never seen the inside of a courtroom.
It is clear now that the motive is not just protests; I fully agree with the powers that be. Obidients are playing all the cards they have. But in a Nigeria like the one we currently have, they won't succeed!

He is completedly wrong... Let's look at it this way, what is our population? 200million right?
How much is our annual budget as a nation? That is into trillions right? If Nigerian government decides to give each citizen from 18 and above #1million, we will still have much in our reserve/treasury. But what are they doing with our common wealth? To enrich themselves...

No jobs
No good health care
No good water
No good roads
No food
And so on.

Look at Dubai, they got their oil after us, in infrastructure, they are there. In well being of the citizens, they are there.

Since we took over from the whites, we cant seriously rule ourselves. Can we say the should come back to recolonize us again?
Sit down and do the Math you proposed and you will find that you are completely wrong!. Just 100 people will take 100million going by your Mathematics! grin And yes, he is not totally wrong.

This is why someone like me support regionalism and for regions and states to control their resources. This way, people wont care about population which the north use to claim the center.
Nigeria's issue is very easy to fix. Just make the center weak and unattractive. Everyone will reset their brain and born wetin them fit care for
Exactly!

RomanceRe: The People I Pity The Most In Nigeria by LordIsaac(m): 11:00pm On Jul 29, 2024
Scientheosopher:
Funnily strange and unfair is that consolation—in that— a criminal might repent at the dying minute in death's bed or like one of the criminals that was crucified with Jesus, and still go to heaven.

That said, I have given this idea of paradise/heaven/immortality a long thought. And it strucks me as rather odd. For immortality is its own torture. The very knowledge of not dying makes life boring for it seems to make one have the view of how things would go. It's like rewatching a movie many times. For the first time, it'd be interesting. But replay it many times and it becomes not-so interesting.

To live is to suffer. And this is as it's for Man and as it's for God. The only true end to that suffering is death. So for humans, death is the (known) consolation for our suffering; for knowing that one day all these running in a circle would end is a consoler. But strangely, some think living forever is the greatest consoler. What they don't think is that it's very likely that life in heavens is so predictable and hence boring that God decided to create us for amusement. It's like watching a toddler. As an adult, you know (s)he would fall but you find it funny because of the way they go about it.

Hence, I'm irreligious. So the reward at the end isn't my drive. It's rather living my life in such a way that when Life happens, there won't be regrets and guilt running around in my mind. This would enable me to quickly come up with an idea to get out the mess or make it less messy.

That feeling is more than anything!

#One life is enough for me.
We are all saved by grace through faith. It is the gift of God lest any man should boast!

RomanceRe: The People I Pity The Most In Nigeria by LordIsaac(m): 5:13pm On Jul 29, 2024
It is not new. Scripture itself affirms that, "yea, and all that will live godly in Christ must suffer..." because Christ Himself bore a cross. The kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness, faith and joy in the HolyGhost. So, don't pity them; the saints of old bore worse to gain Christ. The consolation is that there is a reward in the end. May God help us.

The Gbajue coroner has a deceptive demeanor- going from party to party with the sole aim of only achieving the Igbo dream of being President, that's all. He is not different from the others!
